    Pina colada
    Yunhea K.

I really don't have faith in buffets lol but honestly, this buffet was so good this time. Our waitress was very attentive and fairly quick with drinks, refills, etc. I ordered a pina colada and it was so good. You could definitely taste the alcohol in there, but I loved that it wasn't overpowering and I could enjoy the pineapple and coconut flavors. I ate a lot this time and my favorites were the sweet chili fried shrimp and the fried oysters. It was fresh, cooked perfectly and it didn't taste fishy. The salmon and the green beans were good too, it seems like they used Thai chili or sweet chili for those flavors as well and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also had candied yams which were cooked perfectly and not overly sweet. The crab legs were fresh and cooked well, they came right out the shells without breaking. I really didn't have complaints about anything really. Overall it was a 8.5/10 and I will go back next time I go to Myrtle.

What was supposed to be an enjoyable evening of good food, quality service, and family time turned into an absolute nightmare that even ended with police involvement. At first everything seemed fine. We were greeted politely and seated right away. My family went to the buffet, plated our meals, and began eating. That is when the disaster began. Several of us quickly discovered spoiled crab legs that were soft and foul, fried foods that were limp and greasy, and side dishes that were clearly undercooked. We brought this to our waitress's attention, who promptly informed the on-site manager. Unfortunately, the manager's (Mary) response was far worse than the food. Instead of professionalism, we were met with visible irritation, dismissiveness, and shockingly poor customer service. The manager (Mary) refused to provide basic information such as written restaurant policies or establishment contact details. When asked about compensation for the inedible food, the manager (Mary) actually told us, "I should charge you full price anyway," even though much of the meal was untouched. This experience was appalling from start to finish. The lack of food safety, combined with a manager (Mary) who showed no accountability or respect for customers, escalated the situation to the point that law enforcement had to be called. I strongly advise avoiding this location at all costs. Between unsafe food, hostile management, and the complete absence of customer care, this is not a restaurant fit for families or for anyone else.

We came here in June 2024 for the beach town "seafood buffet" experience. The atmosphere was average with cafeteria- styled seating areas with older tables and chairs. However, the ceiling decor was very nice with large sharks and pretty wooded fish scattered about. They offered 10-12 menu items varying in price from $16-$25. The buffet was basically $45 per person AFTER 4pm. Discounts are pic'd below from their website BUT BE SURE TO MENTION THEM BC WE FORGOT TO AND THEY DIDN'T AUTOMATICALLY GIVE THEM YO US. You can also join a VIP mailing list for more. The buffet was a combination of country food and seafood. Seafood options included baked Shrimp: fried, steamed, scampi & popcorn; Oysters: steamed and Rockefeller; Clams: steamed & fried; as well as, KING CRAB LEGS, crawfish, mussels, scallops, crab cakes, baked salmon and mani mahi and a few others. Non-seafood meats included steak, ribs, sausage, chicken: grilled/fried and chicken tenders. The steak seemed to be all well-done (at least my piece was) but the ribs were juicy and tasty. Sides includes a salad bar, yummy mashed potatoes with brown gravy, cooked broccoli, corn, homestyle green beans, sweet potato casserole, Mac and cheese, plus a few others. Desserts included individual plates of chocolate cake and squares of cheesecake, as well as two pies: lemon meringue/butter pecan and large containers of peach cobbler, banana pudding and strawberry (sauce not fresh) short cake. They offer a full bar, sodas and tea to drink. Overall, we would go back bc the food was all good and the restaurant was clean and acceptable, however, we would opt for going at one of the discounted times. The full price buffet seemed like a lot, considering the average atmosphere and I wondered if other local buffets were comparable in price with better ambience.

Great food, & the buffet is always stocked! We arrived at 5:30pm ( & was able to use our $3 off coupon- attached in photos) making our adult buffet $32.99 as opposed to the $35.99! Children under 12 eat for $16.99. Given COVID-19 you must wear plastic gloves for each trip to the bar (gloves provided at the front of the line). The buffet has a huge variety of different seafood, chicken etc. The crab legs are hot & ready with tasty melting butter ready for dipping ! Our waitress Olivia was super sweet, always refilling our drinks without prompt & checking on us to ensure we were happy & satisfied. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this establishment & will definitely return.

This place is just "ok". Nothing spectacular to me. The food wasn't seasoned that great. Most of the dishes on the bar had been there a while. Crab legs were cold and reeked of crabby water. This place is too mediocre to be the price that it is.

I think it is a little hyped up but it's not a bad place in general. Some dishes or options are better than others. The steak was pretty good and the crab legs, though thin, were also delicious. Some dishes were a bit bland but overall, the food was decent. Servers were nice and our waitress was very polite, always making sure that our drinks were filled and our table was clean. I feel bad for not knowing her name. The place itself is large but quite dingy and outdated, needs a revamp. Experience in general was ok.

How much does the buffet cost? Is it the same price if you DON'T eat crab legs? Thanks!

It's the same price even if you don't event crablegs. It's market price so I guess it varies. I visited Saturday and it was $34. Still great!!

