Moving up the street and doing some major renovation. My partner sent me on my own to fetch some paints for the house and naturally I had no idea what I was doing. I want to say thank you to Jerry and Steve for being sooo accomodating and friendly regarding our current project. With someone that has not much experience in this, they were quick, efficient, and gave me great advice regarding what kinds of paints to use for our walls, cabinets, and even some design advice ha ha ha.. You can tell by the interactions with each other that they have a lot of fun at work too.. They mix paints to match the color you're looking for and there seems to be thousands of samples. There is something for everyone! There are even finish samples as well so I was able to see what my cabinets would look like after the paint dries.. Such a cool place. Steve. Thank you for the friendly service. It's been my experience that a supply shop that services mostly professional painters are not always warm with newbs or weekend warriors. Some have very large accounts and some small. I paint on the weekends and I'm pretty good actually! I hav e a gnarly cabinet painting job I am in the midst of and needed some 5" sanding disks for me Prestool sanding system. They didn't have what I needed but Steve was super cool and friendly. He told me where I could get these special disc for MY sander. I got them exactly where you told me . We need more Steves in this world! read more

Everyone that works there are very nice and knowledgeable. I wanted to paint my condo myself and had a bunch of questions. Everyone was very helpful in answer all my questions. They do get quite busy so when you know the paint color you need, you can call in advance and pick up later. read more

I used to go to Kelly Moore Paints on Hesperian because it was more convenient to drive there. However, I am now a forever customer at Moyers Paint for all my painting needs because of the customer service and sheer friendliness of the staff. They really do an amazing job running the shop. Everything is clean, organized, and you WILL be helped. It feels like your friendly neighborhood paint shop where everyone knows each other, and everyone they meet is warmly welcomed. I was helped by Steve today, and he helped me choose a grade of paint and made an account for me. Enrique was there too and he remembered me from the last time I bought paint (a month ago) and said hi. You know that saying by Maya Angelou... Thank you, thank you, thank you Steve and Enrique!!! You are amazing at what you do and saved us so much money by matching the color we needed. Long story short, the hardware store prepared a sample paint that did not follow the BM formula (we were not aware)... but we loved that color. And when our painting contractor ordered the paint (26 gallons) based on the BM color swatch, the color didn't match the sample paint. Fortunately, the guys at Moyers Paint were able to modify what we ordered to closely match the color we needed. They were very professional and customer service was great. After I finished my exterior house paint last November, now I need to work on my new fence stain project. Of course I would come to my favored paint store Moyers Paint Company since I have very good experience with them on my last paint project. As usual, Steve Bettencourt and Enrique Robles are very helpful and provided me with their professional advices. I have tried oils base and water base stain with 7 colors to find the one I like. I am very happy with the services that Steve and Enrique provided me. I strongly recommend Steve and Enrique for your house paint job needs.  I will recommend them to all my friends. Moyers is the only store the carries the materials I need but its a shame on how they treat their costumers. I travel 40 miles just to go buy the products I need and everytime I leave Moyers I leave in a bad mood especially when Bill is there. Hes rude and arrogant and does not give a care about the costumers. He will have you wait there until he feels like helping, He will give you attitude and he doesnt greet you whatsoever! Even over the phone he will unexpectedly hang up!! He is the only person that makes shopping there an inconvinience. Costumer service definitely isnt his thing so I dont understand what hes doing there. read more

I had a very specific color of dark blue I needed to touch up some walls that had been painted 2 years ago. It didn't make sense to paint the entire walls when there were only about 10 small touch ups needed. I didn't remember the actual color and I only had a very small piece I had managed to cut from the edge of an electrical outlet. The place where I originally bought the paint (Lowe's) tried several times to match the color without success and finally suggested I go to a specialty paint store. I decided to try Moyer's Paint Company at 351 Llewelling in San Lorenzo. Enrique and his son, Sebastian, were in the store which was very clean and neat. Enrique has 30 years experience working with paint. He promised he'd get it right. It took 4 adjustments to the original mix he tried. Each time he'd paint a bit of my little chip and dry it to see if it was a match. After the 4th adjustment he was satisfied he'd gotten it right. And he was correct! The color matched perfectly! I was so impressed that I went back to the store a week later to thank Enrique. In addition to excellent personal service and a well-organized store, they have a roomy parking lot making them a very convenient choice. read more

My wife and I walked into the store and were looking at different colors for our house interior...not a word from either of the gentlemen that were working. We were there for about fifteen minutes and left. We were looking specifically for Benjamin Moore paints so we went to Orchard Supply Hardware and were helped immediately As we were leaving Moyer's my wife said "thanks for the help!". I expected A LOT more. Customer service... maybe if you're a contractor or something. I can honestly say I've felt better buying paint from home depot because at least they'll ask if you need help, hell at least help who ever was in line first. We were standing at the counter for at least 10 minutes until we had to actually get their attention, while someone else (in paint covered overalls) just walked right in and got acknowledged right away. read more

I feel like a schmuck for not getting the name of the knowledgeable guy who so patiently answered all of my questions.
