This was my first time at this location. Although parking isn't easy, it wasn't easy at the sugar land location either so that's not a factor in my review. I guess because it was more of an expectation. I got the norm (I tend to stick with what I know) which is the spinach salad with blackened salmon. Delicious! I took my fiend and it was her first time there. She had the same salad with blackened chicken. She loved it! She instantly checked to see if there was a location in her city (there wasn't). Bellagreen has become our favorite restaurant when we visit from Michigan. This weekend we catered a reception for our daughter's grad school recital at the University of Houston. Piper in the catering department was absolutely wonderful! She was very accommodating, had great suggestions, and the food was wonderful (and even offered to deliver it to campus)! We appreciate all of the gluten-free options as well! I can't say enough about how wonderful this restaurant is. We have always enjoyed going to the West Alabama location and couldn't be happier with the food and service. There are so many healthy options and a great variety! Great location, so glad they reopened here. The quinoa mac & cheese is delicious as are their salads. You cannot go wrong. They have great vegetarian options as well as gluten free options. They also have some delicious desserts including Creme Brulee - the best. The restaurant itself can get a little noisy and parking sometimes is hard to find in the garage. Other than that this is a great "healthier" option for dinner out. read more

So glad they're back. Truly aggravating that the phone isn't working especially as I made the drive hoping they offered the lamb burger at this location. Grrrrr. No phone, no lamb burger, nothing but an apology. That's nice, but a discount or sweet offer would have been even more nice when the place is just opening and looks undiscovered judging by the emptiness - only three tables and 3 at the bar. My go-to restaurant in Houston. Fish tacos are amazing and salads are huge! My favorite part is that they put a little card on each dish that says the plate was made gluten-free, something that just helps put my mind at ease while eating out. Please note that my review is based on this specific experience. Ruggles has always shown excellent service with great quality food. I Favored Ruggles today. I work most nights and decided to have lunch here at home in pajamas. I ordered the Cheese Steak Flatbread, specially cause it had a demiglaze and pepperoncini peppers.With that I ordered the Spinach and artichoke dip. I was very upset when I opened my box. The trip took no longer than 10 minutes and my bread arrived soggy and lacking crispiness. The dip had great taste but texture was upsetting, it looked like it was not even blended and just a bunch of ingredients tossed in a skillet. Come on Ruggles, I am sure that we can perfect that recipe a little more. My panini was also soggy and it was missing the demi glaze and i discovered a single and small pepperoncini. If you are labeling and ingredient, assure that it is given credit in the meal and not a simple garnish. I am sure that there can be something to perfect the traveling of these meals. On top of all this, no ketchup for my fries. That's simply common sense. Thankfully I have some at home but never assume the guest will have any. I am very disappointed but I know this is not a common mistake. I will return to Ruggles with hope of improvement. read more

This is by far my favorite of the Ruggles Green locations, which is unfortunate because we live close to the Woodlands location. My favorite dish is an off the menu dish - the local veggie plate. I was disappointed that they've recently changed it up. Although I must say that I enjoyed it the new way I really missed the way they used to prepare it with the kale and quinoa. The carrot cake is my favorite in town and they always have an excellent selection of herbal teas that I enjoy. This location has a nice vibe and friendly service. read more

I brought a group of students for a late (around 2:30) lunch, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The menu was very diverse so we all found something we liked. Everyone ordered something different, and we all loved our dishes. One vegetarian accidentally ordered a dish that had ham, and they fixed it for her. I love this restaurant and their fries are some of the best, but am sad that when I inquired about their shrimp tacos they told me their shrimp is farm raised. Ugh! Seriously, Ruggles Green? We only live 50 miles from the Gulf. With a restaurant that has the name Green in it, I'd expect more from you. And please don't try to convince us that they are "sustainable farms". It's just a cheap way to make more margins on your food. Also, can you put some towels in the bathrooms. Air dryers are a breeding ground for germs. They just fly germs around the bathroom because no one washes their hands correctly. Also, the soap in the bathroom is gross. Please use a closed system and do not pour new soap on top of contaminated old soap. The restrooms do appear clean, however and your employees are very friendly. I came and ordered a kids cheeseburger to go meal to go for my son after eating at the restaurant next door and at the point of sale the person who took my order said "wow you got a god deal" which seemed odd? Furthermore, when I asked for the cup for his kids meal the person at the register who seemed to be some type of manager refused to give it to me and rudely said "we don't give cups to adults who order kids meals?" Wow, I thought how rude and presumptuous! Would he have done the same thing if I'd called over the phone? Even after I reiterated the purpose for my purchase, which is something I should not have had to do...no cup. Which seems like a small thing I know. So because I wanted my son to have s drink with his meal I paid an additional $2.50. I'm so glad the Sugarland location, which is where I normally go always goes above and beyond to provide great service to me, my friends, and family. This Alabama location however just lost a customer that would have been a regular when I'm in that area. I wish there was a way for me to give them NO STARS!!! read more
