Hands down, I ate the best mussels at Bella Notte last week-end! These mollusks were fat and tasty, simmered in a classic garlic and wine broth. I had almost given up hope on this bivalve but Bella Notte redemed my faith in them. Kudos! For dinner I choose linguini and white clam sauce. Although it was very good, I would have preferred a bit more salt and spice in the sauce. Regardless, I enjoyed it tremendously! My partner ordered the chicken parmigiano with a side of pasta. His dish was outstanding! Let's talk about the the ambience. This place has "it" all. The vibe is modern and hip with a touch of class and refinement. Our party of four walked into this new restaurant at 1830 on a Saturday night without a reservation. Because it was early, we were seated immediately. In mere minutes, the place was packedI I almost wished that we had the opportunity to hang out at the bar because it is a beautiful, roomy area just yearning for people to linger over a nice A'bruzzo. Came here on 2/13. $45 for destroyed lamp chops. Yikes. These are TriBeCa prices for quality and overhead that is not TriBeCa. Go to Carvalhos if you want lamb chops done right locally, at a fraction of the cost. Laughable. Also, please change the name of the pasta special with lobster sauce to the pasta with lobster shell sauce with some shrimp. There was no lobster. I guess they didn't necessarily say there was, so it's my fault. It's all in the wording. And there is flavor in the shell - but some actual lobster would have been nice. Waitress was completely overwhelmed. Did her best, and we would have been fine if we were in a diner. Not spending $45 on disintegrated lamb chops and bullshit lobster sauce coupled with amateur service. Again, not a bad person, just not meant for this price point. The older gentlemen that walked around to check on things was great, seemed like a sincere fella, but unfortunately he hasn't informed his valet team or customers that Arby Court is not their parking lot. Saw a drunk guy this evening stumbling from BN as we walked home from the train. I didn't move from Queens to deal with this shit. He then walked around his own car a few times for whatever reason. Didn't have a chance to stop him from driving. Next time it gets recorded and sent to the local precinct. If you're charging $45 for lamb chops in Wantagh, you can afford to get yourself some more parking. read more

Went for the first time last week. Had the mussles for an app they were good, i prefer smaller sized ones but they were good anyway. For dinner i had the cappolini with seafood, it was excellent, wife had the sh arregnata, shrimp were huge and cooked perfect, sauce was good. My son had penna and a meatball. Meatball was very good, tomato sauce was burnt, it happens. I ran places like this for 20 years. Owner or manager, (i think owner) was nice, greeted us when we came in and when we left. We will be back. Went back a second time, had the ch sorintino wife had the salmon special. Both were excellent and the portions were huge. Couldn't finish it had to take it home. Great Italian food. I make the trip from Queens to Wantagh when I'm craving some chicken parm, because this place makes it on point, every time, all the time. My parents love the chicken scarparella, pasta with garlic and oil never skimps on the garlic. Huge chunks and lots of them! Freshly baked warm bread, and a glass of red to top it off. Went here for the first time last night. Don't know why I waited so long. The food was delicious. Split the artichoke and Cesar salad for an appetizer. The taste was incredible. Had the chicken sorrentino for dinner. Another big hit. The friends i came with had the lamb chops and Shrimp dishes. They were raving about how good it was. The portions are generous. I can't say I have any arguments with the food. But one of the reasons we picked Bella Notte for a family meal was the $$ rating on yelp. Entrees ranged from $19.95 (eggplant parm) to $44.95 (daily special, maybe lamb?). Many entrees in the $29.95 - $39.95 range. I thought I was seeing things as to me, that is NOT $$. I have been wanting to eat here for a long time. Our dining out became minimal due to Covid concerns. I finally got there tonight and it was definitely worth the wait. We decided to have my mother-in-law's 90th birthday celebration at Bella Notte. We had her 89th there the year prior and did it again this year. Overall positive experience! The owner, Donna, was very welcoming as soon as we approached the outdoor dining area. The service was fast, but we did not feel rushed at all. My sister and I ordered chicken fettuccini Alfredo and linguini with garlic and oil and broccoli. These dishes were absolutely delicious! Truly truly enjoy this place. Food is consistently good. Great family place and beautiful dining area. The host and staff are extremely friendly. The stuffed artichoke, baked clams or fried calamari with abbriata sauce are great starters. The broiled veal chop is delicious or if they have it the seafood fra diablo special is awesome:) Very accommodating if you want to substitute. Parking is a pain but some nights they have valet. My brother and I had dinner at Bella Notte in Bellmore on Sunday, 2/21 for the first time. All I can say is this restaurant is a gem! We were greeted warmly and seated promptly (we had a reservation for 7:00, but arrived early). Our server was so nice! We ordered drinks and he asked us if we were over 21! That made my week (I'm 70 and my brother is 67), and I told him so! It was the start of a wonderful experience. From the cocktails, to the appetizer (sumptuous breaded shrimp), to our entrees (I had rigatoni pasta with the most fabulous, big, hearty meatballs I've ever tasted and my brother had Fettucine pasta with meat sauce that he loved), everything was absolutely excellent. The bus staff was also great! And for dessert, we shared the most heavenly Napolean ever! And to top