"Green" restaurant with healthy options at moderate prices. We are always willing to try new restaurants that market themselves as healthy. While bellagreen does offer healthy menu items, they divide their focus across several areas including water conservation, alternative power, chemical & pollution reduction, sustainable food practices, and sustainable furnishings & building materials. These are noble goals, to be sure, but if one is concerned solely with the food, one may be disappointed to see very few organic ingredients on the menu. At a macro level the dishes are healthy, but my personal preference when selecting a restaurant for a health-concise meal is for that establishment to offer organic options along with grass-fed options for beef and wild-caught options for fish. Across the entire bellagreen menu, the only organic ingredient I was able to find was quinoa. No grass-fed or wild-caught options were available for the meats. We ordered the Broccoli & Smoked Gouda Soup, Spicy Avo Shrimp Pasta, and two house sodas. The soup was mediocre, which was surprising given the ingredients (how can melted smoked gouda not be good?). The pasta was excellent with perfectly balanced citrus and savory flavors, however the menu states "all pastas are garnished with microgreens," which turned out to be nothing more than a single sprig of cilantro. Bit underwhelming. The house sodas were also delicious. Overall, I would give bellagreen another try but it will never be a top contender in the health-concise restaurant category, in my book. *UPDATE* Increasing rating from 3 to 4 stars, per comment from bellagreen (see below): I appreciate the response from Kristina. My apologies for missing the organic options you mentioned. It is great to know that bellagreen offers these. Additionally, I would encourage bellagreen to proudly call out the organic ingredients it uses, where applicable, on the menu. For instance, in the Salad section of the menu, none of the options mention any organic produce. Additionally, under both the Handheld and Burger sections, no mention of sprouted bread could be found. That's great information for a customer to have. I am familiar with 44 Farms and while they are certainly better than many, the beef is still grain finished (as you stated). While 100% grass-fed beef is potentially more expensive, I felt that it was noteworthy to mention in the review. read more

Stumbled by by accident and boy did it make my day!!! I grew up in California most of my life and crave more salad joints that are amazing. This place is more than salads, they have a variety of food on menu, even a dessert area and a side seasonal menu! Hubby had the honey goat cheese salad and I had the seasonal quinoa w pomegranate salad with blackened tofu. The goat cheese salad was sooo good! The goat cheese wasn't too strong! Loved my quinoa and pomegranate salad. It had a strawberryish dressing; piled high with pistachios and arugula! The had it with the blackened tofu (sooo good!). This is a seasonal dish. I've also tried another seasonal salad, the berry salad. Very much like the quinoa and pomegranate salad but with strawberries and black berries! Same dressing. Phenomenal!!!! My friend came for the curry chicken salad and she was amazed at how delicious it was (she's not a big salad person)! We visited Bellagreen on their 3rd day open to the public and enjoyed it! You're immediately greeted and given an explanation of how to order (you order then sit and the food is brought to you). We ordered the minestrone soup, tomato soup and the white chicken Parmesan. The soups were amazing.... very flavorful and perfect on a cool day. However, the white chicken Parmesan was waayyyyyy too salty. The pasta component was good but the chicken itself was so salty from the seasoning, we couldn't finish it. Hoping this was just a fluke because I want to order it again. Overall, good little spot and we'll be back to try their amazing looking desserts! read more

