    Margarita pizza

Food, service and atmosphere were top notch. We loved the charcuterie board and yummy pizza. Astros game being on above the bar was an added bonus. Thanks for a great end to a fun shopping day in Round Top!

My cousin raved about how good this pizza wa, I was not disappointed. Made fresh with fresh ingredients Louis, the owner stopped by to day hello, very nice gentleman. Definitely on planning to return with friends.

I found this gem of a restaurant in New Ulm Texas that we happened to see and stopped in. Upon entering you are greeted with a very inviting space that makes you want to just pull up a chair and stay awhile. Our waitress greeted us with a big smile and made you feel right at home. The menu is a mix of appetizers, salads, paninis, subs, and pizzas. All the items on the menu sounded amazing which made the choice that much harder. Appetizer: Cheesy Garlic Bread. 9/10 $6.99 It doesn't get much better than a warm slice of cheesy garlic bread, served with a savory marinara sauce for dipping. The bread itself is oh so yummy but that marinara sauce is to die for. I could of just eaten this and would of left happy Entrees: Meatball. 9/10 $12.99 A traditional Italian : American sandwich with meatballs and marinara sauce on a toasted bun with melted cheese, is a fam favorite. This meatball sub was amazing, simple yet full of flavor. The bread was crispy and the meatballs melted in your mouth. The cheese was very creamy and complimented that heavenly marinara sauce exceptionally well. Had the pasta salad as my side and it is really good. It is made with perfectly cooked Cavatappi pasta, pepperoni, cucumber, bell peppers, and tomatoes with a yummy crdressing. Garlic Chicken Parm. 9/10 $13.99 Grilled chicken, marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, pimentos and sweet basil pesto, served a on buttery garlic hoagie roll. The flavors are off the chart, the pesto along with the marinara are killer and will keep you coming back for more. Desserts: Tiramisu. 7/10 $6.99 An elegant and rich layered Italian dessert made with delicate ladyfinger cookies, espresso or instant espresso, mascarpone cheese, eggs, sugar, Marsala wine, rum and cocoa powder. This one is your basic tiramisu but don't get me wrong it was really good and hit the sweet spot for sure. This small town pizzeria has some most excellent food and service around. This is a must try if you are in or close to New Ulm Texas. They also have a boutique that sells a host of items.

Outstanding pizza. The crust is great. Salads really good too. An unusual find that I should have visited much sooner. I'll be back!

No question, if you are in New Ulm - you need to make a stop here. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine? Stop. Here. The service was excellent (Lewis the manager was super accommodating, and our server was a sweetheart and on top of it!) and the food was DELICIOUS!! Again, stop here if you are in the area. It's a hidden gem. Edit to add: got to experience the first breakfast service at Bel Tavolo and it was delicious. I could have made a meal out of the hash. And the caramel iced coffee was a perfect pairing.

Just felt calm right away. Inside is super open with really tall ceilings. There's a small bar upstairs they call a speakeasy... it's not really hidden since you can see it from downstairs, but it's still a nice little vibe. Drinks were really good too. They stay pretty busy, but service didn't miss a beat. Food came out looking good and actually tasted just as good. Always a win. Only thing is when it gets packed, it does get pretty loud, especially upstairs at the bar. So just something to keep in mind depending on the vibe you're going for. And honestly, the fire pits outside were probably my favorite part. Perfect spot to sit and hang out for a bit. If you're in Round Top, it's definitely worth checking out.

My food was the palazzo pasta and added wild caught salmon, I like it. It had too much pepper for my taste but still ok. My friends ordered the chicken salad, wedge salad and salmon, scholtskys sandwich and salad with shrimp. They have a bar upstairs and a beautiful selection of wine, this is such a charming place to visit when in Round top.