it all off, my chocolate martini was superb! Love this place and will definitely be back. Zero stars if it were an option! My husband and I visited 2 weeks ago to celebrate our 18 year anniversary. We were super excited for a beautiful night out, as you can imagine. To start off, Valet parking was a mess, not very organized and extremely rushed. We waited almost 2 hours to be seated. The atmosphere was too noisy and overcrowded. Pretty much seems like a hangout spot for the snobby, egotistic, pretentious, flashy, flamboyant crowd. Our table had some crumbs and a weird smell. Cranky waitress was extremely rude and unpleasant, not very welcoming or attentive at all. The baked clams were so chewy and sandy! The veal was tough and overcooked, could've used more seasoning --it was just too bland! I was really looking forward to the shrimp Wendy which happened to be a huge disappointment also. Towards the end of the night, my husband and I got the worse diarrhea of our lives. For 2 weeks straight! I think the health inspector should pay a visit to this establishment ASAP! This place is top notch. Our dinner experience yesterday evening was terrific. We had a reservation for inside seating. Showed up, and were seated immediately. The owner, manager and wait staff all wanted to make sure we were happy. Their attention to the Covid guidelines is a model for how other places should be run. The food was fantastic. I had the veal Milanese and my wife had the veal siciliano. Every thing was cooked to perfection and delicious. They have a very nice wine by the glass menu and their prices for both food and wine are excellent. Our meal was finished off with some delicious biscotti, on the house. Stuffed artichoke although delicious still had the inedible choke in it which we had to eat around. Dessert though was amazing. The food here was amazing. Fried calamari was on point. The hot sauce on the side was great. The chicken Marsala was incredible and the side of penne ala vodka was enough for its own meal which was also amazing. The bartenders (Joey and Margherite) were on point and made amazing drinks. We've been wanting to come here for awhile and we finally made it in for dinner and were glad we did. We will definitely be coming back. Went in on a Thursday evening. 7PM. Place was about half full. Greeted at the door by the host (owner?). Very pleasant. Sat immediately. Room was not loud at all. Decor was interesiting, with artwork of actors from classic mafia movies (Goodfellas, The Godfather). I was with my wife, my daughter and one of my daughter's friends. My daughter and friend shared the Penne ala Vodka (prepared vegetarian). My wife had the caesar's salad and the chicken parm. Salad was a little fishier than she likes, but ok. Chicken parm was very good. I had the chicken francaise, which was very good as well. Service was excellent. Very attentive. They even split the salad to two plates when my wife mentioned that my daughter was going to be having some. Reasonalby priced for quality and service. Would defitenly go back. read more

We tried to get into Bella Notte on a weekend night a few months ago but it was too crowded, so we just returned on a Tuesday night. So happy we came back! The room is beautifully decorated with hip modern art of Italian movie stars. The owner greeted us in a friendly manner even though we were newcomers, and our waitress Robin was fantastic throughout. First we split the Burrata appetizer. The cheese was obviously straight from the buffalo, nestled on a bed of fresh arugala and red pepper. Scrumptious. For entrees my hubbie had the pasta frutte de mare which he loved, especially the huge mussels. I splurged on the veal chop with chestnut sauce special, delicious and a tremendous portion. Tartuffo and Italian cheesecake desserts were delish. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity we enjoyed. Plenty to take home and we are big eaters. First off the owner teddy, he really is an awesome guy. The first time me and my boyfriend went here, we got the soft shell crab with spinach as the appetizer and it was just amazing. The baked clams were also absolutely delicious. I had one of the specials as my main course which was the lamb chops over a bed of spinach with penne alla vodka an also it was our anniversary so he gave us a trey of deserts with some coffee!! My husband and I went for dinner at 9:00 pm Thursday night and were happy we finally tried this place. Baked clams appetizer was delicious. I ordered shrimp scampi and sautéed vegetables it was delicious. The portion of vegetables was large... Not so big for the shrimp count. Flavor was great! My husband got the chicken over spinach in a red cream assume and he really enjoyed it! Service was really good. Dinner for 2 with bottled water was $90. I went there tonight with my fiancé we live down the block and been wanting to try It out. If i could give It no stars i probably would. I always always have a glass of wine with my dinner but i did not really see anything that intrigued me and i was not looking to spend $15 on a glass of wine. That's fine i don't have to drink i thought. A man took our order and came back with our sodas and we never saw him again. We had no server. Once the hostess and another waitress came by but even if i wanted a drink i probably couldn't have gotten one at this point. Anyway we get our food and It starts off good after a few bites we look at each other because we are both thinking the same thing. I used to think people exaggerated when they said this and maybe some do but It literally seemed like someone knocked an entire salt shaker into our food. Never in my life !! And i LOVE salt i put It on everything but this was not edible. It was DISGUSTING and now we can't stop drinking water. I ate as much as i could which wasn't much because the more bites i took the more inedible it became. Eventually i got up and asked for the check.
