I have heard about this restaurant for quite some time and so we drove out on Sunday morning to have brunch and must tell you that the cuisine was quite good. I had eggs Benedict with crab, wonderful bacon, and home fries, and because I had traveled all the way out to Belleville, Texas. I made it a point to complement it all with a pancake, which was equally wonderful. It's a lovely restaurant and I think I read somewhere that it is old time Texas architecture and I must tell you it really was quite lovely. There was a patio and the weather was wonderful. We chose not to dine there but the next time we're in town. There is no question that we will make it a point to do so. The bartender was very capable, bloody Mary's and mimosas as well as a myriad of other drinks. Very many top shelf, liquors, and a wonderful cup of coffee make for not only a pleasant dining experience, but frankly a wonderful dining experience. Three parties came in after us and all left long before we did and no we didn't try to drag things out. We got the big party excuses. OK if I have to wait don't serve me my food cold. I had supposed Wagu beef. While it had a nice flavor it was tough and full of gristle. But I was comparing it to Japanese beef that I have had in Japan. This is probably one of the best restaurants I've been to in a long time. Everything we ordered was amazing. I especially liked the blue crab and corn fritter. The pepper blossoms were really good. I don't really like my brussel sprouts sweet, however it was still great. The steak has to be one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly! Must be that farm to table freshness! Actually, my favorite thing there was the bok choy that they allowed us to sub as one of the sides! Their snitzel and cucumber salad was pretty yummy too. Their pavlova had delicious cooked pears. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant felt cozy and inviting with a great atmosphere. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, our waitress was so sweet. I ordered fish and my husband had the steak, both were beautifully presented, but more importantly, absolutely delicious. The quality of the food really stood out. One of the highlights of the evening was watching fresh pasta being made right in front of us, which is something you don't come across often. We'll definitely be back. This is by far the nicest restaurant I have seen in Bellville in terms of decor service, and the menu offerings. I believe my last meal consisted of veal and some exotic sauces that I wasn't familiar with that tasted great. And more formal table service than I have received anywhere else in Bellville. If I remember correctly from the menu, they try to source local as much as possible, which helps to guide their menu. If you're looking for a reason to wear a full button up shirt, maybe even a tie and go out for a nice date. This is possibly the nicest place in Belleville for it. read more

Yet again, dinner here at the end of a daytrip to the area from Houston proved to be a delicious choice! The Bee's Knees cocktail kicked things off very well. We chose the Burata appetizer followed by the duck and the stuffed quail. Such yummy food. Generous portions. Fantastic value. Just passing through from Round Top and saw that this place has some good reviews. I find it to be a charming little restaurant! We loved the seating area by the big bay windows. Our server, Darlene was amazing! She offered up some great food options and the Chef owned up to all that hype on how amazing the food was!! Everything was delicious and full of flavor!! And our experience was enjoyable. On a side note: The bartender had a bit of an attitude...my advice not everyone is gonna like how you make your craft cocktails. We loved the food, even the kids agreed! The service we received was respectful (locals kept looking at our table). The ambiance was very quiet as we went for "brunch" on a Friday. We are new locals so it was our first time there and ordered a 'patty melt', 'chicken fried burger' and the kids had chicken tenders with fries as our sides. Every time we go here - we have to take a picture of our food because it's just THAT good. The toast by itself is filling and has so much flavor- it definitely has some weight to it so the quality is noticeable just by that. The menu changes weekly & we've had yet to have a bad dish. Normally I stay away from omelettes but this was great- love the spinach & greenery they always incorporate into this. They only open Thursday through Sunday and found out Thursdays are typically local yokel nights with the weekenders coming mostly on Fridays and Saturdays. You won't find an expansive menu . It's not inexpensive, but it's going to be set to what ingredients are available. However, their wine selection is not overpriced at all. We saw several couples come through for just a drink and dessert. We ate at the bar because we didn't have reservations and it was a busy Friday night. The bartender/mixologist makes great libations with his own spin on classic drinks. The