And it did not disappoint. The crab legs were the highlight--always stocked, served warm, and cooked really well. I tried a few other items that were just okay, nothing super standout, but for a buffet the quality of the crab legs alone made it worth it. We waited about 20 minutes in line to be seated, which wasn't bad, but just a heads up--there wasn't really anywhere to sit while waiting, so that could be a bit tough for anyone who needs accommodations. The desserts were also pretty good, and the place itself is huge. I loved the design details--everything has a nautical/boat theme, even the buffet stations and tables, which made it feel unique compared to other buffets. Service was great. We just had water, but staff constantly came around refilling drinks, clearing plates, and taking away crab leg shells, which made the whole experience smooth. Overall, we left full and very happy--definitely worth it if you're a crab leg fan!

Luckily I saw a packed place on Mr. Joe White Avenue called Simply Southern Smokehouse. Place looked legit and had a full parking lot so I pulled in. There is only one way in and once you get in, the cashier is on the right with the $15 all you can eat buffet right next to it. The $15 also included all you can drink soft drinks, water and sweet tea. I paid my money and grabbed a plate and ran right up to the buffet. They start out light with vegetables and sides, working up to the main courses of fried chicken, fried fish, pulled pork, smoked chicken and some hot wings. After that, they had some mac & cheese, and then the desserts which was blueberry cobbler, peach cobbler, homemade banana pudding...and a couple of other things. I started off with some broad beans, stewed okra and tomatoes, smoked chicken and hot wings. I brought my plate and my silverware to an empty table, which was getting hard to find as the place was so packed and then went up to fetch me a glass of water to wash it down with. They serve Pepsi products and of course sweet tea but I was going to save my calories for dessert. The place was clean, well lit and the seating was well designed with booths along the wall and tables in the center... and plenty of room between the tables. Once seated I dug right in. The broad beans were excellent. Done right and full of flavor. The stewed tomatoes and okra, although cook correctly was a bit bland for my liking. The smoked chicken was excellent and I used a bit of the golden SC BBQ sauce on it...great...and homemade. The hot wings were the real deal meaty and moist with a nice kick. I finished the plate in about five minutes. Time for round two. On my second trip up, I put some collard greens, lima beans, a piece of fried chicken and a piece of fried fish on the fresh plate. As I sat down to eat, I put a bit of hot vinegar sauce on the collard greens and dug in. The collards were excellent and the homemade vinegar hot sauce gave it a bit of a kick and bite. The Lima beans were soft and loaded with flavor. I then moved on to the fried chicken, which was cooked correctly with the skin crispy and well battered and the meat moist on the inside. That said, it was bland. Given how well the beans were seasoned I was surprised. Same thing with the fish, but they had a real good house sauce for it which gave it a nice flavor and saved it, but overall both the fried chicken and the fried fish were bland. I then went up for a plate number three and realized I was not gonna be able to eat anymore mains, which was a shame since the pulled pork looked great... It will have to wait for the next time I come. I did, however leave a bit of room for dessert and I'm glad I did . The banana pudding was delicious with a full banana taste and 'Nilla wafers on top and bottom adding a bit of crunch. I only had enough room for one of the cobbler so I chose peach and it did not disappoint. Nice and warm with a sweet peach flavor and tasty crumbles. I wanted more but controlled myself. As I got up to leave, I placed five dollars on the table for the cleanup guy who was hustling and keeping the place neat and tidy. I then looked around and noticed this was a real local spot full of people from Myrtle Beach. You have families, elderly people, young people, construction workers and people from local businesses. For $15 it cannot be beat. Not only will I be back again but I plan on bringing some of my friends from up north who are going to love this place...plus I gotta try that pulled pork and Mac and cheese...if the fried chicken and fish have more seasoning, I'll up them to 5 stars.

My mom now lives in Myrtle Beach. I come here to see her often and she always tells me how much she misses the Korean restaurants back home. So I found this place and decided to give it a whirl with very low expectations. The price for starters blew me away- $25 a person AYCE hotpot and bbq is almost unheard of! I really didn't believe it until I physically saw the bill. I also like how they have all the raw meats/fish and veggies set up in a buffet like style for you to bring back to the table to cook for yourself. Each person at the table gets their own soup aka hotpot that they can put whatever they want into it-I got the mushroom one and it was just simply outstanding. For the Vegans and Vegetarians- so many options here for you all as well! Everything was so fresh and even when I was full- I couldn't stop eating. We all definitely ate more than $25's worth. The service was also fantastic, the waitress constantly kept coming to check on us to make sure our table was good. Everything was seasoned properly and very fresh with a ton of dipping sauces that would make anyone who goes there happy. I will however say, they need to step up on the side dishes- the kimchi could have been a better quality along with their cold radish and spicy cucumber side, maybe possibly add some type of salad bar. The actual bbq pit on the tables could also be a little bit bigger, I found it to be small and it made it hard to cook all the meats and veggies at the same time. But other than that hats off the owner for making such a fantastic inexpensive Korean restaurant in Myrtle Beach. This place is a win for sure!
