    Steak and sweet potatoes
    Jeffrey S.

Service was amazing. Seating you with the rolls and butter is genius. The menu looks so inviting. We had very low expectations of the steak and were not disappointed. It was average at best. We wanted a baked potato, however we were told that it was slathered in bacon grease. Really!!!! How to ruin a guilty pleasure. So we settled on the sweet potato. Not a horrible second choice. It was covered in marshmallows. We are not running back

Sirloin family 4 pack with a house salad, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy & 12 rolls

Ordered the sirloin family 4 pack cooked medium. It came with 2 sides. We got green beans and mashed potatoes with cream gravy. You get 2 of each exceptonly 1 thing of gravy. Yes, they could've made the sides a bit bigger in my opinion. It comes with a very large house salad and 4 things of dressing. It also came with a dozen rolls but only 1 thing of the cinnamon butter. All in all this was an easy very quick walk up and pickup. Sevice with a smile. We were very happy with it & felt it was a great deal for $64.99 with tax. The steak was perfectly cooked. All of it was so tasty.

Always love Texas Roadhouse!! Our server was very friendly and quick. The rolls are so yummy, and the salad very fresh. They have the best grilled chicken, and steaks are always cooked perfectly. Great food at a good price point.

This is a great Texas Roadhouse location! I arrived around 6:30pm on a Saturday fully expecting an hour wait time. I checked in on the app and had a table within 15 minutes. Our server was very nice and attentive, bringing more bread and drinks before we had fully finished our current ones to ensure we were never empty. The food was super yummy. I got a medium rare 8oz sirloin and it was cooked perfectly. It's a busy location but despite the amount of people it's a nice place to grab dinner. I would definitely recommend this location!

Everything at this place is just perfect. The cesar salad and the Dallas fillet are my favorite. Also the pickles and the Rattlesnake bites and the tater-skins are a must. The ambience is so Texan.

Considering it's a Tuesday night, this place is packed!! You can't really go wrong with the arm sweet bread. Sorry no picture. It was devoured pretty quickly. The kids sliders are generous and so is the apple sauce. I got the beef kebab. The meet was marinated and tender. Not bad at all.

We sat on the patio, which is very well situated for the heat. We caught a beautiful sunset and the temps were pleasant. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower and it was perfect. I was afraid it was going to be too spicy for me and it wasn't! Great flavor and very well done. I had the chicken fried chicken with the jalapeño gravy on the side. The chicken was pounded thin, which was surprising. It still managed to be moist and had good spices. I ended up using more of the gravy due to the good taste. It came with mashed potatoes and I subbed out for mixed veggies. The veggies were crisp and fresh; better than I expected. We had the bread pudding and carrot cake for dessert. The bread pudding had buffalo trace whiskey instead of rum sauce. Everyone at our table agreed it was one of the best we'd had. The carrot cake was good but unremarkable. There was a musician playing, which contributed to the great atmosphere. This was a hit and we'll definitely be back!

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat with another couple who was in town for a wedding. We…read moreneeded a place that could satisfy a diner with a more "meat and potatoes" kind of palate, but that wouldn't break the bank. The two of these together really limit your options, but after finding The Rackhouse on a Yelp search, it seemed to tick all of the boxes. Traditional steakhouses were just too expensive, and "New American" places just didn't have enough of the familiar home cooked fare. Anyone who's spent much time in the Dallas/Ft Worth area recently knows how stiflingly hot it's been. But amazingly, our dinner here was on the first day with measurable rainfall in, well, forever or so it felt. And with it, the temperature came down, and then the hostess asked "would you like to sit on the patio?" We opted for that, and wow, what a treat! The space is expansive, with great seating and tables, misting fans (which weren't needed on this one day!) and "shade sails" (I had to look that up) to provide stylish cover from the overhead sun, but the best part of all, was a westerly facing view that brought us an absolutely stunning sunset (see my picture). Live music was provided by a really talented crooner with a guitar, belting out his versions of some great hits with feeling, and at a volume that still allowed conversation. A truly special setting. But what of the food? Once again, The Rackhouse delivered for everyone in our party. My wife and I opted for the buffalo cauliflower appetizer, little bite sized nuggets of battered joy that still had texture and firmness, but was well cooked and tasted great with the accompanying sauce. My entree was the grilled meatloaf, served with mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. I asked for the gravy on the side, and honestly, I preferred ketchup on the meat loaf (I am from south of the Mason Dixon line, after all), but the gravy was great with the potatoes. The meat loaf itself was well cooked yet still tender, and well seasoned. Two other diners chose the chicken fried chicken, and its presentation was a little polarizing. It's pounded VERY thin, offering a crispy bite that's easy to cut with a fork, and easy to dip into the creamy gravy. I personally loved it, but one diner was wishing for it to be a little thicker. Finally, the server was able to talk us into dessert, which for me and another of our party was the Buffalo Trace Bread Pudding, and - wow. Featuring a whisky based sauce in lieu of the usual rum based sauce, it had a fantastic, rich flavor that elevated the tender yet substantial breading - it was fantastic. If you're sweet on sweets, this one is a winner. This was truly a wonderful experience in every way, and we'll be going back when the weather gets a little cooler for more time on that knockout patio. You should try it, too!

By the time we reached our hotel, it was 9:00 p.m., and we were exhausted and hungry. We walked into Saltgrass around 9:05, just as they were closing. I asked, "Are you closed?" The manager said yes--but immediately invited us to have a seat. I tried to decline because I didn't want to keep anyone late, but she warmly insisted: "No, please. We want you here." I wish I could remember the manager's name because she was incredibly kind. She and the entire staff treated us like royalty. Our waitress, Stef, was an absolute sweetheart and took wonderful care of us. The food was amazing, but somehow the service was even better. If I hadn't known Saltgrass was a chain restaurant, I never would have guessed it. The warmth, care, and personal attention made it feel like a beloved local restaurant welcoming old friends. This was our first visit to a Saltgrass--and our first time in Dallas. We had been in Texas for less than an hour, and this wonderful team showed us that Texas hospitality is very real. He told us about things on the menu and the restaurant and the services they offer. He was a guide without ever being pushy, he was always there with whatever we needed but was never hovering. Nice kid! I rarely talk to the managers unless something is seriously wrong. In this case I called Tom over to compliment how great the place is. We told him it was our first time in and that the only reason we hadn't been in before was it looked a bit expensive. He did mention they just came up with pick-a-pair for lunch at $14.95. Normally this means skimpy half-portions of stuff but not here. I was in the mood for bacon so I went for the BLT Salad & BLT Sandwich. The dressing was made in house and wonderfully garlicky without being overpowering. The tomatoes were juicy and flavorful, the bread was grilled to perfection, and even the arugula was delicious (and I hate arugula/rocket). My wife got the club with fruit salad as her side. Ruben said they cut the fruit daily. My wife doesn't like strawberries nor pineapple so I got bonus fruit on my salad. She only at half because Firebirds has a crème brûlée cheesecake and we had to split that. While we were there, a nearby table was celebrating and a bunch of waitstaff came out with shakers and martini glasses and poured everyone drinks. Fun and classy at the same time. We joined the loyalty club. No having to check in nor track points, they just send you discounts and free stuff in your birthday. The Jr. Chef club members get a free TShirt, a sundae on your birthday, a kitchen grill tours-makes me wish I was 10.
