I have always loved big gold hoop earrings of all types. I was in search of 60mm that didn't break the bank. I had searched online and stopped in at Macy's and Kay in the Stonebriar mall. Macy's, even on sale were ridiculously pricey. Kay didn't have any that large. I was unfamiliar with Benchmark Jewelers and almost didn't stop in but I figured, what the heck. Although none were on display, the gentleman, Mak said he had a catalog where they could special order. The initially quoted price for 60mm endless hoops was a bit more than I was allowing myself to spend and I was about to say thanks but no thanks. Mak then sweetened the deal. I went for it and crossed my fingers since I was buying sight unseen. The earrings came in on day three. They look great but are extremely thin...probably the thinest hoops I have ever owned. They are beautiful but I'm hoping they are more durable than they look because I want to be comfortable wearing them freely without worry. Fingers crossed and just to be on the safe side I decided to go for the third party insurance to protect my investment. Based on this experience I would recommend Benchmark Jeweler's and plan to go back for a nice gold bangle bracelet. read more

Not to be confused with Stenchmark Jewelry which goes under your arms if you have sweat stains, and covers them. Ew. Expensive but enjoyable jewelry store inside the massive Stonebriar Mall right across from KFT. We went inside almost every store in this mall and this was one of her favourites. She said that if she was going to buy jewelry from anywhere in this mall, she'd skip the big chains and get it from here. Even though it's expensive she found several things that she liked, and the people working here we're really nice. Unfortunately I do not recommend this jeweler. My husband bought me a very expensive ring from here (10k+) and the diamonds keep falling out. I have had the ring ~3 years and have had to send it in at least 4 times because the diamonds keep falling out. Sales Manager(Will) admitted it was a defective band but the manufacturer refused to replace it. When we send it in to get repaired my ring is gone for 2-3 months at a time so it has barely gotten any wear. We took it in two weeks ago, again, because a diamond fell out and they basically told us to go pound sand. That they wouldn't fix it and make it right and that it would cost us $150 for them to even look at it. Doesn't include the repairs. I understand warranty but if your product is falling apart within 3 months of purchasing it and you continue to have the same issues, it doesn't sit right from me. We will no longer do business with them and will discourage any others as well especially if you are looking for wedding, engagement, and/or upgrades. read more

We told him what we were looking for and what we had already seen. He seemed very knowledgeable and his years of experience were apparent. The choices were both in genuine diamonds and lab created diamonds. We found something close to what we wanted and decided to make a custom order. Will gave us his cell number and kept in touch during the whole process. He responded very quickly when I asked for an update. He sent us a video mock-up of the design and we approved for them to move forward. It took a little over 4 weeks to get the rings and we absolutely love them! Beware! Terrible place. Dishonest and scammers. Someone going by the name AJ tricked me into buying $1800 diamond earrings by offering me 5 x $100 gift cards (totaling $500) as incentive which he promised I could use just like cash towards any merchandise in any benchmark location in the dfw area. After asking him three times, he confirmed that gift cards can be used for anything (regular and discounted prices). When trying to purchase a watch the next day from a different benchmark location in Arlington, the sales person at that store told me I cannot apply the gift cards towards purchasing a watch. After calling back the Frisco branch and requesting to speak with AJ, he pretended not to have said such thing. After a back and forth discussion over the phone, I decided to return the earrings as I was obviously tricked and scammed. AJ then refused to accept the return. Luckily the gentleman from the Arlington location worked with me and managed to return the earrings and refund my monies. This is shady and terrible business practice. I don't recommend buying anything from this store as you might fall into the same trap!!! I would leave zero stars for this location if possible. read more

This place is fantastic! I would recommend Benchmark Jewelers as the first stop for anybody, whether they know exactly what they want or if they need some help figuring out what to get. Here's why: I didn't know a thing about rings and my head was already starting to hurt trying to study up on all the different C's and what they mean. My girlfriend was the one who went to this place first and came back saying they were really helpful. She said that there were so many different options that Benchmark offered to help with, from height of the diamond on the setting to different engravings to styles and colors, and probably a lot of other things that I didn't quite understand. When I went to Benchmark myself a few days later, I knew a few specific things that I knew my girlfriend wanted. The biggest thing was that she wanted a rose gold setting. She kept saying she would probably be okay with silver or yellow gold too, but I could tell her heart was really set on rose gold. Her grandmother already told me that she had a diamond she wanted my girlfriend to have, so all I had to do was find the rose gold setting. When I walked in, Genie immediately asked if she could help and I told her what I was looking for. She knew exactly what they offered, and knew that there weren't any rose gold options in the store. She immediately made a few calls to see if they could get a rose gold setting shipped over for me. After she did everything she could, I was crestfallen to find out that they weren't able to find anything. Enter Bill. Bill was helping Genie with the phone calls, and then said that they could make a custom one with rose gold since there weren't any finished ones available even from other wholesalers. All he needed was the diamond to take the exact measurements, ordered the parts, and now my girl will get to have the ring she really wanted, all at a great price! The other selections and prices in the store are also fantastic and affordable, and there's a huge variety that offers something for everybody looking. Genie and Bill's attention to detail helped me to really trust Benchmark. They were so helpful and made me feel super comfortable and relaxed, which was big for me since I knew very little about rings at all. Again, I would recommend Benchmark Jewelers as the first stop for anybody, whether they know exactly what they want or if they need some help figuring out what to get. read more

But I wanted something thin, shiny but small, and not crazy expensive. Benchmark was the only place where I was welcomed by someone around my age (late twenties), who straight away tried to match a ring to me and my style, and not the other way around. Hannah is so amazing, she wasn't pushy, gave her honest opinion, and was very accommodating. We found the perfect ring but didn't like the wedding band it came with, and Hannah and another employee helped us find something that was more my style.
