This is a cozy and chic restaurant! Parking is a bit limited on the lot but you can park on the street. The staff is friendly and interior is beautifully decorated. Started with a pomegranate margarita to drink. For entrees we got mixed shawarma and kofta kebab. Finished the meal with knafe. Pomegranate Margarita- The base is strong with a refreshing pomegranate flavor. It has just the right amount of sweetness with a hint of tartness. Mixed Shawarma- It comes with chicken and beef shawarma. Both are tender and flavorful. It comes with warm pita bread, fattoush salad, and garlic and tahini sauce. The salad offers a freshness that complements the rest of the items. The sauces are perfect on the meat. Kofta Kebab- You get ground beef kebab that is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Pairs well with basmati rice and fattoush salad. You get a tasty yoghurt sauce that ties the flavors together. Knefe- This is a delicious dessert that comes with gooey cheese on a shredded phyllo base that is nice and crunchy. Finished with a sweet honey and rosewater syrup and a sprinkle of crushes pistachios. Great experience overall!

Yalla Yalla you'll want to run over and check this place out. It is nice to have an authentic LEBANESE spot in the area! From food to decor my Lebanese GRANDMA was taken back to her roots. From the Thyme to Eat menu: I highly recommend the ZAATAR bread and CHEESE bread. I wasn't the biggest fan of the meat bread option but I think that comes down to preference. From the Bei menu: I loved the FATTOUSH salad which was beautifully presented. It was encased in a perfectly crisped piece of Arabic bread, which presented a break open concept for a fun surprising twist. I will be back with my grandma to try more from the menu!

Great food, service, and ambiance! We went with the tasting menu for a group of 4. The cold/hot mezze platters were delicious and the meats were great. Our server, George was very friendly and helpful with recommendations.

Came here with friends for a birthday celebration. We had a belly dancer and a DJ - playing music and dancing. They have small area for dancing. Service was really bad because we didn't get our drinks that we ordered and we didn't get water that we ordered. Many of us had to ask the servers for couple of times to bring the water and utensils to eat dinner. There were about 5 or 6 appetizers in small portions and we shared the plates of chicken kebabs, lamb kebabs, and beef kebabs. Rice came with the order. It was a family style dinner and we all shared the foods that we ordered. Appetizers included some salads and vegetables dishes and fried cheese sticks. Cocktail drinks were okay but pricey. Great place to hang out with friends with music, dancing, and hookah. It would have been a good rating if service was improved.

We came here for our Valentine's date on a Monday to avoid the crowd, and it was perfect. The setting is beautiful -- intimate lighting, roses on the table, and a great atmosphere. AJ took amazing care of us. He let us pick our seats, turned on the heater, and gave great recommendations from the hookah menu. We ordered the chicken shawarma and steak shawarma, and everything was high quality and absolutely delicious. The food does take a little time to come out, but it was 100% worth the wait. We also had the pomegranate margaritas -- beautiful presentation and amazing flavor (we ended up getting two). We cleaned every plate. Great service, great food, and an overall great experience. We'll definitely be back.

so good. lamb chops in the shared meat plate absolutely blown my mind away. i will be thinking about this restaurant and bringing all my friends and family! service was really nice and offered us more pita wraps and additional sauce. i really liked the garlic sauce as well. the fattoush salad was so fresh and paired well with the meat so it didn't feel too heavy. very upbeat place that's great for hangouts and there's a DJ right in front playing groovy house music. it was a unique and delicious restaurant that i will be coming back for sure

Absolutely delicious meal at BEI Restaurant. The grilled meats were perfectly cooked--juicy chicken, tender beef, and rich flavors in every bite. I booked a huge family dinner for Martin at Bei for his birthday -- I'd be wanting to take him here for forever because it's his favorite cuisine -- and I was so happy that it didn't disappoint! Everyone had such a great time! Loved the beautiful atmosphere -- feels very date nighty! Even with our large group, service was impeccable -- so friendly and attentive! And the food -- amazinggg! If you have a party over 6 (we were 18) they give you a select menu to choose from that guarantees you more than enough food for everyone. We shared a bunch of dishes, and everything was super flavorful and fresh. Standouts were the juicy chicken kebab and all the side dishes to dip the pita bread in like the spicy hummus, labneh, and kibbeh nayyeh. Definitely our new fav Mediterranean spot and the perfect place for a family get together or celebration. We'll be back soon!

