This was my first time trying Bento at their Winter Park location. The staff was very sweet and the service was fairly quick. You have the option of ordering with a staff member or ordering on the touchscreen. I ordered on the touch screen and then asked for a water cup from the staff member. The photo ended up being blurry, but I essentially ordered a build your own poke bowl with two proteins. I got the soy marinated tuna and the salmon and I topped it with mango, scallions, cucumber, carrot, masago, and sesame seeds. I paired it with the sweet Thai chili and the yum yum sauce. I also got a miso soup on the side and it was very delicious. I took a bite of the green beans and they were very garlicky and flavorful, but a little too oily for my liking. The restaurant wasn't too busy and it was very clean. The staff cleans up your table once you leave.

Stopped in for lunch and was surprised to learn they didn't have a lunch menu. The cashier said they have happy hour specials from 2-5. I opted for the steak and chicken hibachi bowl. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The dish was good and flavorful. Portion size was ample although the steak straps were kind of small. It would have been enough to take home but I chose to eat all the protein and veggies and leave the remaining lo mein. Service was good. I saw the same employee who took my order bussing tables and taking food to tables. She was doing it all! For those who don't like human interaction, there are two "skip the line" kiosks for ordering. The dining room was clean with a decent amount of seating. Outside seating is also available.

Enjoyed lunch at Bento yesterday. We ordered the Mongolian chicken box. Served with a scoop of white rice , noodles, string beans, small salad all very good!!! We also had the small Poke Bowl. Fresh and crispy with avocado and ginger dressing. A great lunch. Counter server was very nice. Someone stopped by the table to check in on us. Good touch!! Fresh clean atmosphere. A repeat guest. Definitely a good spot!!

hot lava, mex and pork egg roll with a soda

It has been at five years since I've stopped into Bento. The area tends to be crammed with cars visiting the variety of stores and the gym in this area so parking can be hideous. I happened to be in the area because I also wanted to walk through the nearby Homegoods, if I could find parking. Walked in and there were only four people eating, I was going to use the kiosk but the gal behind the counter took my order, I went with the hot lava ($16.5), the mex ($9), and got it made into a combo for $4, which includes the pork egg roll and a cup for soda. The two shrimp tempuraed rolls were decent and not bursting in flavors. The topping for the hot lava had enough to spread a bit over the mex, so that added a small bit of taste but aside from that it was rather bland. The pork egg roll, which I left for last, was crisp and finished off my meal well with the flavors of the meat and the veggies inside finally filling my palette with some taste. The server was friendly, and the rolls came out quickly.

The service is great, you walk in and order at the counter. They give you a table number and deliver your order to you. The food was seasoned well, non-greasy and not too salty. I enjoyed my food so much that I returned a week later for a to-go order. Food travels well. I modified my order and everything was correct. The parking lot is always packed (it's a shared lot) but it's worth circling around for a spot.

My sushi / poke bowl (I chose to build my own) was fresh and flavorful. I did not expect to enjoy as much as I did. The team here was friendly and helpful. The restaurant could be more clean. We got there when it first opened and a few of the tables had trash or drink spills on them. Not sure how that happens that early. Other than that the food was good and I will go the take out route next time.

Ordered Jumbo Shrimp Pan Fried Noodle here $16.95 takeout. While waiting for the food. I was asking the gal behind the cash register if they have been busy lately with the Chinese BBQ and she stated this past weekend they were really busy. I then told her it's because Kai Kai owners left Kai Kai and sold it maybe to another owner but they no longer run Kai Kai. So as the conversation passes she told me - The Crispy pork they cook there is NOT ROASTED but FRIED. It was brought up because i was telling her a few people have said kai kai fell off as far as taste in the bbq / meats. So then I said yes the skin part is not crispy like how you guys do it. So she mentioned she wondered why they have been busy with Chinese BBQ meats as of lately. I ordered the $4.95 boba smoothie (mango) as a refresher because it is hot outside - For the price it is not bad I think they use mango puree as the base. The dishes here are delicious. This is why I keep coming back.

These legends welcomed our whole crew with zero wait like it was just another Tuesday--talk about VIP service. Now let's talk food. First up, the tofu and veggie stir-fry--a glorious mix of crispy tofu cubes with perfectly sautéed broccoli, carrots, and bok choy in a savory brown sauce that hugged every bite like a warm hug from a Chinese grandma. The beef with broccoli? Tender, flavorful, and bathed in rich umami goodness. Honestly, if I could bottle that sauce, I'd put it on everything--maybe even my cereal (don't judge). The Honey Walnut Shrimp was love at first crunch. Perfectly crispy shrimp in a creamy, sweet glaze topped with candied walnuts and nestled on a bed of fresh steamed broccoli. This dish was the Beyoncé of the table--everyone wanted a piece. Those crispy, golden Shrimp Ball Fritters? Imagine a crunchy sea urchin made of joy. Light, airy, and addictive--basically the potato chip of appetizers. The pan-fried dumplings were thick, juicy, and had the perfect crispy sear. No sad, soggy dumplings here. Then came the crispy duck--dark, rich, and bursting with deep roasted flavor. It had that satisfying crunch you want, and the meat melted in your mouth. A must for meat lovers. But the real MVP? Those soup dumplings. Steamy little flavor bombs that explode in your mouth like a culinary fireworks show. Served in their own mini tins like royalty--juicy, delicate, and impossible to eat just one. The table went silent the second they landed. That's how you know it's real. With quick service, huge portions, and a menu that hits every craving from noodles to dumplings to sizzling plates of joy, Peter's Kitchen China Bistro was the unexpected gem we didn't know we needed. Cozy, authentic, and efficient--this place made our group dinner easy, delicious, and downright memorable.

We arrive right when they open, get seated, and get some nice oolong tea brewing while the ladies with the carts stock up and start tantalizing us with their scrumptious dim sum. Fried shrimp, dumplings, shumai, ribs, buns, and my absolute favorite, sticky rice. It all just came flying one after another after another, and it makes life so much better when you can share these delectable little treats with a table full of people. Eating more of one thing means you don't get to try as many things. That's no good. So we came, we saw, we conquered. Ambiance was the nice, stereotypical American Chinese tranquility. We tried a dim sum dumpling that had shrimp and some other meat (waiter was so quiet I couldn't hear him) and it was okay. We also tried a tofu wrap and a chewy shrimp wrap that was 90% wrap and had 2 mini shrimp in it. We also got the bok choy and it was okay. Very oily. The spicy oil was good. The hot tea was good as well. Bathroom was clean. Service was sporadic and the dim sum carts were not coming around nearly enough for how many people were in the dining room. The food was okay- I think if I came back I would order off the menu instead of dim sum. We were there around 1pm on Sunday. It was relatively busy and there were many people in and out of the dining room.
