We made a reservation for 8:30 and they didn't seat us until 9:07. The food is great but service was awful. Not worth making a reservation if you aren't going to be seated in the first 10 minutes of arriving. read more

Not a good experience. We were seated at a table in the back and as we're walking to out table there were a couple portable air conditioners...not a good sign. It was hot and once the cooking started it got much warmer. It took almost an hour for out cook to show up. His prep cart was missing alot stuff and he kept need to return to the kitchen to get them. He was great and did the best he could with the terrible steak he had to work with. In this covid world we did share a table with another couple they were 2 chairs between but not close to being 6ft apart. At one point the husband took a pice of meat off his fork and put it back on the grill where all the food was cooking. A real jerk move and I hope he does not have covid. That was a 2nd time we should have walked out. But it was my wife's birthday so I just kept it too my self. I noted on the reservation that it was her birthday and told the waitress when we arrived. But after dinner taking 2 hours they must have forgotten, not one person told her happy birthday. Overall a very disappointing experience. read more

We went for a birthday to Benihana at the Shops of Legacy. We had our reservation and immediately sat at our table. Dress code is stated at the front door so we were dressed business casual. Please take notice that they do not enforce it so you can have a party at your table dressed any way they want. It made us feel uncomfortable and if I had known they didn't enforce the dress code we would have gone to a better place for this special celebration. The chef was super knowledgeable, fun and helpful. The salmon was good and so was the rest of the food. Great treat of taking a picture of our party at the end! read more

Happy Hour only review. The price was really good for such a nice restaurant. I had tuna sashimi, but i tried a few rolls from my friends plate. I dont think Im hooked on their sushi as it seems kinda plane. Plenty of other places to get your sushi fix. The staff was excellent and professional though, i'd have to commend them on that. It would be a nice place to bring a big group to enjoy some food but a reservation seems like a must for that place. read more

I went out with the girls for my birthday here for a little entertainment. I had sushi rolls and spicy chicken with fried rice. I only go to this type of places for a special event once in awhile with a big group of people. It was fun and i get to enjoy it with them. The sushi was OK, i had better quality than this. I like my spicy chicken and fried rice with veggies. The chef was very generous with our foods and entertaining. The atmosphere was nice. I will be back again with a group of people again. read more

Fried Rice ...That's the reason why I am here. Although the food is good and you basically come here for the experience of having the chef cook in front of you. The atmosphere is good ..,a great place for a celebrations. Customer service has always been great. Oh and MAKE A RESERVATION, if you don't have a reservation the wait can be more than an hour for a table. read more

This place seem to never get it right. Always something amiss OK. The bar workers are slow an unmotivated to serve drinks or do much other than clean glasses. we have ok time ok? but food just ok and drink not too hot. Went to the bar for happy hour and sushi, which, I would have never thought to get sushi at Benihana. But you definitely should - it's some of the best I've ever had. The happy hour prices are pretty phenomenal and going on a week night, there's not much of a crowd. I haven't had the hibachi experience at this one, but I have been to the other Benihana in Dallas and I'm definitely a fan of the restaurant chain in general. read more

Good happy hour specials. Sometimes there's a long wait so getting there during happy hour is a good idea anyway. The food is good, but I prefer Kobe Steaks in Addison if I want hibachi. read more

Delicious food, I've been here a few times before with family but most recently went on Valentine's day. My fiance and I enjoyed the meal as well as the show. I will say, and I blame this on going on Valentines day, but our table was NOT a fun environment. Some of the couples seemed annoyed that the chef was trying to engage him and, hello, that's his job. I wouldn't recommend going here if you like to just stare at your food and just eat vs talking to people around you, especially when its part of the experience. My steak and chicken were both juicy but I wish I'd ordered an additional side of the fried rice to take home ( I'd scarfed the whole side down before I got my real meal and would have like the extra with my doggy bag). read more

Came here for lunch on Christmas Day. We had reservations and were sat promptly. Our server was accommodating. Our chef was not very enthusiastic so I'll deduct one star. We had late reservations, 8:30 and ended up being seated at about 8:45. No big deal, we spent the time at the bar enjoying drinks and the delicious matcha tea. The bartender was very kind and the manager came to chat as well. We arrived at our table, ordered as usual and the soup came shortly after. Between the soul and the ginger salad there was a long delay if about 30 minutes. This is where it started getting odd, and if we weren't seated with other fun couples it probably wouldn't have been an enjoyable experience. We sat without a chef at the table for about an hour. Around 9:50 our chef finally arrived. We were the last table to be served and the last ones out. The food sufficed, the environment was nice but the tables were very cramped. We ended up having to sit with 9 adult people at the table. (Some larger than most) so I was stuck sitting on the corner/edge by the chef. We aren't complainers, so we made the best of the night and left with smiles on our faces. CONS: 9 large adults DO not fit at 1 table, 1 hr. between ordering and having a chef arrive is unacceptable PROS: GREAT conversation with strangers at the table, and the $30 off birthday special makes it worth the wait read more

