My opinion changed dramatically in a short amount of time. I leased my previous car through Bell Ford a few years ago and they gave me a good deal. Their service department has also been very good whenever I've dealt with them. Fast forward to my lease ending this year. I went in a few months in advance to explore my options. The same salesman that I leased from went over everything with me and gave me a price. I said I would call back when my lease was closer to expiring. Fast forward to now. I call-my salesman is away so they have me leave a message for someone else. I wait. And I call. And I wait. And I call. 14 times in seven days and no return calls. I finally speak to a manager. My salesman calls me back and says it's very difficult to get the car I want but he would look into it and call me back in a day or two. I wait. No return call. So I go to another dealership, which I won't name but you'll be able to easily figure out. The salesman says that it's no problem ordering the car I want. I put a down payment on the spot and before I even leave the dealership, he tells me that the car is ordered and will be there the next day. Here's the kicker: all things being totally equal, the second dealership takes 25% off my monthly payment. Needless to say, Bell Ford has lost a customer. read more

If I could give 0 I would. They completely lied twice about performing services they did not perform but charged me for. They claimed to replace my brakes and rotors in the rear and charged me for it. Its clearly listed on the receipt. I've driven my car 5 times since and my back brakes and rotors are grinding. I went there for a battery check years prior which they charged me for but never checked the battery like they said they did. My car stalled in their parking lot after they said my battery was good and even gave me a piece of paper showing all results were in green which meant they were 100% good. It was a lie because the next day I had to buy a battery from Autozone. Autozone helped not Ford in Colonia. Do not trust John. He is a snake and a liar. I now have to go and get my brakes and rotors done again and thinking about calling a lawyer after all of this. This isn't even half of the story. My other review told more. Do not waste your time with this service department. They are the worst in the region in my opinion. They are rude and unprofessional. They will stay with your car forever (they stayed with mine for 7 months) and dont even think about a courtesy car. They promise you things in writing and dont deliver. You get your car back with more issues because they did not properly care for it in their possession. I had a rain leak issue which cost about 1000 for a water specialist that they never resolved. They dont want to give me my refund and they dont want the car back. Good luck requesting a manager because no one will ever call you back no matter how many times you ask for a manager. YOU will always be the one calling for updates because they will not give you the courtesy to update you. My mistake is that i never complained even once during the 7 months, i was pretty understanding because of "covid" times but they took advantage of me and my patience and my pocket. They were just letting the clock run and wanting both the "repair warranty" and the time for a cardholder to dispute any charges with their credit card company expire. Take your car someplace else. Unless you like wasting money and your time. My company car had a new trasmission installed. 1 month to get it done, yes, 1 month. Drove it 5 miles and the transmission failed again. 5400$ transmission. So much for road testing, or quality parts. Again, another month for another transmission, on top of a new battery. Go to pick up the car, was told it was fixed and road tested. Key in the ignition, does not even click. Totally dead. With a " new " battery. So how did you road test it ? On total, 5400 $ for a shoddy rebuilt transmission that blew up with 5 miles. About 2800$ for car rentals. They provided nothing, nor offered too. 8200 $ for a car that still does not run. And for every thousand dollars all you are doing is the de pleading my payment by $16 to $25 plus every credit score there is to get a break down. I would still have a high payment. I have a price list break down that my monthly payment would be $595 a month. This dealership is horrible! If you bring your car there BEWARE! Their technicians are sub-par at best. Brought my car in for an airbag recall. While they had the vehicle they also did the fuel tank recall. I had no qualms with them taking the initiative to replace the tank but the fact that they left 2 screws completely missing, a line hanging, and scratched the paint off the new tank and didn't do any "rust prevention" makes me very, very frightened as to what kind of condition the other cars they've work on left the lot. Very very disappointed with the work going on at this dealership so beware and be ready to make some "touch-up repairs" on your own. read more

