My husband and I go here for a quick bite of breakfast every now and then. They have some consistency issues. Sometimes the bagels are so chewy they are hard to eat and sometimes they are soft. I order the same thing pretty much every time. I like my bagel lightly toasted, just like I do any bread. I don't like overly toasted bread. Golden brown will do. Sometimes they misinterpret lightly toasted as, fully toasted, virtually no cream cheese, or so much cream cheese it is oozing out of the bagel and making a huge mess. The women who usually make the orders are sort of rude. I do not know how anyone thinks they can run a good business without happy, nice employees or at least employees who can pretend to be nice and happy. Positive energy will get you a whole lot more success. Good customer service and good food together are hard to find. read more

Best bagels in Dallas by far. Go in the morning and you'll get them while fresh and warm. They are always bringing out fresh ones every 30 min. The best part is that these are made the traditional way with boiling water that makes the middle chewy and outside hard. It's AMAZING! We love Benny's Bagels. They have great bagles of course, and my personal favorite is the jalapeno bagel. They run out fast, so get there early! Sometimes the line is long as it can get quite busy in the morning, but they are fast at preparing your food, and it's definitely work the wait. I have been coming to Benny's bagels for over 4 years now. The food is AMAZING and very cost effective but that's not why I enjoy this place so much. The owner and the employees all know me by name. They remember mine and my girlfriends orders and are always asking us about what's going on in our lives. I have tried the Benny's in Richardson as well but nothing is quite like the one in McKinney. Found Benny's on Yelp and I am so glad we did!! These bagels are freshly made by hand and are delicious!! I tried the NYC bagel and it was out of this world!!! The garlic cheddar cream cheese does not disappoint!! The people behind the counter we so very nice!! They gave great recommendations and even helped me find the best deal! Plus, they treated my 3 year old like she was royalty! (Big deal to this momma.) She got to try the strawberry banana smoothie and it was delish!! We will definitely be back! I've eaten here for several years. The bagels are wonderful. They have several breakfast sandwiches-I had "Benny's Breakfast" this morning. This is an egg, ham, and cheese on a bagel of your choice. The sandwich was wonderful. They also have really good coffee. I typically drink "Benny's Blend" but I've never tried one I didn't like. They are busy in the mornings so prepare to be in line for a few minutes. The food is worth the wait. read more

Absolutely love Benny's Bagels.It's a great joint to go to for your breakfast and lunch needs! Friendly staff and the owner, Andrew, is a very genuine person. Nice atmosphere and cute place to take the family. Bagels are baked fresh daily the New York way, boiled then baked, which is hard to find around here. That being said sometimes the selection for bagels is a little low after around 11 or 12, which is why I recommend calling and placing a order ahead of time! You can even reserve some bagels or have some made for the next day by calling a day ahead! I highly recommend the salmon lox. It comes with your choice of bagel, mine being the New York (everything bagel plus onion and garlic), choice of cream cheese, onions, capers and tomatoes. Then the sandwich is topped with some ever so delicious salmon with a really nice Smokey flavor to it. Definitely a lunch that's to die for!!! Will for sure be returning!! read more

Hate the place! Went there a few times and each time I ordered 2 plain bagels (2 @ .99), 1 side of bacon (.99), 1 bagel w/cream cheese (1.99), and 1 breakfast bagel (4.29) = 9.25 But when they ring it up they do it as 2 full breakfast sandwiches (2 @ 4.29) , 1 bagel (.99), and 1 bagel w/cream cheese (1.99) = 11.56. They claim they cannot charge a la carte for a bagel and a side of bacon, they MUST charge the full 4.29 breakfast sandwich price even though the a la carte prices are plainly on the menu. When asked, the manager said they must charge the higher price or else they wouldn't make any money, When asked about the prices listed on the menu they said "we just can't charge those prices".
