I wanted to sit down to do some work. You cannot use the wifi despite the sign on the door that says free wifi. The only person there, who I assume was the owner had earbuds in when I asked for the password. The owner was extremely rude and yelled at me to get out when I said the sign was misleading. I recently went to Bellmont Caffe just a few days ago. It's located right next to Bank of America in Belmont Center. It was my first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Don't let the small interior fool you because the food is full of flavor. I was full of joy as I was devouring my Banana and Nutella Crêpe clean. Not only was the food delicious but the aura was warm and welcoming. With good music choices and a very friendly staff, I highly recommend this little hidden treasure. read more

Just stopped in for a morning coffee. What a terrible first impression of their customer service. I simply asked if they had a brewed flavored coffee. Maybe not the hippest, most sophisticated request (and they certainly had plenty of flavored syrups which I dont like) however the rude response I got "we don't do dunkin donuts style" was uncalled for. The person who took my order was rude and ignorant when I mentioned an issue with my order. This comfortable, quaint cafe is back in action under enthusiastic and welcoming new ownership. I used to come here regularly, then stopped, because even though I liked the menu, the service became gradually slower and, frankly, less friendly under the previous ownership. I was thrilled to hear that it had been revitalized, and confirmed it for myself by planting myself for lunch and a work session on my laptop. I was greeted by the gregarious and genuine owner, Rachid, who has the place bustling again. My favorite item remains the lentil soup and there's a nice selection of salads (okay, I'm trying to be healthy, but I assume the crepes and waffles are the bigger attractions... and Rachid mentioned he's added smoothies). Laid back for meeting up with friends and quiet enough to get work done. Belmont Center needs a cafe just like this, and I'd encourage everyone to come here and support it. read more

Pretty decent grub. Yummy coffee, they serve Illy coffee/espresso. They do a good dirty chai ( chai latte w/ espresso). The cinnamon bun is basically a cinnamon sugar croissant in the shape of a cinnamon bun. Not what I wanted, but still good. They do bake their own goods, so doen't let the Starbucks looking cold case throw you off. Montreal bagels are good and light. Ham and cheese is where its at. read more

On a rainy Sunday I decided to go out and support a local cafe and work as I own my own small business and like to support other small businesses. The crepe was good, the experience was not. After hearing the owner belittle one of his workers I was slightly troubled but then I was asked to leave because I'd been sitting at the table for more than an hour. The owner came to my table and said "Hey I'm going to need this table, it's a one hour limit and I've got to make money". During our visit another couple came in and left because the prices weren't on the menu. The "Free WiFi" that is advertised on the door is apparently not free/available on the weekends. I know running a business means making money but this owner clearly puts making money above experience and his customers (based on our experience and observations). Won't be returning to support this business and will tell anyone to steer clear. read more

You know what got me to come in? The sign out front saying they have Montreal bagels. You don't know what a joy that is. I've been there twice, once to devour my bagel and another to have a cappuccino and read a book. It's a very nice cafe with pretty tables and good lighting. I'd like to try their sandwiches because they look yummy. There's only one thing that makes me give it four stars rather than five and that's the music. Today it was a blaring radio station playing bad music. I could barely concentrate on my reading. Some quieter, more interesting music would really improve the atmosphere. read more
