First time at a Benihana but not this style of food. I made a rsvp for two of us and we were seated right away. Another group joined us pretty quickly and the waitress took our orders. I tried the raspberry lemonade and was pleasantly surprised! Sometimes raspberry can taste fake but this was good without being too sweet. I went with the Benihana Trio and everything was cooked perfectly! The chef was very nice and a lot of fun! Not sure why ppl say the food is bland. I go here maybe 3-4 times a year. On 05/27/25 it was a slower night and our Chef Abram entertained the table with jokes and his Chef skills were above par. He was the best we have had in awhile. The rice was kind of hard and didn't have much soy sauce and butter like I've had at other hibachi places. The filet mignon was cooked the way I asked for it but also needed a touch more salt. I had a reservation scheduled for 5:45pm. I scheduled this reservation a week in advance. I arrived at this restaurant at 5:40. I was then told there would be at least an hour wait even with a reservation scheduled. This clearly demonstrates really poor customer service. Drinks are outrageously pricey!! You get one slice of diced zucchini and some sauteed onions as veggies. They even diced up the shrimp instead of giving me whole hibachi shrimp. Dinner and drinks cost a small fortune, and I can't even get a whole shrimp? Rice was over cooked and mush. I won't be back. read more

NOT good! The food didn't even deserve pictures taken of it. service and ambiance are always the same, but I was served the most overcooked, overpriced, and bland steak / shrimp i've ever had. I would have imagined that, for $120 out the door, at least they would serve deveined shrimp. the only flavor my shrimp had was aquarium, and whatever red sauce they give out completely masks the flavor of whatever you put it on. Being a literal giant, I usually eat whatever's in front of me. I could not stomach any of my, or my girlfriend's food- not even my sushi! I ordered the Las Vegas roll, which was served to me COLD and only had the smallest garnish of minced tuna fish in it. 95% avocado and cream cheese. Benihana is a chain. Well run as a business, and fairly consistent between visits - even locations. Having been here probably over a dozen times over the past decades, it seems that the food is mostly standard but solid and consistent. The quality of the chefs and cooking performance, however, seems to have gotten lackluster the past few years. I will grant that some people come here for completely unknown reasons - distracted, ambivalent, even messing on their devices while the food is being cooked. Very tough on the chefs to play to a distanced audience, but still, it's their job to have some fun with those of us encouraging and enjoying the preparation of our food. To management, if this comes from overworking the chefs or other job stresses, this will hurt you in the long run. A great post-COVID challenge to any business is to find new ways to empower and reward employees while still offering expected product to your customer. If we just want the food, there are dozens of fine restaurants with enclosed kitchens. We come here because we enjoy watching our food being prepped in front of us, and engaging with the chefs. Such a great experience!! I called a week or so before my party and the customer service on the phone was a great first impression. Those answering were responsive and gave my request to their manager promptly and the manager, Juan, was so helpful and accommodating. We had a very large party of 30 people and my table had Sarah as our waitress - she is lovely!! She was on top of her game - she recommended items that my friends inquired about and really assisted us to have the best experience possible there. Sarah - you were such a joy and a professional, friendly waitress and I so appreciate you! Mateo was the chef at our table and he was perfect. Been years since I've stopped in to dine here. So I finally made my way back. I was nicely surprised by the interior, nice and clean and much more modern than I remembered. Front of the house staff was very friendly in greeting. The food came out delicious. I'll tell you why i mentioned I was surprised to see the interior so nice. I think I kinda haven't stop in awhile id because the exterior landscaping of the place still has kinda over grown look. So from the curb appeal point of view you wouldn't know interior is very nice. But I'd suggest stopping in. I also saw there running a nice 5 course special for $39 more then one could eat. Online orders are often messed up. Today was the worst though. When we arrived to pick up the order, the hostess told us the order was almost ready. 10 minutes later she said it had been picked up. We would have had to wait 20-30 minutes for the order to be remade. Unfortunately, that wasn't a possibility for us today. It was very frustrating to say the least. I had to call to get a refund since the manager said he couldn't do it when we were there. One of my favorite places to eat because of the presentation and the fun of watching your food get cooked in front of you! In my opinion the menu is a little confusing... I feel anything hibachi should be a list on its own and separated from the rest. They always bring miso soup and salad first which are pretty good. There are chopsticks to use if you can! The chefs at dinner time do an amazing job of tricks and cutting everything in a fancy way. The show at lunch time is not as exciting. I ordered hibachi shrimp and my friend ordered hibachi chicken. We loved the shrimp and the mushroom that came with the chicken the most! You get a choice of steamed or fried rice and definitely go with the fried rice. Next time I would like to try the noodles. The chefs do a great job of cleaning everything and if you are vegetarian, you can ask to use different utensils as well and they are flexible about that. Since it was only us 2, we shared a table with random people but I recommend going with a group so you have more fun enjoying everything and seems private. The only room for improvement I could see was with a salad one of our party members had, there was no dressing on their salad. The night manager was incredibly rude. I ordered pick up for my anniversary and she refused to give me the food or open the door while I stood outside for over 5 minutes waiting for my wife to send me a screenshot of the order even though the manager said I am saying the correct name and I was the only order for pickup. She spoke to me very arrogantly and when she finally opened to door to hand me my food she waved me off and walked away while I was in the middle of talking! The chef also was standing there smirking and leaning on the door watching the whole interaction not interjecting at any point. This experience was by far the worst hibachi experience we've ever had. When I booked our reservation, I was told the hibachi tables can hold a max of 8 people. Since our party was a total of 11 people, we were told we would have two tables across from each other to accommodate our party. Unfortunately, when we arrived we all were forced to sit at one table even though the restaurant had several tables available. I asked the hostess but she said that our reservation wasn't setup for two tables and wouldn't accommodate the agreed setup. We also had several children at our table and the host and waiter seemed very reluctant to give us kids menus and they kept asking us if we were sure we needed kids menus (our youngest is 9 and nephew is 10). When ordering, if you want fried rice the price is an additional $6.95 per serving of chicken friend rice. A guest at our table ordered an additional upgraded rice (steak fried rice) and only had 4 pieces of meat in his rice which is completely unacceptable given the price. Our food was terribly seasoned with very little salt/pepper and soy sauce. That's it. The fried rice was still very white and tasted bland. My husband's steak was also over cooked. We came to this restaurant to see the cooking show and eat good food and the only "trick" that was done was the train/onion trick. No big fire, no cook engagement, and poorly cooked food. Then at the end of our meal, we were forced to give 18% tip after badly cooked food and one refill on our drinks. We will not be returning. There are MANY other options that are better priced with much better food and a better experience.