Bellagreen definitely wowed us! The environment is minimalistic yet cozy, spacious yet intimate, and the staff were helpful and calm despite the hordes of customers descending from every direction. We ordered the: Organic Spinach Dip: HUGE serving of artichoke and spinach dip accompanied by 6 or 7 slices of flatbread. Creamy and flavorful. Hi-Protein Hempanadas: WINNER. These were absolutely delicious! Stuffed with raisins and ground beef, they were even better when smothered with the cilantro sauce. Turkey Lettuce Wraps: Not going to lie -- I whimpered after my first juice-dripping bite. I'd recommend going at these with a fork as they're absolutely loaded, but good thing they are because you're going to want as much of the filling as possible. Ground turkey, shredded carrots, corn, beans, and peppers; it's fresh, hot, and strangely enough, very light. Paleo Spaghetti Squash Bolognese: Perfect flavor blend, and the spaghetti squash was at just the right texture. Spicy Avo Shrimp: Unfortunately, this and the next dish were not as mind-blowing as hoped. While the presentation of this pasta was beautiful, the vegetable noodles were undercooked, and the entire dish tasted more lemon-sour than anything else. One redeeming factor: the shrimp were perfectly cooked. Grilled Salmon Pasta: Again, the presentation was lovely, but I took one bite of the salmon and had to stop. The dish was VERY salty. Not salty in a rich manner. Just... "tablespoons of salt" kind of salt. Gluten-Free Carrot Cake: So good. Light, round in flavor, and perfectly paired with the cream cheese frosting! Would definitely eat it again! Domino Cake: This was also delicious; the cream in the middle was a perfect off-set to the richness of the ganache. Overall, I'd love to come to bellagreen again, and I'm hoping our disappointing Spicy Avo Shrimp and Grilled Salmon Pasta were aberrations from the rest of the menu, or, even better yet, the only imperfect versions of those dishes ever served. read more

The crust on the pizza was good, but there was way too much going on with the pizza. I wanted to try something new and it sounded like it might suprise me, but I wouldn't recommend. The cheese falls right off in one piece and there's too much sweetness from hella use of the jam. I freakin love pizza, but I left almost half my pizza before I gave up eating the rest, even though it was a waste of money. The pasta had barely any sausage and the sauce was watery? It slipped right off the pasta and had light nacho cheese flavor. I don't know about the other pastas, but I'm pretty sure the other pizzas would've tasted great since it was basic flavors like Magherita! The manager came up to us asking if we knew we had to order at the counter. (We had sat down) We had seen the qr menu signs at the front and sat down to look at the menu. Theres also a sign up front to order at the counter that we saw. We just didnt want to stand up front where everyone enters in to look at a menu. It was fine, just felt awkward as hell. Later when we were done and a server had taken our plates, we were looking on our phones to see how to get to the mall from there. It had been like five minutes and we still had the glasses on the table. TWO servers one after the other placed napkins and silverware on our table bc they thought we hadn't ate yet. It's nice, but weird for 2 reasons. One, as an ex server, the restaraunt barely had people in it so the servers should have been communicating better and known what table had eaten/not. Two, one of the servers had been eating and was seated near the ordering counter when we went to order. I saw him look at us both times we passed his table, so he def should have known we had got our food already. These incidents by the servers felt like they were rushing us out after eating when it was just a couple of minutes after someone came to take our plates. This service part isn't part of my rating bc they could be incidents. I do want the bellagreen bosses to see this, so they can help their team get better. Rating is for the price for pretty crappy food. Overall, wouldn't come again, but if you go, DO NOT get what we did. read more

