Came here for my birthday last week and it was brilliant. We sat outside which was lovely and warm and right by the train station so my son could watch the trains. It's hard to find a proper Irish place that hits home and Belfast gastropub does! We got the wings to start which were really good! Then I got the big bubba sandwich with grilled chicken and it was delicious I also got an order of curry sauce on the side. Proper Irish curry! My dad got the fish and chips he was just like home and my mum got a burger which was perfect. I ordered chicken fingers for my son and he loved them! He ate all his veg and got a nice treat! We got key lime for desert which was perfect! To top it off they had magners which just made my day. We'll definitely be back. read more

Four of us decided to have an early dinner Saturday night. The hostess was hysterical finding us a comfortable table and we decided to sit in the outdoor section which was quite comfortable. Our food was great! The braised short rib potato skins were delicious. For dinner we had short ribs, salmon with cauliflower mashed potatoes, strip steak and lobster ravioli...all delicious!! We all had an irish coffee - yummy. We sat at the bar afterwards and enjoyed the Guiness and the live DJ. We will definitely be back. read more

Was really craving French onion soup. The broth was practically clear so you can imagine the lack of flavor. Tasted like they ran out of soup and tried to make a quick replacement. The pretzel was good but the cheese sauce was like water and smelled rancid. Spicy crackle bites were like dog food. When they first opened, I went and was blown away by how good the food was. Went back a couple weeks later and it was mediocre. Heard a lot of bad reviews and didn't return for awhile. Decided to give them another chance last night and I think I'm done. Came here with my boyfriend and another couple on a Friday night, had a reservation and was seated outside. The outdoor patio looked very nice. Once you're sitting in the outdoor patio be ready so eat your food under the train station, it is extremely loud! Our server was attentive with drinks and appetizers and then disappeared and wasn't attentive after that. I ordered the fish and chips and my boyfriend ordered the corn beef and cabbage. The fish and chips were not crispy, the batter was more soggy and it was 1 large piece of fish, instead of multiple pieces. My boyfriends corn beef and cabbage came with 4 slices of corn beef over a half a head of just boiled cabbage, not shredded or even cleaned, still had the hard piece in the middle. Overall wasn't impressed with there Irish food and wouldn't come back. P.S. the owners may want to consider closing the doors from the outdoor patio to the inside bar as after 9 it turns into a club and you have people wandering into the outdoor patio. read more

EXCELLENT FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE, WONDERFUL LIVE MUSIC. Very comfortable seating, nice menu options, healthy and delicious, just-right portions, fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, all entrees arrived together and food was hot, plated beautifully with really thoughtful accompanying sides, salmon with cauliflower purée and spinach, short ribs with pickled onion garnish, these folks are down to earth and upscale all at the same time. This is not a gastropub...its a typical Irish Pub. As Irish pubs go it's pretty good. Everything you'd expect to see on a menu at Lily Flanagans is on the menu here. Just don't expect the typical creative menu that Gastropubs offer. There's no craft been here beyond what you can find at 7-11. The cocktail menu features an Apple Martini. This is not a place where I'd order a Manhattan. I get the feeling that they use the word Gastropub in their marketing as a parody or they just don't understand what a gastropub is and figured using that term would just trick people into coming in. Anyway, it's a solid Irish bar for fresh burgers, Coronas, and sports. If you want to go to a Gastropub that focuses on creative bar food then there's a couple of spots that actually do that in Lindenhurst, none of which feel the need to call themselves a Gastropub. read more

Went here last night with friends..delightfully delicious!! One of us had a delicious salad with grilled chicken, another an equally good turkey with avocado..the star of the night was one of the BEST PASTRAMI sandwiches I have ever eaten..layers of thinly sliced lean pastrami with oozing cheese & the crunchiest buttery bread..with a side of sweet potato fries..so good..the reason for 4 stars is the noise level with the LIRR trains close by..give this place a taste..you won't be disappointed!! read more

