As a true Gen X'er in desperate need of a serious skin detox since the '90s, discovering Haven Room…read moreSpa and Wellness has been a game changer. Back in the day, TikTok didn't guide us on skincare; it was 16 magazine convincing us that a baby oil tan was the ultimate beauty secret. Fast forward to today, and my skin situation isn't exactly stellar. Botox has been a friend, but facials seemed inconvenient amidst the chaos of parenting--until Haven Room Spa opened down the street. The moment you step into this spa, the high-end, relaxing, and modern vibe sweeps you away. Korinna, the owner, is the epitome of walking advertisement with her ridiculously gorgeous skin. I essentially walked in saying, "I want what you get." Elizabeth, the aesthetic magician, gave me a HydraFacial, and it was a sublime. A HydraFacial is a multi-step facial treatment that works wonders. Elizabeth meticulously explained each product, its purpose, and how it would benefit my skin. The results are mind-blowing--my skin is literally glowing. I never knew what "plumped up" meant until now, and my face feels rejuvenated in a way I didn't think possible without a time machine. Seriously, the results of the HydraFacial at Haven Room are more impressive and noticeable than Botox when it comes to looking and feeling younger. We're incredibly fortunate to have such a cool, hip, and high-end spa right in our neighborhood. Thank you, Haven Room, for making skincare a delightful experience!

The staffs/owners are super friendly and accommodating. They were able to provide my requested service (facial) with another staff when the intended staff was sick. In addition, the facial was amazing and would highly recommend to give them a try.

After starting the basic pedicures that we asked for, they proceeded to recommend a more expensive pedicure. We agreed to that. However, when it came time to paint our nails, they asked if we wanted gel, even though we had already picked out our colors. They did not inform us that it would be $17 per person to get gel. Even though my daughter asked the woman if it would be extra and she said no. We were upset upon leaving because we were charged $51 more than we expected. We did not feel that it was clearly communicated that the gel was an up charge. We asked to speak to a manager and they told us the manager was not there. The people working there also tried to blame it on us that we should have asked. We will not be devoting our time or our money to this place because of our experience.

On more than one occasion she was pulling hairs without giving me the handle device (I thought she was using the foot paddle), of course, I had to pay for those sessions. After consulting with other electrologists, it appears she had me going too frequently, taking into consideration the phases of hair growth.  I regret going to her for so long, more so because of how toxic her demeanor is; truly one of the worst people I've met and allowed myself to know. Unfortunately after dishing out over $9,500 in sessions, I've learned what a detriment to associate with someone like her. It starts after she feels comfortable disclosing political views and proclaiming how much of a Donald Trump/Right-Wing politics, such as taking history out of schools. I felt so insulted when she continuously asks who I voted when elections occur, and had the nerve to ask of they asked for my Driver's License during the 2020 election after the results. Imagine how in awe I was when she talks so poorly about her daughter-in-law, I can't recall anything she's said about her son's wife or the son's mother-in-law. I'm certain that anything a client disclosed to Jodie, she's spilled the beans to other clients. On occasions, she will randomly suggest someone is gay or mention a client's race. If her LGBT/transgendered clients knew her true character and her views that a client had blisters on their chest, and felt they lied about having sun spots vs. Monkey Pox, prompting her to get tje Monkey Pox vaccine. She voices her false claims that the attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband was a hoax, and claims the "Democrats" sent white substance to Kari Lake (which turned out yo be unfounded that anything was ever sent). A client should not be subjected to hearing a worker's political views. Also, she's writing a book, so be very careful what you disclose to her. Narcissistic people do exists. She's always the victim in every situation when it comes to her son and daughter-in-law. There are better technicians out there. Be aware!!

The other negative reviews are exactly correct and exactly what to expect if you go to Bodyworks. Thousands of dollars wasted, painful hair plucking, and every once in a while an actual treated hair. After getting a second opinion my suspicions about Jodie's "treatments" were affirmed. Approximately 10% to 15% of the "treated" hair was actually treated, the rest just plucked. Save the money, save your time, and save yourself the wasted pain and go somewhere else.
