I used to live in downtown Bothell and would come here all the time, but moved away and have not been back in a few years. I found myself in the area last week and stopped in. While the owners are different, it appeared that at least one of the cooks was still working there. The food was so good. I had the spicy beef and pork and it was delicious with a nice kick of heat. I am going to be making more trips to Bothell now, I forgot how good this place is. Any other teriyaki place has paled in comparison. read more

So good and super fast!! I got an order of spicy chicken teriyaki and an order of chicken yakisoba. They both were equally delicious. The chicken was cooked exactly how I prefer, charred with good crunch for texture! The yakisoba was cooked in this delicious sauce that really added extra flavor and pulled the whole dish together. We ordered takeout for the first time from Bento Teriyaki and will definitely not be the last. What can say everything was just delicious! Filled with flavors, moist and tender, beef melts in your mouth. Prices are insanely cheap for the portion you get. We have gotten take away twice both times excellent. My husband loves the teriyaki chicken and gyoza combo and I get the spicy chicken and gyoza. The restaurant is very busy at lunch. Both times after getting our order and returning to our car the person at the register followed us out and switched out our orders. Apparently they weren't right the first time. Awful service. The woman serving my food swiped, my purse as I was just leaning down to grab her cash. This is called petty theft. I returned to the restaurant and she basically smirk at me and handed me my wallet that she swiped knowingly. I will not support this food service moving forward. I had to throw out all my food because it was soggy and cold when I got home because of the extra time I was looking for my wallet that she swiped off the counter. This is a great location for a fast food joint next to share tea. So as we wait on food to cook, we went to get our boba fix. I liked the friendly service and big portions but to be honest, this didn't hit the spot for me. The shrimp were small and a little dry. The fried rice portion was huge and generous amount of chicken. I felt like the flavor was ok and onions were a bit underdone for my liking. Overall, nice seating areas and good, fast service. Love Seattle style teriyaki!! We always order take out from here when we are visiting our family in Washington! The chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu are our go to items. The sauce is perfect with the perfectly charbroiled chicken. The kids meal is a great option for a little variety, the potstickers, shrimp tempura, and chicken teriyaki is my favorite little combo. We also started with egg rolls and we absolutely loved the egg rolls! They provided extra teriyaki sauce without us asking. The flavor was great and the chicken was cooked really well. A lot of teriyaki places seem to care more about quantity over quality but here the quality is amazing and it's a good portion but maybe not as big as some other places. We shop at the QFC across the street and keep saying, "let's try that sometime". Tonight we did. Even though there were lots of people in a line, it went fast because it was all pickup. We had called in an order for the Chicken and Beef combo and Pork Yakisoba. It was hot and ready when we got there in about 20 minutes. The meat was very good and served with 2 scoops of rice.The yakisoba actually had veggies you could identify, and lots of them. It also came with rice. The man at the counter was really nice and friendly, which is somewhat unusual for Bothell teriyaki places. The place was clean and the prices are reasonable, too. We'll be back! read more

My friend and I stopped by a couple of weeks when we wanted to grab some lunch after stopping by Sharetea. It looks like your mom and pop restaurant from the outside. LOCATION & PARKING // This is near downtown Bothell in a big strip mall. It's right next to Sharetea on the corner and it might be easier to look for the Sharetea than the Bento Teriyaki sign. There is a TON of parking here so don't stress about that. FOOD // I ordered the CHICKEN & BEEF TERIYAKI plate. All plates come with your choice of protein, rice, and a side salad. The food here is standard teriyaki. It didn't stand out to me too much in both a good and bad way. The side salad felt a little thrown onto the plate, meaning that it didn't add much to the meal. AMBIANCE // This is a very casual place. You come in, look at the menu listed above, and order it at the front. It reminds me of a fast-food restaurant. Nothing is overly fancy about this place. You grab some plastic utensils from a nearby shelf and sit down and wait for your food. SERVICE // Even though there isn't that much staff interaction, my friend and I stayed here for almost 2 hours just hanging out. We never felt rushed out or anything. (Also, if you do this, please don't forget to increase your tip!) It seems like they're all hardworking and dedicated staff members. OVERALL // 3.5 stars It's a decent teriyaki spot. Wow! I went to Bento to grab a quick bite for lunch during my work day and I was extremely pleased. I walked in to a clean room where you can enjoy your meal dine-in. When I walked up to the counter I was greeted by an extremely pleasant woman who asked how I was doing and what I would like to order. I noticed their grill is right behind the counter so you can see them cooking the chicken. This is nice being able to see what your food is being cooked fresh! So I ordered thee the teriyaki chicken with extra rice instead of salad. She had me open my box to check my meal before I left. It looked amazing and the quantity of food you get for a sub $10 meal is so nice, especially in a town where it seems like it takes $20 to even get full. My experience at this teriyaki place was amazing. My fiancée and I have never been there before and we walked in on Wednesday night to get a quick bite to eat and the owners/staff we just the nicest people from point A to Z. We both order our own Chicken Katsu and we shared a side order of gyoza and it was cooked to perfection. Our family loves this place - it's not authentic Japanese food by any means, but if you're going to a "teriyaki" restaurant in the PNW that's not what you should be looking for. The short ribs are our go-to (yes, they're more expensive than the other items, but they're worth the splurge). We're also fans of the chicken curry, pork teriyaki, and the katsu. The gyoza are a kind of over fried, usually, but they're still tasty. If you dine in they have water and hot tea available at no extra charge. The owners are friendly and very kind to their regulars. Tried to place an order via the phone 12/14 in the afternoon when the guy who answered was extremely unfriendly. I had mistakenly ordered the wrong dish and quickly corrected but this frustrated the guy on the phone who verbally ensured I knew he was not happy I switched from beef to chicken (within seconds of saying the dish I corrected myself) My family has been going here for a while and it recent time it changed owners. Seeked out this little spot today, since changing work locations I have not ate teriyaki or even buying lunch, and with the nasty weather we were having these past couple of days I really was not in the mood to cook or pack my lunch. So my go to teriyaki spot was now a bit far to travel for a quick bite for lunch. As I was driving with intentions of going to the grocery store, I saw Bento Teriyaki out of the corner of my eye in this small local strip mall, so I decided to give it a go. Interior was small, quaint, about 4-5 two top tables, dingy yellow walls (don't judge a book by its cover), 3 people waiting for their meals (a totally good sign), 3 people behind the counter and directly behind the counter was the cook tops, you could see the 2 cooks had just finished making a dish as they were cleaning to prep for the next order. I was immediately greeted by the chef and the store owner. I was looking at the menu and was totally being indecisive, and asked the lady if she had a combo special of chicken katsu and beef teriyaki, she cheerfully said I can make any combo you would like! YES! my kind of place, even if they didn't have it on the menu she was pleased customized it however I wanted. Ordered to go, food was warm, fresh and exactly how I ordered it. Oh and I asked for extra sauce and she gave it to me without asking for a surcharge! This will be a go to spot on my list now for Teriyaki.