Upon arrival there is a small amount of parking in the back. We had an early reservation at 530pm. They have a cute patio area intimate for a date or family dinner. Very cute vibe in here. They have alcoholic drinks and mocktails. They start off serving you pita chips with a sauce (idk what it was called). My friend loved it. We started with a hummus appetizer. The hummus tasted good and fresh. I wasn't a big fan of the pita, it had a whole wheat flavor to it. It wasn't bad, just not my preference. I ordered the strawberry crush mocktail IT Was SOO GOOD. And my friend ordered herself the cucumber mocktail and she loved it!! We then ordered the bei kabob platter. My favorites were the chicken, ribeye kabob and the lamb chops!! Delicious. I also loved the salad and whatever sauce they put on the pita chips was amazing. The salad was well balanced with a variety of flavors and freshness. The babaganoush was SO good and all the other sauces on the platter was too. The pita served with the platter had this spicy garlic sauce inside and it was To die!!!! Sooo goooood! Ended our night with baklava. It was a bit too sweet for me. Service was good. The servers here are attentive and sweet. Good looking too if I may add, and very professional! Shout out Oscar!! They told us that on weekends they have belly dancers, djs, singers, etc. and it usually starts around 8pm. They also have hookah for about $40. We didn't get any because we had to leave for our next plans. We will be back for the fun performances, cute vibes and delicious fooood!!

I had dinner at Bei Lebanese restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolutely phenomenal experience from start to finish. the quality of their food is unparalleled. Best Lebanese food, we through an event for 60 people and had a blast. The service what Top Notch. There are two sections to the place , the other part has hookah it's defiantly a great vibe can't wait to see this place grow. I want to thank the staff especially Rolland . If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was a disaster from the moment we walked in. The service? Absolutely terrible. We were ignored for nearly 20 minutes while staff stood around chatting, and when someone finally came over, they acted like we were inconveniencing them just by existing. The food was bland, overcooked, and somehow still managed to be cold. I've had better hummus out of a gas station fridge. Everything felt rushed and careless--like they gave up trying a long time ago. Save your money, your time, and your taste buds. This place has no business calling itself a Mediterranean restaurant. read more

Ben reading good things about this restaurant and finally gave it a try. A.J., our server, was incredibly polite and efficient. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us frequently. We had the shawarma wraps and it was a great choice. 1 chicken, 1 beef, both deemed very good. Nice balance of tender juicy protein with pickle and fries. Started with a hot fried appetizer of phyllo wrapped cheese. Tasty and not too filling to ruin the rest of the meal. The restaurant will now be one of our go-to places for lunch and dinner. read more

BEI is a hidden gem in Costa Mesa. You would never expect such a beautiful elegant interior of a restaurant just driving by. This is definitely a 5 star restaurant with parking in the back! Tommy was our server and he was outstanding, and the Owner was so nice too! We started to order the fried cauliflower and Tommy recommended (a sign of a great server) getting the mixed fried vegetables (cauliflower, zucchini squash & eggplant, and sliced tomatoes with tahini dressing instead). I got the chicken breast kebob: 6 good-sized tender, tasty pieces over light and fluffy rice, along with the salad which was perfectly dressed with light fried pita chips on top. The hummus and whipped garlic sauce were also yummy. The creamy-cheese like filling with the pita piece was great as well. My kid got the Mixed Shawarma with both chicken and beef. Good-sized portions and he thoroughly enjoyed it too! Oh, I forgot to mention that there are complimentary fried pita chips with Za'atar sauce that are so addicting that you just can't stop eating them. Yum! Can't wait to go back and try the other dishes, and next time, will save room for dessert. read more

