From the people behind Eliza, Fletcher & Lu and one other, Ollie's Pizza in High Falls, NY, has paved the way for success- and it delivers. And they know it. Plus these folks say it loud and proud that they're the first born; not Eliza- their sister restaurant over in Kingston which we love. We moseyed through back roads to familiarize ourselves then noticed Ollie's without even planning it. Just then, I realized Ollie's is sitting on an antique+vintage black barn shop I visited several years back. Anyhow. I love a good ol' slice- but I've mentioned a bunch of times that I also love a Neapolitan-style pie. From air bubbles, thin- but not too thin triangle, chewy- but not gummy crust and charred marks- that are just perfect. Folks, if you're looking for a pie like that, this is a must-visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the gravel picnic-style area to inside, Ollie's P. gives off that little je ne sais quoi that you won't find anywhere else- especially in these sticks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My White Pie with 3 cheeses and caramelized onions was so good- everything worked together for a flavorful bite after bite and hubs devoured his Margherita with pepperoni add-on. They also offer cacio e pepe arancini, roasted broccolini, salads, sandwiches, etc- if you prefer something other than pizza. My pro tip would be to order a pizza- I mean....you're here already and honestly, you won't regret it. Service was phenomenal and so was my Shirley Temple.

Caesar Salad

We were greeted with a smiling face as the hostess welcomed us to the establishment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We brought our dog with us and we're a little nervous, but the tables are very spaced out that each customer has their own area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started our service off with the glazed, hot honey wings, followed by a Caesar salad and the white pie pizza with pepperoni. I included photos of all the food except the pizza because we got too hungry and I forgot to take a picture of it, lol. Overall great service and a dog friendly establishment! [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have water bowls for the dogs to use while you're dining there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff was very friendly and the bathroom was very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pizza IS GOOD!

What a great spot with a very happy team. Everyone was smiling and happy to be there. Everything was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Space was great and classically curated with some vintage charm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Server was superb and kind with a hint of super friendly. Drove up from Poughkeepsie and we'll be back in the spring for some outdoor seating.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Really love the picnic vibe sitting outside of Ollie's! Kid friendly dog friendly and busy on summer days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Counter service with a menu packed with lots of pre-suggested pizza combos or make your own option. We started with the cacio e Pepe arrancini which were delicious! We also ordered a plain cheese pie with mushrooms and the famous onion pie to share. We loved the thin crust dough and the freshness of the ingredients! The favorite was the cheese and mushroom pie and truthfully I was left a little disappointed by the onion pie. The pies are on the smaller, and pricier, side. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I think I'd personally prefer Ollies more for the ambiance/ experience on a summer day than for the pizza itself.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Upside down margarita - our fave
Jess L.

My friends and I were really pleasantly surprised by how good the pizza from this little spot was. The thin crust had a little bit of char and a subtle smoky and saltiness that went well with our pizza choices. Our favorite was the upside down margarita, which they recommended we get. The arancini were also a good add on and some of the biggest ones I've ever seen. (That's what she said!) Ollie's is obviously a staple in town. Do yourself a favor, and if you're doing takeout, call many hours ahead. It's very popular!

My besties live in Rosendale and whenever I come up to stay with them, it's our tradition to go to Ollies for pizza. Servvice is always been good. We've always been greeted nicely by the hostess and the waiters are across-the-board, friendly and helpful. Needless to say, I love the pizza and we love trying every different kind they have. Definitely my favorite place in High Falls.

Oh wow this pizza is incredible. Just delicious. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the prices. The prices that are clearly written on the menu. Nobody forced you to order anything. Shut up. Really nice outdoor seating too. This is the first place I've sat down to eat since all this craziness started and I felt very comfortable. Everything is very spaced apart. I'll definitely be back. Brett rules!

We were pleasantly surprised with this place during a trip upstate. Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty busy mostly with families eating outside. They have a nice set-up with a stand where you can order drinks and food. There's also a full restaurant inside with a view of the kitchen, but it was pretty quiet there then since it was so nice out. We shared the Ollie's Salad with added Chicken Cutlet and The Famous Onion Pizza between two of us and it was the perfect amount of food. The salad was light and fresh, the cutlet was a perfect addition for a full meal - juicy and crispy. I loved the pizza dough, so thin and chewy and the sesame seeds were an unexpected touch. It was really hard to decide on what to get since everything sounded so good. I'd definitely like to come back for more!