place is clean and inviting. Expectedly tender, dusting of salt enhanced each bite. Absolutely loved it! The best stocked bar in Austin County, call it, they'll pour it! The Old Fashion came with frozen cinnamon sticks...the maraschino cherry was full flavor. Ordered with Maker's, this was a great take on a classic drink. The bar area is accommodating and inviting...you have a choice of dining inside with views of the town square, or in a covered courtyard patio. We had not been back to 22 North Holland in probably six weeks, due to the holidays and illnesses, but once all that cleared, we couldn't wait to get back to our favorite spot!! We went for brunch today and, as usual, talked about it the whole way home (to Brenham). We shared the (probably world famous!!) Brussels sprouts and can't believe how excited we get over eating this green vegetable. This is hands down the BEST preparation of Brussels sprouts we've ever had! The flavor balance is amazing- with a hint of honey, shaved almonds and sea salt. They are so light and delicious, and a great appetizer while you wait for your entree. We tried the omelet for the first time and it was excellent! Every ingredient is top quality, fresh, and you can taste the difference. This was a simple roasted tomato, herb and cheddar cheese omelet, cooked to perfection. Gabby, our server, was very friendly and attentive, making our visit even more special. This is such a bright, friendly, warm and inviting restaurant. We're so thankful to have it a short 20 minute drive away. Chef Cody Vasek is a super-skilled, passionate chef. Easter Brunch 2023 After reading the previous reviews on Yelp, we were ready for our 1st time visit. We had the highly recommended Yelp reviews Crispy Brussels Sprouts as a appetizer for our foursome, perfect amount to get us started. We were not disappointed, just wish I could have figured out how the chef / owner Cody cooks them to make them so delicious. We ordered a Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict; Two Gulf Blue Crab Remoulade Eggs Benedict and the Roasted Spring Leg of Lamb (all of the ingredients were so fresh). All 4 of us gave 5 STARS on our meals. Finished off splitting a cream brûlée and a peanut butter pie slice, both were wonderful. Cody introduced himself on our way out, such a nice guy and GREAT CHEFF!. Cudo's to the wait staff also. Today we had a great experience at Twenty Two North Holland. I was a little worried about running too close to the time they reset for dinner and close at 2, but it all worked out and we made our reservation time after a scheduled event. It was really important for us to have lunch here because 5 months ago, we shared a meal here before our son began attending the Texas Challenge Academy. While that day was very difficult, today was a celebration of him completing the program and finishing high school early. It tied a bow on the whole thing for our family and I'm so grateful to everyone at the restaurant for accommodating our large party, being kind and courteous, and not making us feel too rushed. We went for the first time last night. The place is very noisy but thats not their fault. I ordered the Red Fish dish which was $40. It was mediocre at best. Its was a kind of dry and not hot piece of red fish sitting on top of potatoes with basically clam water under it. It had 5 clams with it that were cold too and 3 pieces of dry cold baguette toast with no butter on them. Pretty bla. My wife had Brussel sprouts and pretzels. They were good but i had just as good at half the price. My buddys steak looked great and he said it was delicious. His wife had the Gnocchi, i don't think she liked it much. It didn't look that good. I had heard so many good things about the place so it was a disappointing (and expensive. $150 w/tip) experience. I will probably go back again someday for a second opinion as we are locals. read more

I'm so excited to have such delicious talent in Bellville. Open for lunch and dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and brunch on Sunday, this has been our family's go-to place at least weekly. Chef Cody's menu changes each week and features local products. It's fun to see the list of where everything comes from, I also appreciate the menu's variety based on what's available, fresh, and in-season. The atmosphere has a fun city vibe that's nicely lively without being too loud that you can't enjoy your company. The table spacing is just right, and bar seating gives everyone room to enjoy. Ty the bar manager definitely loves his job, providing a bit of prohibition era history to the ambiance. He's a purist for quality, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about sharing. I'd love a few more options for vodka-based fun drinks, but whiskey drinkers have more options. The wait staff is attentive, friendly, and busy keeping everything running smoothly. Any kinks have been worked out since opening, and the staff members are now familiar faces who are genuinely helpful. Overall, this is such a great value-add to our community.
