I can understand why some reviewers have found fault here: pizza in the glass case did not look particularly appetizing, and, since we were ordering more slices than they had on any of the trays in the case, we asked them to make a new pie for us, which they did. That pie, plain pizza, was as good as any pizza that people rave about coming out of a New York City pizza place. Lots of cheese, very good sauce, the crust was just the right thickness & we enjoyed every bite. We loved all the Yankees baseball paraphernalia on the walls, the newspaper clipping collage honoring the town's local sports players and, well, the pizza. Not a I'm sorry madam but I missed placed your order, and as soon as u walk in they asked what name your order is so they know who's waiting. She then proceeds to tell me that she forgot to write the items we were missing down. Luckily my partner saved food from lunch and was able to still eat. Add to this the microwaved "grilled" chicken, burnt slices, soggy garlic bread, disgusting store-grade meatballs, needless to say we will not be returning. I you read any number of the bad reviews; this seems to be his M.O. His standard reply to the many negative reviews ??? "Tell it to my face" so childish and unprofessional. I think his reply speaks volumes about him as an owner, his product line and a lack of concern or caring for his customers. By the way, I live and work in the area and my neighbors and co-workers all agree with me.. They laughed when I told them I went there. Wanted to find something new after an away Field Hockey game. Definitely found the spot!! Walked into an amazing family atmosphere of warmness and positivity. The place smelt amazing and the food had generous portions for our main meals. Our two kids were picky eaters and were eating off our plates. From creamy Alfredo sauce with the chicken fettuccine Alfredo to the perfect blend of ricotta and mozzarella on the baked zita. The homemade garlic knots were huge and out of this world!!! We got a pie to go and it had a nice blend of sauce to cheese ratio with a crisp to the crust. Bonus slice of the Chicken bacon ranch on the way out can compare to no one!! Ordered the Bountiful Vegetarian Nachos. The worst nachos I've ever had. Never in my life have I had Nachos made with Cheese Whiz!! The menu says "with melted cheese", not with fake cheese or Cheese Whiz. And it was $18.00!! in a to-go pan with foil on the top which was falling off. All the fake cheese was on the top, nothing on the bottom. Besides the fake cheese, the topping was canned olives, chopped/unripe tomatoes and chopped onions. And the bruschetta, I mean, it's hard to screw up bruschetta, but they've done it. The bread is soaked in oil and soft, yet again. The picture included is of the Mother Italy panini and this is just an example of how soggy the bread is. Like I said, great flavors and very creative and awesome ideas, but terrible textures. Very very average. Ordered a tuna fish sub and called ahead to ask if it was tuna salad. The employee on the phone didn't seem to know anything about the menu. We showed up 30 min later and still had to wait 10 minutes. The employees behind the counter didn't seem to know anything either. I asked for a cup of water and she just stared at me...seemingly mute. Arrived home and my sub had in toasted cheese on top of tuna- no mayo at all. Absolutely disgusting. If you like loads of toppings on your pizza like I do, go to Benny's. When I saw that Benny's wasn't getting enough love on Yelp, I had to share my review. They sell by the slice and there are usually many different kinds to choose from in the case. I highly recommend the White Broccoli with Ricotta, the Philly Cheesesteak, Buffalo Chicken, or BBQ Chicken slices. I've had the mushroom slice, too, and it's pretty good. The amount of chicken they fit on the pizza is absurd, really. I've never seen any other pizza joint with the amount of toppings they fit onto their slices. I'll try to post a picture so that you can get the full effect. My boyfriend usually sends me pictures of the slices when I'm out of town to torture me, so I'm sure I have one somewhere. Sometimes the White Broccoli with Ricotta is a little underdone, but I simply place it in my oven for a few minutes and it is 10x better when the crust is a little crisp because the ricotta can soften the crust up a little too much. I've never had a bad experience like some of the other reviewers and I can be pretty picky. read more

Tonight was a special night for our family. We had a very special evening. Tonight we picked out the perfect tree...we found it in Stone Ridge. This has nothing to do with yelp or food until the crew proclaimed..."were starving", so I pulled into a pizza place called "Bennys Pizzeria"! Let me just say "a perfect ending to a perfect day. As soon as you get into the door we were met with hot apple cider, fresh cider donuts and cookies. The kids couldn't wait. The sign said help yourself and they did. It reminded me of how we use to visit house to house for the holidays back in the day. Did I mention this was all free, yes i said free? UNBELIEVABLE! Patrons inside say this is typical Bennys, he does this with candy apples, cannoli's, and chocolate covered strawberries, depending on the season. We finally made our way up to the counter to place our order. Now almost completely full on cider and donuts the kids ordered a chicken parmigiano sub to split. My wife and I ordered two slices and fried calamari. The order took a little while to get. When the chicken parm arrived I thought they were kidding, it was so huge we all could have shared it. The sauce was fresh and just the right color and the chicken was tender and juicy with a great crunch. Our pizza slices were incredible and also a dinner in themselves. The penne al vodka was good, but nothing memorable. The cheese pizza was good and had nice sauce, but it was way too cheesy for my liking.
