We heard about this all you can eat (AYCE) dim sum (from 11am to 3 pm everyday) from our Uber driver. I had never been to a Chinese restaurant that served AYCE before. For $17 plus tax ($20 pp) there are a lot to choose from. They advertised 50 items. My stomach could not handle that much but we gave it a go. The steam items were pretty fresh but the fried dim sum was not the freshest. Food 4/5 star worth noting they had my favorite dessert, water chestnut cake which isn't available in most Chinese restaurants. Service 4/5 star for a Chinese restaurant this is good. Most stuff was lukewarm as I got there in the early afternoon and stuff was sitting out for a while. Definitely a no frills spot when it comes to dim sum. Unfortunately, we saw some unsanitary handling (using the same gloves to change the trash bag and continuing to touch plates and food). My family came on a Tuesday afternoon for the AYCE dim sum. The first thing we noticed was that the interior of the restaurant was quite warm and humid but otherwise, the place wasn't too busy and we were immediately seated. All the dim sum is somewhat self-serve in that there is no cart service and there is a designated area where all the dim sum is stored and a staff member will hand you what you want. If there is something they currently don't have, you can ask and they will make it for you. I was impressed with the quality and size of everything and it was definitely worth the $18.99/person. The youtiao in the zhaliang were a bit hard, which might be due to the lack of sauce, but I still enjoyed it. Beijing is my hometown, so I'm admittedly picky about Peking duck, both in China and abroad. Beijing Duck Seafood Restaurant absolutely hit the mark. The duck was rich, juicy, and genuinely authentic--very different from the Cantonese-style roast duck often mistaken for Peking duck. We'll definitely be bringing friends back. We also enjoyed the eggplant with shrimp. The mapo tofu, in my view, could use more heat. Overall, a very good experience. Had Dim Sum here and forgot to take pictures. I was with friends old and new. I like the slight alternatives on various dim sum and it was buffet style. Don't leave waste unless you want to pay extra though. The servers explained what the items were which was really nice. They do take cc here unlike what I was told over the phone but a reasonable 3% charge. They only take reservations for evening hours after dim sum ends at 3 PM but duck should be reserved at any time of day beforehand. They did not tell me this over the phone either even though I had mentioned this. When I was asking a staffer on site about how the bill could be split, the staffer, I am guessing the manager, seemed concerned that I could not pay and even seemed to imply laughing at me a bit. For $105, you get table side cutting service and a gong, and some very crispy duck with homemade crepe/pancakes for wrapping, but unless you are a Peking duck purist, it doesn't feel as satisfying to me as some of the cheaper ducks around town. When we were leaving, I asked about the dim sum and learned that they have all-you-can-eat dim sum (I had never heard of such a thing) for a very good price. We returned another day to try the dim sum. You have to get the food yourself buffet style and there aren't as many options as you'll see at a traditional-style dim sum restaurant, but you can order items that you don't see which are then brought to your table. I don't eat pork and normally cannot eat shu mai for that reason, so I was very happy to learn that their shu mai does not have pork in it and they were big and tasty. The ha gau were also well-made and filled with big shrimps. The ha cheung was similarly filled with big shrimps. If you're a shrimp lover, then you're in heaven at this place. It really is a great deal for the price. If you just want good food and don't mind serving yourself, you can save yourself some money and eat here instead of a traditional-style dim sum restaurant. read more

I ate with a friend and we sat communal style at a huge table with 3 other people (another couple and someone eating solo). we thought it was odd but that didn't put a damper in the experience. this place doesn't do cart service (looks too crowded to do it) so you have to pick up the dim sum yourself on a tray. the attendants of the area hand you the steamers for you instead of you picking it out. and i get that for hygiene and efficiency this is probably best. all to say, loved the food. dumplings were so flavorful, and i ordered a plate of rice noodles xiamen style and that was great too. Traveling the country trying out dim sum restaurants I came to this place based on a local friend's recommendation. There were many options to choose from and the food tasted excellent and authentic. No cart pushing with everything being ordered straight off the menu, meaning everything was fresh.
