Disappointed. What a waste of my time and money. Typically, a manicure includes a hand and arm massage. Nope. Just an application of lotion. It was the fastest manicure in my life. My cuticles weren't cut nor my hangnail. For pedicure, while using pumice stone, gal repeatedly used it on my arch. That is the most ticklish area and there is no callous there. I objected numerous times, she just laughed, others who understood that I didn't like it, told her something in Vietnamese, but she continued. Again. No massage was included for feet nor legs. I came into the shop good natured and happy but left so, so disappointed. I told the gal when I paid. I left feeling so let down. Getting a mani/pedi is a treat for me. I did not enjoy myself. I asked them NOT to cut my cuticles and they did when I wasn't looking. One area that had bled in the salon became horribly infected and painful on a cruise ship in Greece a few days later. I had to tend to it myself because they wanted $800 for me to see a doctor on the ship. read more

From the moment my pedicure began, the experience was alarming. As the technician began removing my gel polish, she immediately slipped and nicked my skin, then casually asked if it was okay. Unfortunately, this wasn't an isolated incident--she continued to nick me three more times on the same foot. At that point, I became genuinely concerned about her ability to handle the electric file safely. After the gel removal, she asked if I wanted my nails shorter. I said yes--very short. Instead of confirming the length, she proceeded to cut every nail down excessively, past the free edge and into the nail beds. When she finally showed me the result, I could see red marks and burns from the electric file and my nail beds exposed--clearly too short and very painful. I politely asked for a different technician, but the manager said she'd simply have the same tech file them. I explained the nails were already cut too short and that filing would cause more pain. The manager defensively said, "You asked for them short." I replied, "Yes, but not into my nail beds." I again asked to just have the remaining gel removed so I could leave. The technician reluctantly complied. When I got up to pay, I asked what I owed, and she said "nothing." I then asked if the technician was licensed, and the manager became visibly defensive, snapping, "Of course she's licensed, why are you asking?!" I calmly explained that cutting into my nail beds multiple times and burning my skin was not acceptable. I left feeling upset, in pain, and shocked at how the entire situation was handled. Living within walking distance from this place, I was excited to come here. Staff is nice, but there's a language barrier. The only person who understands English well is the owner. I'd explain to her what I want (nothing complicated, just short & nicely shaped nails) and ask her to tell the tech for me. The owner just doesn't really care and makes no effort to communicate customer needs to her techs. Every mani and pedi I've gotten here was not quality work. The gel polish on my hands always chips in one day. Prices aren't cheap, but the work quality is very poor. For pedis,, the techs don't understand or lack skillset to do a quality job. read more

I went to Bella Paris Nails and Spa for a quick nail color change. I did not need a full manicure, just a gel color change for my fingernails. I arrived at 11am but they were booked and asked that i come at 12pm. I returned at noon and had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seen. The staff was cordial, the facility was decent, and they have a great color selection. When I went to pay for my services, I was shocked that the price was $34. I usually pay $35 for a full gel manicure set at my usual salon!! This was $34 just to change gel color. I do not normally pay extra for sparkles or nail art stickers too. I supplied my own gold flakes and applying is extremely easy, so was more then surprised they changed an additional $7 for this services. Guess I should stick with my east county / El Cajon salons, versus Little Italy It's a little too pricy for such minimal service, in my opinion. read more

This nail salon was hands down the worst place I've ever gotten my nails done at. The nail tech did not listen to how I requested my shape and continued to adjust the shape to her liking. When first trimming the nails for length I went with a medium length not too long but definitely not short. She kept having to trim the nails down because she cut my left hand too short so then she would have to retrim the right hand. Which wasn't too big of a deal but I ended up with short nails. I like my nail shape to be boxy and square and they are more round at the tips. Ontop of it all the paint job looks like I've had the nails for at least a week and came out crooked. (See picture for reference) I'm not local but when I come back to San Diego I will be sure to steer clear of this place if I'm looking for good quality nails. Highly don't recommend!