This place is a must visit if you are in or around the Costa Mesa area. Come hungry because the menu has an awesome selection of the best Lebanese dishes. I ordered the beef shawarma w/rice and a Fettoush salad. It was AMAZING!!! The restaurant itself is very modern, super clean and has great art work that leaves you with Beirut vibes!. The staff ... I can't say enough good things about the staff. They all were so very attentive. Checking in on our table constantly and making sure we were taken care of. I would come to this place again and again. Had a craving for a shawarma and decided to try Bei, first the decoration is cool and slick, small eating area however it makes it more cozy. We were greeted and served by 2 servers (Dominic and the Austrian guy) amazing service first and foremost, they made the experience way better, so thank you for that. A As for food, man did we order like we order in Lebanon, a full mezza, hummus, baba ghanouj, tabouleh, batata harra, rakakat cheese etc... the taste is spot on, only comment is the Toum sauce, it was very citric and not dense as a typical Lebanese toum, but maybe modified for American taste. Calling all Lebanese people to the floor... what an amazing experience. If you Middle Eastern you definitely need to try this! The music is so nice and makes you feel like you are back home. The quality of food is quite incredible. Both the shawarma and the beef kabob plate is soo good. The meat are very juicy and flavorful. The fattoush is so refreshing and the humus and toum is sooo yummy and creamy. The ambience is such a vibe. Even the water taste great which at some restaurant is hard to do... the water tasted nice and filtered. Overall 10/10 experience and recommend for any of you craving middle eastern food. Food was very tasty and interesting. Got the appetizer selection and the entree selection for two. Entree seemed expensive at $55, but did have a lot of food and two of us didn't finish it. Great selection of beef, lamb, chicken on the tray. Patio style setting nicely heated, but might be a better pick for warmer days. I'm 100% Lebanese and I can honestly say this place is authentic and absolutely delicious. The setting is warm and inviting, and the music creates such a great atmosphere. The quality of the food was outstanding it was tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was prepared with care, and the portions were generous. We just went a few nights ago. Had a wonderful time. The Chef is outstanding and the owner is on site. The outdoor space was decorated just like an indoor space. Very comfortable. The food is also great. Please give this new restaurant a try. read more

We had a wonderful dinner here last night. The hot and cold mezze are delicious and the mixed shawarma platter was generous and tasty. We went early before the hookah and belly dancing with live music at 8:30 pm. Next time we'll go for the entertainment too. Thanks Tommy! read more

Just returned from Istanbul. Came here and all of the dishes were as good or better. The "real" Lebanese with us said it was as good as mom and grandma made. Tony served us who was more than pleasant and gave great suggestions. The outdoor venue was done well and hardly felt it was on harbor blvd. read more

Found this place on yelp and gave it a try. They have a parking area but it's very small so prepare to look for street parking! The vibe is quite nice and cozy. Service was excellent and the food was good. Nothing blew me away in terms of flavor but that's just a personal preference. In fact, their yogurt had an aftertaste which kinda threw me off but I didn't complain either. Didn't think it was a big deal. Everything else was nice. Best bit for me would be the hummus. read more

such an amazing little spot tucked away in costa mesa. delicious food with great customer service. i'd recommend making a reservation just for convenience but it's never too busy inside which is shocking because it's so good. i can see how parking might be difficult if it gets crowded but ive been twice both times on a weekday and parking has never been an issue. i love the dips with raw veggies as well as the shawarma platters. 10/10 read more

We went here tonight to share dinner. We weren't super hungry and ordered a few things to share. Servicewas terribly slow and our server seemed to be irritated that we weren't ordering more food ( we shared an app, a main and each had a glass of wine). The attitude was unbearable. All of the food needed salt except for the chicken kebab which was crazy salty. All in all was a disappointing experience, especially because of being treated so poorly by the staff. Needless to say we won't be back. read more

Had my birthday dinner & was one of the best times! The food was amazing and tasted like the homeland. Brought 7 of my friends who were not Middle Eastern, and they couldn't stop talking about the food , the ambiance, great service & couldn't wait to come back again !! A group of 6, we opted for the Tier 3, four course meal. It was the perfect way to taste many dishes family style. The food is beyond amazing! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented. The service was attentive, well-paced, and friendly. My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays, so a special dessert was served at the end. The $55/person plus gratuity was worth every penny. The portions were just right for the group. We brought our own wine and were happy to pay $25/bottle (2 limit) corkage fee. Will definitely return to enjoy our favorites. If you're looking for some authentic Lebanese food, you have to check this place out. BEI serve some really good food. My best friend is Lebanese and this compares to his mom's cooking. She was rude and came off really disrespectful, and at one point said things that felt degrading. It made my boyfriend so uncomfortable that he actually left and went outside just to get away from it. Instead of calming things down, she got more aggressive and tried to intimidate me and my friend into leaving. She straight up told us to go and wouldn't even let me finish my martini. I had a long week and just wanted to relax, and that moment felt so unnecessary and frustrating. We still love Kitsch Bar, but that experience with Sofia was not okay and definitely left a bad impression. Hopefully it's not something others have to deal with.

