Came here on a Thursday with a group of 5 and was able to be seated outside right away. This was around 5:45pm. The restaurant got a lot busier and seats filled up around 7pm. Also, a large event happened to be going on this evening so indoor seating wasn't available. I got the pad kee mao with tofu for $18. It was a good portion size; I was able to make 2 meals out of it! The noodles were cooked well, they gave a lot of tofu and good amount of veggies, and the heat was definitely there! Mu's staff were all very friendly and kept checking on our party! I think my meal was forgotten about because all of my friend's food came out in around 15-20 mins, where mine took closer to 25-30 and they had to keep telling me it'd be out soon. Located in downtown Redlands off the beaten path, Mu is in a quiet neighborhood. There were plenty of street parking around on a Friday night at 5p.m. There were plenty of tables. Service was great. Our server and owners brother were attentive. The decor was upscale inside and out. The food itself was OK. I judge a Thai restaurant by how well they execute Pad Thai. Unfortunately, their pad Thai fell short for me. The noodles were cooked but the sauce was oily and runny. The price was high as well. I also got the chicken satay. It was good, seasoned right. Brought my wife for her birthday. The food and martinis were very good although a little pricey. Service was really good as well with the exception with the bill. There was a discrepancy with my bill in that they had two different amounts for the same items. One amount on the printout they gave me to pay and one they had on their handheld payment register. They went with the slightly lower one which I paid. Then before we were going to leave they returned and stated I still needed to pay the tax that was not included in the bill I had just paid as this was the apparent discrepancy. A little confused as I arrived. 2 sides to choose from lounge and dining. Im laughing a little that there is also a beauty/brow bar lol. We're off to the side in a small room here for a large gathering. The staff has been very nice and welcoming.As we all arrived, my cousin did order a tai tea that had a fair amount of hair in it.We did have to return. They promptly took care of it. No.issues. We had called ahead to make a reservation for a larger group for dinner, and were told that they couldn't reserve a table due to an event, but they would be able to accommodate us when we came in. We got there within ten minutes of calling and the hostess said that they could not take our party at all, despite there being tables available outside. A walk-in party came up after us that were almost the same size, and they were immediately sat in the outside area, no problem. We were put off when we saw this, and on our way out, a different hostess tried to stop us saying that they could accommodate us now since they saw that we were frustrated. But it was too little too late and we took our business elsewhere. Will not be back. read more

Food: luxury thai food at its best here. Came here with my bestie and bf (before we started dating) for a dinner hangout. Tom Ka was huge portion and so flavorful with rich and creamy taste every gulp, pineapple fried rice was such a treat to see given its beautiful presentation. Kapow was good too, with the right amount of seasoning, but maybe I'll get something else next time. Price: around $20+ per dish, which in my opinion outrageously expensive for thai food, but i did say that this is luxury thai food. I'm cheap and usually opt for more affordable options around the area though. Ambiance: once again, i have to emphasize that this is luxury thai food place, it has the dimly lit fancy date night vibes, i wouldn't wear casual clothing here Service: people were friendly and nice, checked in to see if we needed anything throughout the meal, no issues Parking: there's a parking lot in the back with 2 rows of ample space available. there's also street parking out in the front as well. read more

First of all, Mú has the most awesome Thai food--and their fish is first-rate restaurant quality. None of that grocery store crap. I think the owner still goes down to the LA fish market to hand select seafood for her daily fresh fish menu offerings (on a chalkboard!) This time I ordered a lunch box through Too Good To Go App. Great way to prevent food waste! See photo: I got a lovely side salad with dressing, a cup of Tom Ka soup with chicken and Pad Thai entree that weighed over 1 lb. all for $5.95! If you want Mu thai food, then Mu's for you. This here's an upscale thai restaurant that serves pretty banging thai food. Yeah your go to pad thais are still available but I think there's so much more to life than pad thai. Get a kapow where everything is juicy and delicious or a tom ka soup to warm your soul. Either way you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The quality of the food here is notably better but you're also paying more so keep that in mind. So all in all, you got yourself a nice dining experience here in a cute neighborhood, what more can you ask for? read more

