I had some ideas for a dress but didn't. She was able to work her magic and find the perfect dresses for me. She picked a dress that I fell in love with! People are right, you will fall in love with a dress you didn't think you would like. Depending on the dress you purchase, you can customize it as well! One of the perks of Silhouette Bridal is that they have in hour seamstress! You don't have to worry about it getting dirty or damaged for places that don't have in house seamstress. I'm not going to name the person who helped me because she was actually very sweet and tried her best to be a hype person and also a listener. However, she made me promises about how the dress could be altered. Pinned and shoved things around to something very close to my perfect dress and said we could make this happen for you. She recommended a seamstress who could "do it all" only for me to buy the dress, sign the contract, and drive to that very seamstress and be told that she couldn't do half the things promised and that no one could. The seamstress was extremely negative and charged me too much for her work. It was sub par. Very disappointing experience as I spent over $1,000 for dress that wasn't what I wanted. No refunds, only exchanges.... Problem is, if there was something I wanted that it could be exchanged for... I would've gotten it in the first place. After everything was said and done, I had a dress that was 75% what I wanted. Not a great way to run a business.... Brides spend so much money for their vision, don't sell an idea. Especially if you're not sure if it is actually possible just to make a sale.

They also let me pick a handful of dresses off the racks as backups. I tried on the one they shipped for me, and I loved it. Four stars -- all thanks to the alterations department!…read more My experience started off pretty rough. On day one, I walked into the store not realizing an appointment was required just to browse and try on wedding dresses. The front-end staff spoke to me in a way that felt dismissive and unwelcoming. Eventually, they reluctantly allowed me to look around, and shortly after, someone approached me saying she had two new employees who could assist me if I picked out dresses myself -- which felt more like a favor than customer service. That said, the two new employees were wonderful and made the experience better. Soon after, I was reassigned to Marshal, whose energy was great (if a bit overwhelming at times). The very first dress I tried on was the one -- I absolutely loved it -- but I continued trying on a few others just to be sure. At one point, Marshal brought out an "as-is" dress that didn't impress me on the hanger, but I gave it a chance. It was beautiful and fit well, just not my style. When I expressed what I didn't like, I was reassured that alterations could fix those issues. Feeling confident in that promise, I chose that dress. Unfortunately, during my first alterations appointment, I found out those promised changes weren't realistic. That was incredibly disappointing. Thankfully, Debra and Christina from the alterations department stepped in and truly saved the experience. They listened, reassured me, and helped me revisit the very first dress I had fallen in love with -- the one I only passed on because of those earlier promises. I left that appointment feeling both deflated and hopeful -- and I'm happy to say they made everything right. Debra and Christina worked together seamlessly, bouncing ideas off each other and making me feel completely taken care of. Because of them, I was able to exchange the problematic "as-is" dress for the one I originally loved. If I ever need alterations again, I will absolutely return to Debra and Christina. They turned a frustrating situation into a wonderful experience, and I'm so grateful for their care and expertise. Thank you both for truly making it right! Edit Addition: Although the price was astronomical, it was well worth it for the beautiful dress and the exceptional alterations department. A photo will also be shared after the wedding.