A very clean uncluttered dining room with comfortable seating. The menu was pleasing and a very appealing variety to choose from. our waitress Christina to the very very efficient job in taking out orders and pleasantly serving and checking to make sure there was nothing left to be desired. Lindenhurst finally has a beautiful restaurant/pub offering Irish hospitality and a menu that won't break the bank! My wife and I I had the best rueben sandwich we've had in a long time! Had lunch here. Food and service was ok (but over priced for the quality). Was upset when I spent about $100 on lunch for 2 with one beer and then on top of that they charge a 4% service just for paying with my card . Total BS. I'll never eat here again read more

The food here seems frozen and not fresh. I was not impressed by any certain dish and my wife and I ordered many things on the menu. Locals like myself seem to frequent the establishment out of convenience but if this place is to attract foodies or outside residence the food quality will need to improve. read more

First of all...what's the deal with the lack of Irish selections on the menu? It seems to be a running trend on Long Island that "Irish" restaurants are moving away from the cuisine that makes their places unique...My wife and I recently dined at Lily Flanagan's and noticed this same trend...Regardless, we were drawn by the excitement and positive vibes this place was generating...We decided to go for an early dinner (around 4pm) and chose the sidewalk dining area because it was relatively cool outside-the other options: the bar seating area looked inviting but later appeared loud, chaotic and crowded (YIKES-there is still a pandemic going on people) and the formal area looked very, very, very white as in white table clothes everywhere. As we sat, the first thing I noticed was that the tables and chairs were extremely cheap-almost wobbly...there is nothing quaint or ironic about this...the fake wicker design on the tables was an odd choice. Drinks were excellent...I ordered a classic dirty martini (on the rocks w/ bleu cheese stuffed olives) and my wife ordered an "Right Side of the Tracks" (vodka w/ muddled lemon)...both tasted great, but were horribly presented...why make a great tasting cocktail and then make it look like a 5-year old did it? My wife had originally wanted to order a mojito, but they had run out of mint....I know, right?! Before dinner service even really starts. Also, the server never came over to our table to see if we would like seconds on the drinks--a big restaurant no-no...as we started our entre, that's when we asked if we could order some more drinks...my wife ordered a riesling and I had a margarita (not good!-poorly presented and tasted way too sweet) We ordered a mix of apps...Eggplant meatballs, Bavarian Pretzel and Chicken Wings (Spicy Parmesan)...the eggplant meatballs (wow 3!) tasted like nothing, that's the only way I can describe them...I could taste the marinara and ricotta that came with them but if you ask me, they tasted like a nothing paste...the Chicken Wings were absolutely excellent--really tasty and juicy...the Bavarian Pretzel is probably better than anything the Village Lantern offers...they need to improve the cheese sauce, which looks very artificial, and maybe use more of a queso with green chiles, but the pretzel overall is great. My wife had a house salad and I had a wedge salad...both were delicious and more than satisfying...I totally recommend the wedge salad...it's the perfect combination of crunch, bleu cheese and bacon...I wanted to stay away from anything too greasy and heavy As a whole, would I go back...eh, maybe....it's a little pricey for what it is...I kind of thought gastropubs, as a culinary novelty, were on the wane, but Belfast still has plenty of time to develop a consistency to satisfy all of its patrons, not just big parties One last piece of advice: DON'T CHARGE YOUR CUSTOMERS AN EXTRA $2 FOR SALT ON THEIR MARGARITA! When your customers are paying $118 for a night out during tough times, don't charge them two dollars for no reason. Thanks. read more

Beer was great service very good. The food was okay the Buffalo chicken wings at MILD. WERE hot and not chrispy as I requested the potato skins stuffed with brisket was good. The Shepherds pie was lacking authenticity. The loaded potato soup needed more bacon maybe cream or cheese. Really wanted Guinness stew but the don't have it Bathrooms clean Outside section is nice but a little too noisy with the traffic and trains. read more

First visit to the new Belfast. Overall, no complaints. Service was friendly and the food (fish and chips and Shepard's pie) was fine. These are two Irish pub specialties so more was expected than "fine". One thing that was odd was the bar bill. A Jameson's on the rocks was charged on two lines. $7 for the whiskey and $2.50 for the rocks. Now, $9.50 is very reasonable. I was "bugged" to pay $2.50 for an ice cube. Silly but it did bother me.
