This was my first time trying Bento at their Winter Park location. The staff was very sweet and the service was fairly quick. You have the option of ordering with a staff member or ordering on the touchscreen. I ordered on the touch screen and then asked for a water cup from the staff member. The photo ended up being blurry, but I essentially ordered a build your own poke bowl with two proteins. I got the soy marinated tuna and the salmon and I topped it with mango, scallions, cucumber, carrot, masago, and sesame seeds. I paired it with the sweet Thai chili and the yum yum sauce. I also got a miso soup on the side and it was very delicious. I took a bite of the green beans and they were very garlicky and flavorful, but a little too oily for my liking. Stopped in for lunch and was surprised to learn they didn't have a lunch menu. The cashier said they have happy hour specials from 2-5. I opted for the steak and chicken hibachi bowl. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The dish was good and flavorful. Portion size was ample although the steak straps were kind of small. It would have been enough to take home but I chose to eat all the protein and veggies and leave the remaining lo mein. Service was good. I saw the same employee who took my order bussing tables and taking food to tables. She was doing it all! I finally tried this fast casual restaurant after 5 years of working out at the LA Fitness next door and not trying it. I was pleasantly surprised by amount of choices and the cleanliness of this restaurant. I greatly enjoyed the flavor and texture of the tofu in the sesame noodle bowl I ordered. I was able to add on a soup for only $1, and the overall prices are reasonable. I felt like the cooks were working hard and served the dishes hot as soon as they were ready. My main complaint is the computer ordering. Since it was my first time, I had lots of trouble figuring out how to order the items using the computer. The girl at the counter saw that I was having trouble, but wasn't very helpful. I was very frustrated with the ordering part of the experience, but enjoyed the food and plan to go again. read more

It has been at five years since I've stopped into Bento. The area tends to be crammed with cars visiting the variety of stores and the gym in this area so parking can be hideous. I happened to be in the area because I also wanted to walk through the nearby Homegoods, if I could find parking. Walked in and there were only four people eating, I was going to use the kiosk but the gal behind the counter took my order, I went with the hot lava ($16.5), the mex ($9), and got it made into a combo for $4, which includes the pork egg roll and a cup for soda. The two shrimp tempuraed rolls were decent and not bursting in flavors. The topping for the hot lava had enough to spread a bit over the mex, so that added a small bit of taste but aside from that it was rather bland. The pork egg roll, which I left for last, was crisp and finished off my meal well with the flavors of the meat and the veggies inside finally filling my palette with some taste. Tuesday night dinner w the ladies- last minute decision to come here as our first choice was closed on Tuesdays. The parking lot was full. I had to go around a few areas. The restaurant has a few seated customers and quite a few pick up orders. The menu has changed. I was looking forward to yellow curry and a zombie roll. Those don't exist anymore. I had seen them on fellow yelper pics/reviews. This place is cashless fyi. I chose the sushi bento box which is your choice of two 4-piece rolls from the classic menu and 8 California pieces w a salad for $16. I went with four pieces of rainbow roll and four pieces of Florida roll. I was shocked to find out they only have the green soy sauce. Where's the red one???? The green one doesn't taste good. So I opted for no soy sauce. What a joke for an Asian place. Weekdays there is a happy hour (see my pic) sp I had a beer. I asked to keep my free beer in the cooler til I was ready for it. The cashier changed while we were eating but when I grabbed it and said it was my bogo beer; hr just nodded and opened it for me. I was glad I didn't have to get my receipt etc. The sushi was ok. Small pieces of fish. I was still hungry after but whatever. We went to the bakery next door afterward. The ladies had bento boxes and did not finish them. That's probably the best deal at the place but they said the rice was plain and the noodles didn't have a lot of flavor. Service was friendly, but I won't be back. No red soy sauce is a deal breaker. I love bento! It's a great quick service place with good food. They offer sushi rolls, poke bowls and rice or noodle bowls. We like to order the family meal which comes with 4 rice or noodle bowls, and 4 salads or miso soup. That will typically last us two days because the bowls are pretty large. Other than that I've had plenty of poke bowls which are very refreshing to have and of course their sushi. I love love love the Miami roll and a few others. Bento does offer dine in service if you would prefer. Services is quick and friendly enough. I always find myself going back regardless of that since it's convenient. read more

I order from here all the time for lunch! My favorite thing to order is the Pao Pao Chicken it is so delicious! It's creamy and spicy! Their Lo Mein when coated with the sauce is so good too. I like their green beans as well. I usually get the Kids Meal since it has more than enough food, the regular portions are huge. I like the sushi here too! They are not the most authentic Asian restaurant but I think their take on Asian cuisine is good. The good: food was fresh, restaurant was pretty clean, staff was very nice. The bad: I found the food to be just okay. I got a sushi combo and the flavor was lacking. The sushi rice is not well seasoned. I thought perhaps it was just my choice and I might be OK if I got something other than sushi so some of my friends let me try their food. Two other dishes were also very meh. The sauces were very sweet and didn't have much else going for flavor. The best thing ordered was the fried rice. The boba tea we ordered was also just okay, the flavor of the strawberry milk tea was very strange, but the Thai tea was better. We had a few mistakes with our order as well but the crew was happy to rectify them. Overall I think there are better spots to get similar food and I probably wouldn't come here again. But it wasn't terrible maybe you will chance upon better menu options than what we chose. read more
