I've never been to Palm Springs, but the pool at the new Durango casino definitely is giving Palm Springs vibes -- the sunny yellow daybeds, the astroturf near the back, the white curtains of the cabanas billowing in the breeze, and of course, the palm trees punctuating and surrounding this modern oasis in the desert. Ordinarily, the entry fee is $30 Monday through Friday, and $40 on the weekends, and even more on certain holidays. My friends were staying at this hotel, so I was able to enjoy complimentary admission with them. I was impressed with the cleanliness and overall atmosphere. The pool is on the smaller side, not too crowded. The lily pads and some chaise lounge chairs are actually on top of the water, so theoretically you never have to leave the poolside. There's a small fountain flowing in the center, which is reminiscent of Red Rock casino's style. I didn't try the food, but I did get a cocktail -- the TROPICAL MOJITO. It looked promising in its 14 oz glory and garnished prettily, but alas, it was rather weak, especially at $18. So I was disappointed in that regard. Thus, the missing star. Everything else was nice. This place is exceptional! My friend and I decided to come today April 15th 2024. We arrived around 12:30pm and talked to the girls in the front at check In they went over the daybed and cabana prices. We were more interested In just paying for GA since we just wanted to eat and lay out and we're not interested in drinking. The girls were nice enough to let us in with two lounge chairs in the pool right next to the bar with perfect sun. We ordered some coconut waters and some food, we ordered the yellowtail, Durango roll and Caesar salad, the food was absolutely delicious. The weather was perfect the music was amazing and it wasn't busy so that was nice. We had a few different servers helping us and they were so sweet!! We enjoyed our time here and left around 5pm we will definitely be back to check out a daybed and bring some more friends!! Im going to start by saying this place is the right spot to be in the summer if you are a local in las vegas. They have a heated pool and 2 full bars, 1 on each side of the pool. The cocktails are ok that why I didn't give it the full 5 starts but the food was good. They also have a live Dj playing on the weekends. The service was also good they were always on point when it came to ordering drinks or food or anything else we needed. 3.5/5 The overall vibe of the day was nice. We rented a daybed that was comfortable and spacious! The food was decent-nachos were huge and sushi was fresh. Drinks were good, too. The reason for the 3.5 stars was the overall lack of service throughout the day from the server and the experience of closing out our tab. Our server brought our tab to us along with her "assistant" (he was there to help with umbrellas, space, etc. but was not a server and was nonexistent the entire time we were there 11-4). After handing it to us, she explained there were two areas to tip, one for her and one for him because they are a "different tip pool" and then both proceeded to stand and watch us as we figured out the tip. The pressure to tip was crazy and felt very demanding of a tip. If they could find a different procedure of how a customer pays their tab so they don't feel so pressured, that would be my only suggestion. At the end of the day, we would go back...the pool itself and DJ were great. read more

$40 entry as a local on a Sunday. Felt a little pricey, but hopefully that helps keep the crowd a bit more classy. It's worth it to get a daybed or cabana since the free lounge chairs fill up quickly, and the only other option is to spread your towel out on the turf on the outskirts of the pool area. The vibes were pretty good no matter what section you were in, though. We arrived around 2 p.m., and the pool and pool bars were very busy. They were also sold out of all cabanas and daybeds already. For drinks, we started with skinny margaritas, and I thought it was a great drink--exactly what I asked for. We also ordered an açaí bowl and French fries, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good they were since I didn't have super high expectations for pool food. We (try to) visit family in Summerlin every year and schedule a pool/cabana day at a local resort. This year we chose the Bel-Aire Backyard at the Durango and we had a great day! Professional, warm, and attentive service, delicious food and drinks, and a tidy and wonderful setting. We went on a Tuesday, probably one of the hottest days in July - so getting in and out of the water (or sun) happened quite often. We always have a good time here. It's definitely been our go to spot for the summer. I've eaten lunch a few times at the bar, always delicious. We've reserved some day beds a couple of times, always a good time. Music is always on point. Bathroom is always clean, service is always good. One of the bartenders is my favorite - he always wants to talk sports betting which I'm very into. Always enjoyed each bartender we've had. Been there on weekends and during the week for lunch and prefer during the week. Less busy and less money to get in. Valet is always free and it's right next to the pool so use valet and tip those guy. read more

The pool was nice, the cocktail server was so friendly, but our drinks were not good. We could barely taste our alcohol in any of our drinks. Also, the pina coladas just tasted like ice. We ordered over 10 drinks and they were all awful. However, the only thing good was the cocktail server. She was so nice and always came by to check on us. Other than that, we would not come back. Overall wanted to love my experience here but ultimately was a disappointment and ended very strangely. My best friend was coming to visit me in Vegas, so my husband and I wanted to make a special day out of it and booked a daybed for the Friday pool party. Just be aware you have to pay $250 just to have the daybed and that does not go towards a minimum or anything at all, simply just the spot. Honestly, that annoyed me and should've been my first sign that this may not be for me, but I figured we would do it anyway. We arrive super excited and initially everyone was super kind and our spot was very fun so we were happy to be there. We ended up being there for about six hours, the food was decent however, we ordered seven pitchers of drinks ($80 a pop by the way) and the three of us at the end of the day did not feel remotely tipsy at all. Just be aware that ordering the mixed drinks may not be the way to go. Ultimately, after the rental fee and everything we ordered and tip, our bill was around $850 for 3 people. Pretty steep, but that's to be expected in Vegas. I paid the bill and the server Let me know that there were two separate sections for tips: 1. for the female servers, and 2. For the male runners (these are the guys who actually did all of the work the entire day). I notated on the two separate lines on my receipt the tip, my card was charged, and then we left. As I'm about to enter the Uber pick up area, I hear someone running behind me and I turn around and it's our female server. She literally chased me all the way outside. She explained that she "charged me incorrectly" and that I needed to go back with her. Never once did she tell me how I was incorrectly charged, but just was very adamant that I needed to go back immediately. I checked my account and confirmed that the money was withdrawn per what was on the receipt, so I was super confused, and the whole scene was embarrassing. When we made it back to the beach club, the security guard acted as though I had dined and dashed or something and attempted to intervene, which was so ridiculous. The server did let him know that it was her fault. I get back to the bar area and I'm informed they are going to need to run my card again??? I explained I had a full weekend of plans and couldn't justify my account being double withdrawn for this ridiculous amount. They continue to not tell me what was wrong with the original charge, and proceeded to run my card again. They informed me the other charge would drop off, but this was on a Friday and I knew it would not drop off for quite some time and once again I had all these expensive plans planned for the weekend. Thankfully, I had money to make this work, but it's super not ideal. The original charge did not drop off for over a week after we were there. Upon looking at both receipts, I realize the server simply charged me the tips incorrectly. So you had to charge my card twice because of your error on an optional portion of the check. I wish she had been upfront with me about that and I would've venmoed, zelled, etc. I didn't understand how there was no transparency about the error and now I realize it was because it was over the optional tip section and not my ACTUAL bill. Honestly, pretty ridiculous and I will not be back. read more

As a local, I visited the pool for the first time with my 3yo daughter on a slow Tuesday afternoon. I was told I had to buy a $200 cabana just for my daughter swim if I wasn't a hotel guest. So I had many questions. As the staff was trying to help me out, the manager named PJ not only told the employees to walk away from me, but made me and my daughter feel completely unwelcomed. He ignored us and showed us no hospitality at all. Not a word or explanation. Just a rude overall experience, mind you I've worked at major day clubs on the strip 4x as busy and our managers have never been rude to guests as he was. Please do better...that man is not fit to be a manager at such a nice venue like that. read more
