I have been looking for the TikTok viral sushi burrito. I didn't realize all I had to do was ask that my roll not be cut. I was so excited to find that this place makes deep fried sushi rolls. The customer service was lackluster but they did acknowledge me. The decor was nothing spectacular, just typical restaurant esthetic. The sushi and all of the sauces were good stuff. I could easily have finished off two of those rolls, it was that good. Might have been the tempura crawfish in it but it was warm and crunchy. I don't even like the mayo saucy thing on rolls but this was very good! The steak hibachi wasn't as stellar. We received white rice even though fried rice was requested. The steak itself lacked seasoning and even a generous dousing of soy sauce didn't give it enough flavor. The portion was enough for two people. I won't knock it completely, I'd still like to try the lobster and shrimp hibachi. Overall I am pleased with Boxo. It's location is ideal for quick carry out and a very short walking distance from the bring-your-own-food craft beer place! I'm looking forward to many more sushi nights! read more

I can see why this place has 3 stars...good, not great. We ordered a California roll and two orders of chicken hibachi. There was one other couple in the restaurant on a weeknight. You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The plates are a cheap plastic/melamine material and sauces are served in plastic cups with lids. The California roll is my husband and I's go-to for a starter, but this one had a fishier flavor than we are used to and we left some pieces behind. The hibachi came out shortly after and was piping hot, served with a crispy egg roll and two sauces in plastic cups..honey mustard and ginger. I was hoping for the traditional yum yum sauce and didn't care much for the two alternatives. I would have preferred more of the teriyaki style sauce that was drizzled over the chicken, but just used the soy sauce leftover from our sushi. My husband thought the ginger sauce worked well in the dish. The serving was a generous portion with a nice mix of chicken and veg and the fried rice was good, as well. I understand that the moment for small business owners is horrible, I feel it because I am also part, but that does not justify their service being rude, long waiting and disrespectful. We ordered 3 combo plates(chicken & shrimp) with fried rice, one veggie plate, side of noodles, and an order of crab ragoons. While there are plenty of places to compare Boxo to- and it isn't nearly as good as most of those places- I still give it a generous 3 stars. The location is in an awful spot, completely tucked away to where even if you know where it is, you still might miss your turn. Some kind of signage would be really helpful to increase business and help potential customers out. I went at lunchtime on a Sunday and there were no other customers in the restaurant until halfway through our meal when one other family showed up. I ordered the kids shrimp with fried rice and everything looked tasty but tasted extremely bland. It was cooked well but needed something...sauce, salt, anything! I literally tried three different sauce packets (soy, duck, Sriracha) and it still had 0 taste. The adult portion of chicken & shrimp with fried rice was a different story as it tasted pretty good and actually was sauced and seasoned. I had to combine some of the chicken with my meal just to add flavor. My friends and family that have been to Boxo say that they absolutely love it, so I might try it again someday. read more

First off - I would have given this restaurant 4 stars but the C food rating is questionable. My sushi was AWESOME and I can't wait to try more of the menu. My husband and son both had the beef hibachi and said it was good for the price. Portions were large and filling.
