Visiting from the west coast and this is now my favorite Italian restaurant in Philly! The balsamic vinaigrette is so good. I couldn't stop eating it on the bread with olive oil. Lychee martini was also so good and the pasta dish I had was amazing! Definitely happy I made the choice to try this place out.

We came here for a girls dinner and everything was delicious! They have things from pasta, to seafood, salads and more! Their pasta is homemade and made daily! Our waiter, Mike, offered great recommendations and the rest of the staff was very prompt! This was a great place for a weeknight girls hang!

Found this gem on Yelp. It was about a 5 min walk from our hotel and I'm really glad we ended up here. It's a small restaurant definitely felt more intimate "candle" lite table was very welcoming. We were greeted right away and sat as soon as we walked it. Everything from the drinks to the main dishes were delicious.! We never get dessert but we just had to try the gelato. Amazing as well! If we're ever back in Philly we will be back.

We had a great time celebrating our anniversary! Food came very quickly with prompt service. Our fried gnocchi appetizer was absolutely incredible and the main dishes were delicious too. Appreciated that they went out of their way to help us celebrate!

Delicious meal and fantastic service. Our waiter Michael asked right away about dietary restrictions and was very knowledgeable about gluten free options. I had the Pollo Bellini (pan-seared chicken breast fillet, topped with spinach and crabmeat in a light lemon chardonnay sauce.) He said they use rice flour so the dish is naturally GF. There was a $10 charge for their GF pasta, which is rigatoni imported from Italy. (All regular pasta is made in house by an Italian chef.) I also had the homemade Crème Brûlée, the custard was so creamy with a crisp caramelized sugar crust (clearly labeled GF.) My non-GF friends also loved their meals (chicken parm and the pasta special.) I would definitely recommend checking this place out.

I went for happy hour with an old friend of mine. We are both fans of italian food and this did not disappoint. Everything was so tasty and it was prepared efficiently. The Gnocchi ricotta, insalata caesar, meatballs, and drinks were especially good. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was just phenomenal, he was so attentive and even joined in conversations which was so fun. I had a really great experience here, and the prices were perfect. I will definitely be coming back here for a date night.

Really enjoyed the meal, service was excellent. Veal Parm - awesome, veal saltimbocca - awesome. Escargot - cooked perfectly but the polenta was quite dry, our only complaint. Our friends had the Tortelloni and Mediterranean Chicken. The house made pasta was also excellent, not sure what the picky Yelpers are griping about. Found this place on Opentable and if we would have checked Yelp, we would have missed out on a wonderful meal.

Meatballs

This was the one place I was told I couldn't miss by a lifelong Philly native and he wasn't wrong!! I got the chicken parm with vodka sauce and it was AMAZING!!! Ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and they were incredible! I wish I had gotten the chicken parm with the marinara sauce because that's what was on the meatballs, and it wasn't your typical marinara sauce. It was even better. I loved the vodka sauce on it though!!! Server was wonderful. Bellini was delicious!!! Loved the inside and decor.

It's a pretty average Italian spot. The complimentary bread was really dry and crumbly. The calamari had good seasoning but was a bit too oily and the breading turned out soggy. The bruschetta had a nice crunch to the bread, but the cheese on top was dry, tough, and lacked flavor. I had the Fettuccine al Ragu di Anatra--the sauce was tasty, though I was expecting shredded duck instead of ground. The pasta didn't hold together well and felt almost like it was gluten-free. Overall, the food was mediocre and not really worth the price, but the staff was friendly and the space was clean and spacious.

What a great find in Center City. Bellini invites you in with warmth and the smell of mom's kitchen. Charming and intimate. The staff is outstanding and attentive, yet not overbearing. The cuisine was excellent and generous. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a great dining experience.

Squid ink pasta brought the umami to the table. Cocktails a bit watered down. Stick to wine. Expected the Fried eggplant parmigiana to be like the chicken cutlet but is more of a lasagna style so disappointing. Menu states chef can make anything to your liking. Asked for no cheese on fried eggplant and told no can do. Had Chicken cutlet envy as viewed from adjoining table guests - that looks like a must try. If only Bellini made me friend eggplant no cheese - it could have been a more positive experience. Great service. Lady's enjoyed their bday dessert.

Does not list happy hour at bar only.

I came here yesterday for happy hour but was told it's only available at the bar. I have kids so of course I wouldn't and couldn't sit at the bar. Almost every place that has happy hour at the bar only lists it on their menu. I highly recommend updating the menu. The hosts were nice but said it's not legal to sit down in the dinning area and do happy hour in Philly which is not true at all. I've been to plenty of restaurants that offer sit down dinning happy hour. Also it took us over 30 mins mins to find parking. So come early or find a garage near by. We ended up leaving so I can't rate how the food was.

Does this establishment sell bacon cause I'm Muslim and was wondering if there is turkey bacon instead?

My family and I got breakfast at Enswell during our stay in Philadelphia. This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

The crab fries and garlic bread are no skips. I hope to come back to try more food! We were lucky to get a table, the hostess was really nice and even found us outside to let us know we could make it! It does get really busy so I felt a bit rushed out but it was all good.