I have had several bad experiences with this dealership. Since Bell is my local Ford dealership, I have tried to use them for service, but even minor repairs take the entire day to be completed. Once a neighbor knocked off my sideview mirror, I came in and scheduled the appointment and told them twice while I was there that it was a side mirror with BLIS (blindspot indicator) and they still ordered the wrong part anyway. Had to take a second day off from work so they could get the right part and then install it. Another time, I called and tried to schedule an airbag replacement for a Ford manufacturer recall and get my backup sensor replaced at the same time. They quoted me a repair date six weeks away. Ridiculous. Every time I have called them for any kind of service -- even oil changes -- they've behaved like I am inconveniencing them by trying to give them my money. They will speak sarcastically when I am trying to schedule a date for service and they make no effort to earn my business in any way. It's the strangest experience I've ever had with a dealership. Their extremely poor service cost them a lot of money because I ended up buying a replacement car for my wife from a competitor's Ford dealership instead. I give this dealership a ZERO rating!!!! Lost power to the front wheels of my 2005 Ford Freestar on 11/5 while driving. Waited a week for an appointment. Brought my car in on 11/14. Received a call from service writer Mike on 11/16 telling me that their diagnostics showed that the problem with my car was due to the open recall on the torque convertor. Received another call the morning of 11/19 telling me that both of my front axles need to be replaced because they were destroyed due to the car being old and rusted and that it would cost me $650 and if I couldn't afford the work, they'd have to flatbed the car out. Went to dealership and asked to see axles. There was nothing wrong with the axles themselves and no rust. Found out that they were damaged because the tech galled the threads on BOTH front axles trying to forcefully remove the nuts. He claims he tried heating the nuts to expand them but there was no evidence of any heat having touched the nuts. Agreed to pay $150 toward the replacement of the axles. General manager Jack agreed to replace the axles for $150. Was told my car should be ready by 11/23. Was told when I called on 11/23 that they were waiting on a part for a second recall on the 3rd row seat latch and that my car should be ready by Monday 11/26. Called on 11/26 and was told that they are waiting on ANOTHER part for the latch on the 3rd row seating and that now the car should be ready by 11/29. I expected to get a call the morning of 11/29 telling me to pick up my car. I finally called THEM at 5:30pm only to be told that the mechanic cracked my oil pan while working on the vehicle and that now it should be ready by Monday 12/3. FINALLY got a call at 5:30pm on 12/3 that the car was ready to be picked up. They closed at 6! I went the morning of 11/4 to pick the car up. Was told by "acting service manager" Kerri that they can not give me a copy of the service record at that time because "it hadn't been approved by Ford yet! I called Ford myself and that was a lie! I went back and demanded a service record. Service record shows that they also broke and replaced the front pipe and power steering line in the course of Tech Rafael's work on my vehicle, which they NEVER ONCE mentioned to me! I never even got the car home before I got stuck with it again!....SAME PROBLEM! Lost power to front wheels! Called back! Kerri said they WILL NOT take my car back in and suggested that I flatbed it to another dealership in Springfield! General manager Jack told me today that Ford offered buybacks on Freestars and that I "should have googled it before I decided to buy the car"! Funny part is, the buybacks offered by Ford we're on the WINDSTAR....NOT the Freestar! Service manager Kerri told me that she AND the tech test drove my car before they called me to tell me that I could pick up my car. She admitted to hearing the car making noises during the test drive, yet she NEVER ONCE mentioned hearing these noises to me or ask me if the car was making these noises prior to me bringing the car in! She just completely ignored them in an effort to get me and my car out of there! General manager Jack told me that if I bring my car back, they WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT do any work on it unless I pay. If the problem is still a result of the recall, they are obligated to do the work without charging me, however, they refuse to take it! Jack told me that they did the work that Ford told them they had to do and he refused to try to investigate whether or not the problem is still due to the recall! They're pissed because they spent so much time and lost so much money on my vehicle but if the tech did not break several things in the course of his work, they would not have! Not my problem! That's on them! This dealership is an absolute JOKE!!!! I have registered a complaint with Ford's executive offices and will be registering a complaint with the NHTSA tomorrow since the recall was not repaired properly! They allowed me to leave with a potentially unsafe vehicle! Now, after three weeks worth of repairs, I am STILL left without a car and will now be forced to flatbed it to YET ANOTHER Ford dealership to diagnose the vehicle! My advice: RUN FAR FAR AWAY!!!! I wish I had checked on Yelp before bringing my son's vehicle in for service. We went in for an issue with the back-up camera and the window lowering button. Now it's 20 days later, the car is in pieces in their shop and they have no idea what's wrong with it. It's now making a rattling noise when it's started up. There was no rattle when we brought in it. The service manager agrees that there's a noise, but has no idea what is causing it. They've had the car twenty days, tell us they can't give us a loaner, they don't know what's wrong with it, they don't know how long it will take to fix. Stay away!! Had a wonderful experience dealing with Pierre. We had just left Dana Ford where my son was trying to purchase a Ford Explorer. They were so rude and dismissive. We were not in the best of moods walking into Bell but then we met Pierre. He was kind, courteous and extremely informative. He not only got