Way overpriced for extremely basic Thai food, sloppy. It was disappointing. They price things like it's going to be great, fresh, shareable but it's really not at all. Even the water was gross. While it was small, it still felt chill. as we entered the restaurant to be seated it was very tight, weird printers, and papers off to the left and a lot of junk in the front. It felt like you walked into someone's unorganized living room. The weight staff and assumed manager were attentive but at weird times. The drink menu was confusing with margaritas coming out in martini glasses. The appetizers were delicious and the food was very good, Thai cuisine, authentic, but the overall feel was just weird. I think this restaurant has great potential but they are severely understaffed. I went with family recently and they only had one waiter taking all of the orders of a fully packed restaurant, and a couple of food runners trying to keep up with the kitchen and refill drinks. The Thai food at Mu is high end, unique and delicious. The seafood kapow offers a large serving of of clams, mussels, crab, shrimp and squid in a spicy sauce. Bo de lac (cubed steak) is another good choice -- tender and flavorful. I especially like the Alaskan halibut and Chilean sea bass with Thai chili sauce -- truly tasty. High end fish like this is not available at other Thai restaurants. I highly recommend trying these unique dishes. read more

Redlands, Ca. I'm giving this place five stars because we arrived late near closing time and welcomed us genuinely. We were seated at a nice outdoor table with efficient heaters that were not too overpowering. Out waiter was really great, took the time with us for questions, got our order in and it arrived with only a short wait. The garlic shrimp was excellent with an unexpected abundance of shrimp. Summer Rolls we're also excellent as was the Tom Ka. Next time we're in town we will return to this place and it's great ambience, food, and waitstaff. read more

This place is a little off the beaten path, but well worth it. I went with a Thai friend, the Thai food was tasty and authentic. In addition to Thai, there is a smattering of dishes from european and other asian cuisines. The menu is not overly long, just two pages. But not making things too complicated keeps the food great and wait time short. The staff is efficient and friendly. We came in at the end of rush time, so it was a little bit of a wait for a clean table. After that, everything was smooth. The building itself was not originally a restaurant, i believe it might have once been a home. The owners have been creative in repurposing the space to make a nice restaurant. The oddity is that the bar is a separate building across the outdoor seating area. All in all, a great place! read more

This was not my first time here and for sure it won't be my last. Mu does not disappoint. I had the lychee martini, which was tasty. We had the shrimp spring rolls which were very good. The peanut sauce was a great addition. I also ordered the 1/2 portion of spicy tuna which came with a side of seaweed salad. The tuna was super fresh and not overly drenched in sauce. It wasn't too spicy either. The seafood kapow was sooooo good! I wasn't too sure what to expect from it, but it was loaded with fresh seafood. Mu Restaurant on the "other" side of the Redlands Mall rises to its tag line of modern cuisine with an ethnic flair. Back in pre-pandemic times, their martini bar, while small, was a great place to meet and visit with friends. But until those days return, it is still a treat to enjoy their cuisine at home. Without a doubt, Mu's soups and desserts are outstanding. For those, they get 5 stars. The #13 Tom Yum soup is a vegetable stock based soup with a bit of heat and undercurrent of saltiness. There is plenty of chicken and baby corn. You can taste the exquisite taste of the "ethnic flair" that personalizes this soup to Mu's. The Tom Ka soup is a cream colored soup due to the coconut milk and it was amazing! We had the chicken, which was tender and not boiled to death. The flavor was rich and savory. This is enhanced by its incredible aroma. It was a mouthful of flavor that you can get for $2 as a side dish. The #41 Pad Thai has tons of veggies, which provided a good balance to the noodles. The chicken was in thin strips and had a mild, pleasing flavor. Overall, there was a slight sweetness to the dish. The #44 Pad See Ew had the usual wide rice noodles. The flavor was rich and deep. For a few tips: for an extra $1, we added pork - well worth it. Also for $2, we receive a side salad. As you can see in the picture, it contained fresh ingredients. The Mango Sticky Rice was a super surprise. The 3 mounds of rice had tons of flavor and were sweet, yet not overly sweet. The mangos were spot-on fresh. Haven't been able to find good Thai food locally and someone recommended Mu. We gave it a try last night and from the first bite, we already knew we were coming back. Atmosphere: We sat outside, little chilly in Nov but the atmosphere outside was beautiful. Service: every server, cook, hostess that came by our table stopped to make sure we were good. So kind and welcoming. Food came out very fast. Food: we ordered the egg rolls, chicken fried rice and pad see ew. All amazing. Unique Thai flavors. We saved enough room for mango sticky rice, delicious. A great date night or just warm comforting dishes on cold nights. We are already planning our next visit and bringing friends.