This wasn't the best hibachi I've had considering Benihana's is suppose to be the cream of the crop. We made a reservation and still had to wait for seating, and the night we visited the AC was broken. It was a total nightmare! read more

The food was pretty good but very pricey for what you get. My only other complaint is the bathroom. It was very dirty and I told the host at the front. I went back with one of my kids about an hour later and it had not been cleaned. We were there at a very slow time so there was time and staff to clean it up. read more

Although the food is good the staff isn't so much. I ordered the Rocky's Choice which is a six course meal including a dessert. However, I was never served my dessert... C'mon now. If I'm paying Benihana prices I expect to receive everything I pay for. read more

The last star was because I feel guilty for giving anything less since I had a birthday coupon. The service was sub-par. We wait about 15 minutes for our chef to arrive. While we were waiting, the waitress came and refill my brother's Sprite with her water jug. The chef was good at the show and had cute jokes, but the food was under-seasoned, and the $35 surf and turf meal was light on the scallops. The entries were cooked in so many steps, that portions of my food were cold by the time the meal was cooked. We also never got the green tea that should have been served with the dinner. The did bring me a scoop of birthday ice-cream which was nice. Two people at out table were missing significant sections of their meal such as a lobster tail and a steak. They got their orders as the rest of us were having desert. Overall a "meh" experience. I would go back, my not on my dime. read more

You can't go wrong with Benihanas on a birthday. I went there last night with some friends and family for my 21st birthday. The food was as good as normal, but they didn't seat me for my 715 reservation until nearly 8. When I ordered my first legal drink, NO ONE CARDED ME, nor any of my friends. For my party of 9, by the end of the night with a horrible server who rarely showed, gave herself a 18% gradutity on her tip, instead of what is supposed to be a 15% for my amount of people. I love this place, but I doubt I'll come back again unless I'm paid for or have another certificate for my birthday. read more

Bartenders were great but poor guys were stuck with a bar filled with kids seated instead of the paying adults waiting outside the door. Even saw an elderly couple standing at the bar behind their teenage grandchildren seated drinking water. What happened to manners?? Good hibachi in Plano. The place is good, good too but a little bit expensive in overall. A nice experience. On Sundays it's almost empty for lunch, so take advantage. Also, it's a family friendly place. read more

We had the best chef... Sanchez. He did an amazing job. None of our seafood was overcooked and the steak was perfect. Even the fried rice wasn't too salty. The new Moscato white wine was wonderful... Not too dry and just a little sweet. Thanks for a wonderful dinner experience! read more

Every time I place a to go order the food is never ready when they say it will be. I ordered lunch today and my rice was wayyy over cooked and had no flavor. Not even the garlic butter helped. I called to get a refund due to my dissatisfaction but was placed on hold for over five minus while waiting to speak to a manager. read more

First time eating at this location. We ate on a Thursday around 2:30pm for lunch. Didn't take long at all to be seated. Servers were fast and friendly. Chef was very nice and polite. I ordered Seafood Diablo and my wife order chicken fried rice. Both were absolutely delicious. Would definitely eat here again. read more

I went there for a friends b-day and was not impressed. The hostesses gave us dirty looks and didn't even greet us. we had a reservation at 7, but waited till 730. I felt unwelcome from the second I walked through the door until we got to our table. The server was really funny however & I loved the "yum yum sauce". When my group left, no one said goodbye to us. i think the hostesses should have more training, maybe learn some manners. Overall, the only thing that was good was the food but not the environment itself. I work in the food industry and I expect more from a hibachi restaurant. read more

Went here for Valentine's Day - we were seated right on time, excellent service and the food was great - cooked to perfection. My only complaint - I felt "rushed" towards the end of our meal - to keep up with the others at our table. Everyone at our table was finished, leftovers packed up, and were paying their bills. I was just about finished when our ice cream dessert showed up. By the time I got to it, it was just about all melted. Not a great ending to an otherwise fun/fantastic dining experience. read more

Update: manager called me after the meal, apologized profusely, and offered us a complimentary dinner to make up for the tardiness. Food was amazing. Stopped in for lunch with some co-workers. I got the hibachi chicken and mushrooms. Came with fried rice and a salad. The chef cooking at our table was great. Fast and friendly service, and the food was great. I look forward to coming back. read more