For context, I come from Egyptian heritage. I'm first-generation American, and both of my parents grew up in Cairo. The dishes I ordered -- Hawashy as an appetizer and Makaroni Bechamel (Bashmil) casserole -- are foods I grew up with. The last time I had this exact meal cooked for me by my mother was several years ago, so placing this order felt like a gamble, especially with the restaurant being all the way in Anaheim while I live in Irvine. That gamble paid off immediately. From the very first bite, the food tasted unmistakably authentic. The hawashy was deeply seasoned, rich, and comforting -- exactly how it's supposed to be, not watered down or adjusted for convenience. The makaroni bechamel was the real emotional gut punch in the best way possible. Creamy, savory, perfectly spiced, and layered the way it's done back home. It tasted like something made with care, patience, and respect for the dish. I'm not exaggerating when I say this meal hit me hard. After one bite, I literally called the restaurant just to thank them. I asked to speak to the manager and told him what this meal meant to me -- how it tasted like something my own mother would make, how it brought back memories I didn't realize I'd been missing. That call wasn't planned. It was instinctive. Huge shout-out to Zayne, the manager, who was incredibly kind and generous on the phone. He even sent along kunafa for dessert, which was the perfect ending to the meal -- warm, sweet, and beautifully made. Beyond the food itself, the packaging deserves real praise. Everything arrived hot, which is not easy, especially for a casserole like makaroni bechamel. Once that dish cools too much, it loses something important. This didn't. It arrived as if it had just come out of the oven, which speaks volumes about the care taken in preparing orders for delivery. This is not a 5-star review because of nostalgia or heritage alone. **Review of Bei Kebab: A Disgraceful Dining Experience** I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant in my life. My recent visit to Bei Kebab was an absolute disaster from start to finish. The ordeal began with our appetizers, which took an eternity to arrive. After an agonizing wait, the server casually informed us that they were ready. Instead of bringing them out, he vanished for about ten minutes to review our order. When he finally returned, he had the audacity to ask for corrections! Seriously, how about serving us the appetizers first before wasting our time? It was infuriating and completely unacceptable. When the appetizers finally graced our table, we were handed an additional plate as some sort of consolation for the delay. The server smugly declared that it was a gesture to make up for our wait. So, like any reasonable person would do, we began to eat what was served to us. Imagine our shock when the manager returned a mere ten minutes later, scolding us for eating the extra plate, which, according to him, wasn't actually meant for us! Are you kidding me? In what world are diners expected not to eat food that is placed in front of them? We were explicitly told it was ours, yet somehow we were made to feel guilty for enjoying a meal we believed was given to us out of goodwill. It's absurd! The experience only worsened when the bill arrived. We were slapped with an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of six, even though only five of us actually ate. When I pointed this out, the manager had the gall to argue with me, asking how they were supposed to know. Well, I don't know, maybe because you took our order and saw that one person didn't order a single thing? Instead, he insisted that this individual ordered a glass of water. Really? We're being charged gratuity because someone had a water? The entire situation felt like a pathetic attempt to squeeze more money out of us. And when I expressed my concerns about the high prices, especially for such lackluster food, I was met with guilt trips about not wanting to tip appropriately. If I'm being charged nearly $30 for chicken and rice, I'm not exactly feeling generous! To add insult to injury, I was also charged $0.50 and $1.00 for hot sauce and tahini. While it may not seem like a lot, it's the principle of the matter. If you're running a restaurant, you should inform customers about such charges upfront. And let's not forget the manager's continued insistence that we didn't have to pay for the extra plate. Yes, because you served it to us and told us it was ours! The logic here is baffling. In the end, we left a tip despite the horrendous service, and to our utter disbelief, we were told, "You're not welcome back." What an insult! We were treated like children simply because we questioned your questionable practices and terrible food quality. The sambousas had zero flavor, and the overall dining experience was dismal. I can confidently say that I 100% DO NOT recommend Bei Kebab to anyone. If you value your money and your time, steer clear of this establishment. My experience certainly doesn't seem to be an isolated incident, as evidenced by the other scathing reviews. Avoid at all costs! read more

Bei was an incredible find, and it is some of the best Lebanese food I've ever had. The kafta was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right, while the fatoush was fresh with the perfect balance of citrus and crunch. The hummus was creamy and full of flavor, and the baba ganoush had that ideal smoky taste. The endless bread was amazing. Everything tasted so authentic and homemade. Bei brings the Beirut dinning experience to Costa Mesa and we needed something like this. Many fast casual places around but nothing this nice in Costa Mesa or surrounding areas. We needed this.