I had brunch here today for the first time and really enjoyed it! I sat outside with my dog and was instantly greeted by my server Chris. I believe you typically have to order inside but he was super friendly and helpful to take my order and bring my pup a bowl of water. I ordered a veggie green egg omelette with a side of hash browns and it was delicious. I did mentioned I'm a vegetarian and it came out with 3 slices of bacon but my pup thoroughly enjoyed. The house made tortillas just seemed like an egg wrap that fell apart. The kale was mostly stems. One of the tortillas barely even had salmon it. Aside from the food my friend that I was dining with received her meal 10+ minutes before I did. It was much busier going on a Friday so maybe the staff just hasn't been able to get up to speed yet. Bellagreen is a new addition to The Hill development in Dallas, and it is definitely worth a visit. The design combines many elements to create a clever open but intimate dining experience. Natural light floods the space, and lends a very warm feeling. The menu has great variety, with many interesting items. I chose the Hand-Pulled Chicken Tacos, which are gluten-free dish. Consisting of roasted all-natural zaatar-crusted chicken topped with sautéed red onions, yellow & red peppers, avocado, queso fresco, cilantro and spicy peach chipotle sauce on warm corn tortillas. Offering "normal" healthy food, this place serves up a tasty, fast-casual dining experience. Normal food in this plaza! Finally!!!! All the not crunchy people know what I'm talking about... I just want some tasty, "regular" food that I can pronounce and a real Dr. pepper, not pure sugar Dr. pepino, quinoa infused ice cubes, and an endive and air medley. A much more elegant atmosphere than the other fast casual spots in the plaza, they have more to offer than just a convenient walk from the super chargers. The finishes are high end, the feel is very chic but it's still comfortable. You won't look or feel out of place in your Uggs or your sport coat. The food is real, it's fast and it's really tasty. I used to love this place, the first year or two it was open we went there a lot. They've always had friendly service and as far as I know they still do. I have enjoyed their little patio area when the weather is nice. Inside is also fine, kind of in-between a restaurant and a nicer fast food place. The stars are knocked down because the food, at least what I usually like to order, just isn't what it used to be. I love, love, loved the tender chicken breast with a double side of supposedly roasted veggies. But the last 3 times I ordered it was a disappointment. The chicken wasn't the hot crispy outside, tender juicy inside that I expected. The size was also smaller than previously and it was not cooked any better than I could do in my air fryer. But what really got me is raw veggies still partially frozen, or at least super cold. The next time I ordered I requested the veggies to be "well done". Nope, same flavorless, crunchy raw veggies. Don't get me wrong, I don't want mush by any means, but I don't want raw either. Also, the prices are super high for what you get. And when we've gotten take out it has been smaller portions at the same price. Take all this with a grain of salt because I can't speak on the rest of the menu since I'm not big on carbs. It just seems to me chicken and veg should be an easy win. Kind of sad, seems like places open up and do their best to build a clientele then start taking it for granted. read more

Ordered from this restaurant for the first time yesterday and I absolutely loved it! I have celiac and this place is truly a haven for us gluten-free folks. My favorite item I ordered was the empanadas. I haven't been able to find empanadas since my diagnosis, and WOW were these tasty. The dipping sauces (esp the cilantro one) were an amazing complement, as well. I ordered the chicken strips and sweet potato fries off the kids menu and they were perfectly crunchy and delicious. I haven't had breaded and fried chicken strips in forever and they exceeded expectations. Lastly, I had the carrot cake for dessert and it was moist and delicious. Carrot cake is my favorite type of cake, so I was thrilled to see it on the menu. The only thing I wish is that they had a few more gf dessert options. LOVE IT! This place is super cute and would be great for brunch. We missed brunch by 30 minutes, but would love to try next time I'm in town. My cousin comes here often for lunch, but this was my first time trying. I loved that they had dairy-free options on the menu. We had the hummus to start and then I had the A Burger dairy-free with the side Caesar salad. The burger could've used more seasoning, or at least salt, though it was good. The Caesar was different, with its caramelized red onions on top. Very good. Also at the table was a pepperoni pizza, the fig & pig pizza, kid's Alfredo with fries, and a gluten free El Jefe pizza. Neat little place. Service started out crappy.. walking in is an area where a host would seat by you along with menus and what not so my family stood for almost 10 minutes. It was awkward as employee Edna causally looked up at us every few minutes when I would make eye contact she would look away quickly. Eventually I became tired of waiting and approached her. When I walked up she looked around as if she was wondering who I was about to talk to. I suggest to the business maybe having someone more approachable as i had to be encouraged by my family to stay here instead of leaving. On to the drinks. They have an interesting selection of fountain drinks they are very sweet and unique I really enjoyed this. I actually filled my cup up just a little bit a few times so I could taste all of them. The only name brand I saw was Dr Pepper. Onto the food everything came out looking amazing it was all hot. I've got to say the chicken Parmesan was extremely bland. The chicken tasted pretty good however the noodles and sauce had a little to no life. For the price of $54.00 we could have got all of this at Chili's for around $35.00 I believe the majority of the score of this review had to do with the person I dealt with upon coming here and it may have not given the menu a fair chance. read more
