Beltway Home Inspections was very responsive, especially considering how "hot" the housing market is right now and how inspectors are mostly booked. The first time I called, I missed them and got the voicemail. I called about half an hour later and was able to get in contact. Greg was very thorough in his inspection of the house, and took his time to make sure that everything was inspected with care. He was very patient and took me around the house to explain basic things I would need to know--shut off for water in the front and back, the life of the furnace, etc.--as well as things to watch out for (that were then explained in greater detail in the inspection report). In the future, if any inspection needs come up, I will absolutely ask Greg if he will be my home inspector again! read more

My wife and I recently purchased our first home. We selected Beltway Home Inspections to complete our home inspection. We were very fortunate to have such an excellent company perform the inspection. Because Beltway Home Inspections was so thorough, knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and honest, the process of purchasing our first home was made much easier. Dennis, the inspector, informed us of any issues and problems that he found in the house in a very thorough and detailed inspection report with detailed photos that he sent to us the next day. This, as well as his detailed explanations allowed us to understand issues that needed immediate repair/attention and those that may need attention in the near future. Dennis also explained terminology used in the report and also helped us to understand working systems in our home and parts of systems that we were not familiar with. He was also able to photograph the roof of our home, which was not easily accessible for us to view. Because of his inspection, we were able to make a list of things in need of immediate repair and attention. We presented the list to the previous owners, and were able to have these items repaired before our closing date. Also, after the repairs, Beltway Home Inspections returned for a post-inspection to determine if the repairs were completed properly. A post-inspection report was generated, and photographs taken, so that we could compare the condition of the items that were repaired to their pre-inspection condition. Scheduling these inspections through our agent and the agent of the previous owners could have been challenging; however Beltway Home Inspections was extremely flexible and accommodated us on short notice.
