I did not know that Benihana has a happy hour but they do. The happy hour is legit. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday 4PM to 7PM and only at the bar and in the lounge. There are an assortment of appetizers, sushi rolls, and wings that are heavily discounted during happy hour. There are plenty of alcoholic drinks that are heavily discounted for happy hour. The service here is amazing. We had a wonderful waitress named Tamara. She knew the menu back and forth and kept us laughing the entire time. Her energy was contagious and made the dining experience memorable. The alcoholic punch bowls are meant for two people and they are large. The punch bowls taste amazing but they are sweeter than I expected and did not have much alcohol in them. The poke bowls are bigger than expected and quite tasty. Salads are decent. Soups are decent. I'm a celiac and need gluten free. They completely messed this up! Chef cooked gluten laced foods first and gave me a bad cross contamination with a contaminated grill and utensils. Who wouldn't enjoy watching their meal being prepped and cooked In front of them. This is one of my daughters favorite restaurants. They swear that this place has best fried rice and I can't or won't disagree. The servers are always attentive and helpful with the menu and the cooks are always so entertaining. My first experience with this establishment was in like 2006/2007 in California, and I remember my chef making a Mickey Mouse out of the rice and he made the mouth move . My recent visits the chefs made hearts out of the rice and would make the hearts beat /jump. Very neat!!! Not sure of how true this is but my last server mentioned that he preferred that we paid in cash because then he'd be able to keep what was given to him , and that if we paid a tip on our cards that majority of the tip would go to the chef , and I found that to be completely unfair . Especially with my knowledge and experience in the restaurant business and knowing that servers make a living off tips alone while being paid way under minimum wage hourly . We gathered at this location last weekend for an anniversary celebration & it was by far one of the worse service experiences I've EVER had. The portions were rationed out & for what you're paying it's not worth it. Our table combined ordered 10 chicken and rice with our meals. Well the cook only used TWO chicken strips for TEN bowls of rice. The waitress tried to rush us to pay & didn't even offer us dessert. I had to ask her what happened to them serving dessert then she took our order. Our party spent over $600 & we all were disappointed in the food, and service received.