us the car for the price we wanted but we were able to drive it off the lot same day. They have a large inventory unlike Dana Ford that only looks as if they have a large inventory. They treated us like family. The Manager and all of the staff were just amazing. Our family now has a new dealership!! My sister bought a BRAND NEW 2019 Ford Escape and within 1 WEEK the engine blew, ok shit happens car was replaced with another BRAND NEW 2019 Ford Escape. She has had nothing but issues with the new vehicle and Ford CAN NOT figure out the issue nor have they made this experience convenient for her. She has had her car in their shop SEVERAL times since October and they can not figure out why her trunk won't close. She has provided them with videos of what happens and still - the "mechanics" can not figure out the issue. Not once did they offer her a loaner/courtesy car until the last time she had her car there and that was only because she demanded it. She has more patience than I - I would have had a loaner car every damn time!!! I refuse to be inconvenienced because your "trained professional mechanics" can't figure out the issue with my BRAND NEW car - SMH!!! She has had to loose time from work, figure out rides here and there and they don't give a damn!!!! The last time she had her car there AGAIN they couldn't figure out the issue so told her to come back another time NOW they're telling her they can't do anything for her because her buy back from the Ford corporate was denied due to her warranty expiring. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE OCTOBER!!! Her warranty was VALID when this all began and even though it may have expired NOW almost 6 MONTHS LATER they're refusing to do anything for her except look at it. Look at it?! They've been looking at the freaking car since October- and can't figure shit out!!! What a joke!!! Is that what they do to their customers?!? String them along for months until their warranty expires then tell them they can't do shit for them but look at it LOL for the 732nd time? This seems very shady to me. I had gotten my headlight control module replaced from this location around the new year. This past Saturday my head lights stopped working again as I was driving on route 80 in the middle of the night. I called and spoke with somebody at the desk this morning explain my situation that my lights no longer work and I'm 99% sure that what they replaced went bad again. I was told that I would have to pay $130 diagnostic charge. That's a little hard to understand number one! when you guys are the ones that replaced what is no longer working again. Just goes to show that this location is out for the money. I will no longer be a customer of this location and will definitely not consider purchasing my new car in this coming year I will definitely go to another Ford dealership. They do not communicate with me, I have to consistently call, only to be told that my car will be ready in 2 days. They say this every time I call. The Asst. Manager tells me one story and the service Associate tells me something different. They inflated the costs over the phone but when asked to submit an itemized invoice to my insurance company, the price mysteriously changed. They have also been giving my insurance company the run around. They promised to put me in a rental and when I inquired again, no one seemed to be able to make this happen. They are underhanded, poor communicators and lack customer service skills. Rather than admit that they do not know how to repair my vehicle, they'd prefer to give me the run around. The staff is very unorganized and unprofessional. The managers were very rude and had no sense of courtesy or respect for their customers. Everything was word of mouth, they didn't give us a proper invoice that listed what we were paying for. We had a pay-off on our trade in and our sales representative apparently forgot we told him that. After we signed all the paperwork to buy the new car I ask about the pay-off and they said they never had that in their system. At that last moment they decided that if we wanted the payoff we would have a higher payment. And then on the other hand when I asked where they adjusted the supposed $3500 extra and they didn't have an explanation. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RELIABILITY! My parents bought a new car there about three years ago and have had nothing but problems since. They have been in and out of the service center for the past 3 years. Their 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid would constantly stall (several times in the middle of the highway!) and computer system in general keeps failing. The electronic system turns itself on and off when it pleases. It will blast the air and turn on the seat warmers and won't shut off. When they brought the car back to the dealership they REFUSE to work on the car. Parts of the car are under the 3 year waranty and other parts are under the 8 year waranty. They are refusing to work on it because they know that the car is a hazard and most likely cannot be fixed. So unreliable. read more

Purchase two new vehicles from Bell Ford (my local dealer) and when my Fusion Hybrid gas engine started to run rough and the check engine light started to flash I checked the owner's manual and it stated to not drive the vehicle because the catalytic converter may overheat. I called Bell service and was told the next date available for an appointment was in 11 days, I told them this is not acceptable, and they did not care. I asked for a loaner car and was told none were available. I called DCH Ford in Eatontown and they said I could bring it in the next day for service.