We started with Drinks. I had the Martini Special for the 4th of July and my husband had a Apple Spritzer made with Champagne. We went out to dinner today for my birthday. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts appetizer. It is sooo good. We had the Pan Seared Chicken which came with Fresh sautéed Green Beans and Polenta. The polenta was served in a square. I liked it that way and it made it easy to dunk in the Mushroom Gravy that came with the Chicken. My Mom had the Pan Seated Chicken too but they accommodated her by making a separate gravy minus the butter and hers was served with Salad & French Fries. We also had the Steak Tacos and a Watermelon Salad which was also delicious. We ended with dessert which was a Rubard Lemon tart and Black Raspberry Ice Cream wth whipped cream and a cherry. We totally enjoyed ourselves. My Moms have been coming to this restaurant for years. They also have a outdoor area behind the main restaurant called The Hill whete they have live music. The Restaurant is very clean, there is stonework throught out. It has a very warm relaxing vibe to it. As walk through the doors you are Always Welcomed with a Smile. Thank you for a very enjoyable dinner

We could barely eat the food it was so hot... there was also no air flow and everyone at our table could barely breathe it felt like, hence why it was hard to enjoy anything. I get that there is a heatwave, but we called around to many restaurants who closed down due to the heat so we felt like this was a safe bet. Took around 45 mins to get the food as well. Staff was sweet, but we lost our waitress halfway through which was aggravating. Our food came out and we asked for more drinks (soft drinks) and condiments and she never came back until we hunted her down for the check. Don't think we will be coming back.

Of course we cleaned up and walked over and were even more thrilled when we arrived to a completely empty dining room with the exception of our wonderful waiter and attentive host. It felt like the perfect, cozy intimate space to the end of an otherwise rainy, somewhat crazy but fun day. We shared a bottle of red on recommendation and had cocktails. The waiter was warm and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The ambiance is cozy and has an elevated feel. Service was exceptional and it was the perfect, memorable evening. Ended dinner with what I recall was a complimentary chocolate truffle. 10/10!

People are kvetching about Butterfield's service and prices. And guess what? They're right. Service…read morewas indeed spotty on the Saturday night we came here and prices- well....they veer into sharp-intake-of-breath territory, but the cocktail and wine list are good in value. We'd just wrapped up seeing a property in the area- so coming here for dinner, fell just in line with timing before heading down home. Butterfield is Hasbrouck House's on-site farm-to-table restaurant located a bit north from New Paltz. While we didn't stay at the hotel, folks can certainly dine here. Don't even think that you'll be seated in an ultra-cheap bar area because their bar is put together elegantly with brushed, brassy-gold touches, navy, grey+cream patterned wallpaper and a comfortable tufted leather(?) sofa against the windows. Those are pretty much the overall touches with lots of tone and a lot of warmth. Music was a great mix of 60s-70s R&B. Yeah.... here. Hubs and I were digging it. Naturally, Butterfield's menu will change regularly according with what's in season and available. Between our 'Small Plates' of mixed Beet salad+ yogurt ($18) and hubs' crispy wonton Tuna Crudo+ yuzu tacos ($22)- they were very tasty and pricy for the small size. Mr. Mixologist packed our cocktails extremely well with an incredible TKO. Our main plates were very good- but again, small for the dollar amount. No one needs to gorge on food- but I wished my palm-size $44 Halibut was a bit bigger. To their defense, it had a tasty rub and done PERFECTLY moist though. Hubs' $54 "dry aged strip loin" was a total of 3 pieces. And my take-out Truffle Risotto had uncooked rice. Again, it's small and expensive at $38 for a main plate Hubs and I eat well and usually, money is no object- if it's within reason. I totally get that fine dining typically means splurging a little for high-quality items or that Butterfield is using 'complex cooking techniques' or that you'll get an original dining experience in these neck of the woods for those who want uniqueness. But there are a ton of restaurants that use the same skill set, quality organic ingredients, root veggies, etc- and they're way more reasonably priced than this location.
