    Chicken escarole soup
    Kristen S.

We live in the area and finally found the time to visit this neighborhood restaurant. We were welcomed and seated quickly, given menus and told about the specials. I ordered the chicken escarole soup and the Pollo Francese with a side of veggies. My meal was tasty, the staff was friendly, and the it was a very affordable.

Ordered delivery and the order was prompt and correct. The portions were big and that was great considering the price. Food was cooked very well but could have used more seasoning. I'd definitely order again and even go in person but will be needing some seasonings.

I got take out food here for the first time. I've been wanting to try the restaurant for a long time. I had the chicken Parmigian and angel hair pasta with a salad and garlic bread. The chicken was really tender and cooked perfectly. I liked the breading on the chicken and the sauce and pasta too. The portions were large and I couldn't finish all of it at one sitting. I also like that it was a good value because for 17.99 I got chicken parm and pasta with a salad. The packaging was also very well done. Ill be back and be bringing others with me in the future. Recommended.

First time trying Bella Pasta and we will definitely return! Once seated our waitress introduced herself and took our drink order. She brought us sliced bread with oil. I would have loved it warm. It would have brought out its true flavor. Maybe it will be next time. Two of us ordered the Veal Parmigiana with Angel hair pasta and garden salads. The generous portions of veal were very tender. So tender, we could cut them with a fork!! Most important to me was the sauce (true gravy). It was delicious!! My other friend ordered Angel hair pasta with a meatball and sausage. He enjoyed it. The waitress was pleasant. The service was good. It was a relaxed atmosphere. And it was causal dress code.

The host seemed surprised to see us despite being right on time for our reservation but we were seated right away after a quick exchange. Our server Erik came right over with a smile and continued to be a consummate professional throughout the evening. I wish I could have him be my server everywhere I go. We started the night with some seasonal cocktails. The spiced pear old fashioned was to die for. Complete with a solitary large cube and balanced flavors it was delicious. Our table had veal parm, linguine and white clam, and lasagna. Each dish was fresh and executed perfectly. It's a garlic lovers paradise but never overpowering, in a way any Nonna would approve. For dessert we split a slice of limoncello cake. The cake was so light and fluffy it was like eating air. Even the frosting was light enough where it didn't feel like we were stuffing ourselves to finish it. It's a smaller place so it gets busy quickly and can be a little loud. I would highly recommended a reservation as I don't think you'd have much luck getting a table on a weekend. There was a bar area with some seats but it's probably not easy to get a seat there either. As the old adage goes, if a restaurant is full all the time there's a good reason why ;)

They also offer a pasta bar (in Nov 2024), choose your pasta, toppings, & sauce, prepared fresh to order. The bar offers bottle beers, wine, cocktails, and espresso drinks. I stopped by GEODONO for dinner very recently, just after the 5pm opening time. I found a seat at the bar and was promptly given a menu and a glass of ice water. There was classic Italian music playing over the speaker. For this posting, I chose three items including the Alfredo ($11 plus tax), Tortellini in Brodo ($12 plus tax) and Scallops ($16 plus tax). I was also given chewy Italian bread slices and butter. The Alfredo in a bowl had soft linguine, rich creamy parmigiano alfredo sauce, broccoli, & black pepper. The Tortellini dish (bowl) had three hand made jumbo pasta pockets filled with ricotta in a parmigiano chicken broth & olive oil. The Scallops (small plate) had pieces of charred cauliflower, seared scallops, red wine cabbage, roasted maitakes, eggplant and roasted horseradish cream, guaniciale. They also had a couple desserts to offer including an apple crisp with ice cream, but I had enough to eat. The check with Toast QR code was presented, which was $41.73 with tax and before tip. I was able to pay online. The friendly staff chatted a bit about restaurant offerings in the area and requested feedback. I really enjoyed the food here and the Italian tapas concept. They are still evolving and I would highly recommend to try out GEODONO, which offers the ability to enjoy several dishes in one dining visit.

When you sit down, you have the option to order from any of their menus (from different cuisine types), but we decided to go with Pasta/Italian/Pizza which is Double Zero's speciality. To start off, we got their meatballs. These were solid, the tomato sauce was delicious! I wish the meatball itself had more of a crispy/crunchy outer layer. It was a bit too soft/mushy for my liking. You could definitely tell it was plant-based as well (which is fine, just not my preference!). We got their Cacio e Pepe and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. I was a big fan of the Garlic Bread Twist! I could honestly eat this by itself. The Garlic Bread wasn't overwhelming the Rigatoni it was paired with but very flavorful. The Rigatoni was okay to me, it wasn't the usual Rigatoni pasta shape and I thought it could've had stronger flavors/seasoning. I really enjoyed their Cacio e Pepe, the cashew cream sauce was very tasty and highlighted the black pepper and cheese flavors. At first I wasn't a fan of it. After a few bites, it grew on me! Service was solid, our waitress was friendly and we got our food quick. I can see this as a great spot for people with dietary restrictions or just a cute date spot as well.