We had a group of 8 adults who had just completed touring 2 of the Painted Churches, in and around Schulenburg. While our tour guide greeted several servers as we entered like old friends, I don't think that was the cause of their friendliness to our group as a whole, I saw them happily greeting everyone and providing excellent service. Our happy server quickly took drink orders, you can tell when a server is confident in her job and knows the routines as she never wrote anything down but when she returned with drinks, the orders were all correct. She then took orders for lunch, we had a variety of offerings from the menu. I decided on the Tzatziki Salad, a nicely presented Greek style salad with grilled chicken breast slices and some tzatziki with pita points. Others around me had the Rueben and the grilled chicken salad and said everything was perfect. I also heard great things about the home made chicken salad and their hamburgers. I was pleasantly surprised at the absolutely amazing freshness and quality of the food and modern/light atmosphere of this place (a bit unexpected after a few lackluster food experiences in Schulenberg leading up to our lunch here). It was every bit at good as some of the cafes I've eaten in major cities (where there is heavy dining competition). Mom and I both ordered their delicious chicken salad sandwich, piled high (but not too thickly) with shredded chicken on perfectly baked, flaky (but not too flaky) croissant bread. The chicken salad was a perfect blend of seasonings with a few cranberries for a little sweetness. Divine! Each sandwich came with a side of crispy/perfect (seemingly handmade) chips. Our tour guide ordered a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich which she seemed to really enjoy as well, complete with perfectly buttered and crisp grilled sourdough bread. The atmosphere was very modern and new yet warm and dotted with beautiful antique pieces (be sure to check out the old buffet across from the bathroom doors, gorgeous!). And this place seemed packed with many locals in their brunch attire to enjoy the great food and great hospitality of the wait staff. Behind the restaurant, they also host a beautiful nursery where you can browse under the trees through their fairly extensive collection of plants (flowering and non flowering - we saw some variations of native flowering plants we've either never seen before or don't see often so my mom purchased a few for her garden!), chat with the very knowledgeable and friendly owner of the nursery, browse the little nursery gift shop full of unique and beautiful items, and even visit with the sweet "shop" kitties (who seem to like to hang out near the nursery gift shop entrance) if you wish. All in all, a very special experience at this gem in Schulenberg. We will definitely make this our number one stop for meals (and to buy more plants) in Schulenberg when we return!

The Stone Cellar is to the left and from there you can just order the food from the counter, whereas the lounge you will get table service. Given that this place also hosts live music, trying it out during the day when there wasn't a band (or crowds) made for an enjoyable lunch outing. I would say the menu has pub/bar fare and given that we were both craving pizza and a hamburger, we decided to order one of each to split. The staff also mentioned the Fried Gouda Bites are popular, so we opted for those as well. Let's start with the latter - the Fried Gouda bites were amazing, everything you could expect from freshly deep-fried cheese, decadent and tasty, these are a must order. For the burger, we ordered The Standard, and as the name suggests, their standard burger (I call these "diner-style") and my brother and I both agreed - this is damn near the perfect burger and the best one I've had in quite some time. It was just the perfect amalgamation meat, condiments, and sauce, with a delicious bun holding it all in together. Finally, the margarita pesto pizza was also great - crispy thin crust and just the right amount of cheese and sauce. So, don't overlook the Stone Cellar as a place to go see some live music, it has some amazingly delicious food as well. We will be back next year.

It wasn't too empty, but still surprised it wasn't more crowded on the weekend. They stared us off with two rolls of bread and butter. I loved it! The midget not so much. He isn't a fan of any non white bread. Oh well there was two for me! We started off with a wrapped shrimp and chicken appetizer. Ok so I will start with this. For the price we were expecting more than 4 pieces. Yet they were amazing! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The bed of thinly cut onion rings underneath was a great idea! The only thing we didn't like was a pinkish sauce that tasted a little like thousand island. Just no..... I had the boss top 12 oz medium rare, with a grilled chicken salad, and a side of green beans. The midget had the Nancys cheeseburger. First my steak was cooked perfectly! The only gripe was that it was under seasoned. It needed salt and pepper. The green beans on the side.. I've never had them like this. Grilled and seasoned. They were delicious! Had a snap and very well seasoned! The salad was fresh and the chicken was great. I threw on some of the fried onion from our appetizer and it was WOW! His burger was good. Again just missing the seasoning on the patty. Great bun and ratio of beef to veggies. Tons of fries. For us it was semi affordable. Other than the quantity of the appetizer, we were ok with the portions and prices. If the seasoning on the meats was better may have considered a 5 maybe. We may visit in the future if in the area.
