Overall very solid meal with a tasty and flavorful food. I loved the varied of banchan and appetizers that came with the meal. Will come back in the future to try some other items. Food: The started the meal with some complimentary appetizers (sushi roll, salad, and a light soup) that were a nice start to the meal. We got their Dakgalbi which was flavorful and delicious. Would recommend getting this for 2 or even 3 people. Make sure to let it cook on the pan and allow the sauce to caramelize a bit. Their meal also is accompanied by a nice variety of flavorful banchan that were even plated nicely. Service: Our server was nice and asked to refill our water and check in on us multiple times. Ambiance: The facility was updated and cozy.

They go hard with the banchan here. We ordered two apps and one main and got so many sides. The service was pretty attentive for most of the meal. It wasn't too busy so the ambiance was pretty relaxed and there was some music on and a k drama playing on the tv. Overall the food was pretty good! I'd order the bibimbap again. I do wish they had more vegetarian options though.

Havent had dakgalbi outside of in Korea so it was nice to see it on the menu. Super flavorful, great portion for two, and chicken was super juicy! I was impressed by the amount of banchan (sides) and the plating for it. Service was great where they even gave us refills on not just a few of them like some places but even all of them! With our order, we got free appetizers as well. California rolls were random but were good. Fish cake soup was very cozy . I'd come back to try since they have many other traditional dishes.

Side dishes were plentiful and plated beautifully. This is a good spot for a group of 4 friends. They do have a few bigger tables too. An-Dong Chicken Stew came with a lot of chicken peeling away from the bone very nicely. Gung-Jung Kalbitang had a lot of meat. I wish there were more glass noodles but that's my personal preference. LA Kalbin was delicious but a bit too seasoned for me. We made reservations and were seated promptly! Service was attentive and polite.

Modoo Hansang is the best! I came here with a group of 4 an hour before closing and I was pleasantly surprised by how many banchan or appetizers they offered before our main dishes. My group ordered the yukgaejang, tteokbokki, rice cake soup, and vegetable pancake. Before we got them we were served salad, sushi, and fish cake soup. After that our main dishes came but also with many more side dishes. Modoo Hansang did not want to leave us hungry. The vegetable pancake was so crispy and not oily at all. I love when food is crispy! The yukgaejang was hearty and really good for cold weather. The tteokbokki and rice cake soup, which I did not have but my friends said it was very tasty. Definitely come to Modoo Hansang because it is worth the price and their hospitality is amazing!

Definitely bookmarked this spot for all the banchan I kept seeing and it didn't disappoint. Tofu soup combo with protein is one of my favorites! The pork katsu was paired so well with the egg. Definitely coming back! Everything was so nicely plated. Staff was also super attentive and asked if we had any allergies. Definitely coming back!

super friendly and generous comfy korean restaurant! we ordered bossam which was a very generous portion! The meat was very fatty though. The provided a weird combo of sushi, fishball soup, and salad to everyone as an appetizer which were fine. The side dishes were hit or miss to us, but mostly delicious and beautiful! Service was very friendly and attentive, it's just a larger restaurant so it can take time getting their attention. Would come back for all the other options but would recommend ordering less to start given the extra appetizers and generous portions!

Hands Down the Best Korean Restaurant in Washington State. Modoo Hansang in Bothell deserves every bit of praise it gets--and then some. From the moment you walk in, the staff treats you with an exceptional level of warmth, attention, and professionalism. Their customer service is truly impeccable, and it sets the tone for everything that follows. The food? Top. Notch. Every dish bursts with authentic flavor, high-quality ingredients, and the kind of care you only find in places that genuinely love what they do. Whether it's the richness of their broths, the tenderness of their meats, or the perfect balance in their side dishes, you can tell this kitchen operates on a different level. In my personal opinion, Modoo Hansang isn't just great--it's the best Korean restaurant in the entire state of Washington. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out on an unforgettable dining experience.

The staff were friendly and helpful. After we ordered our entrees they brought us a salad and a small appetizer. My grandchild (16) had the Tteokbokki, I had the L.A. Kalbi. We both rated our entrees 5/5. Atmosphere is extremely cozy and welcoming. Will be back.

Modoo Hansang serves up delicious and authentic Korean food! Located in a plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is really clean and nice looking with tons of tables and booths to sit at! My husband and I came on a weekend afternoon and the service was welcoming and friendly. We brought our 6 month old with us and they were so nice to him! He was all smiles! Tons of menu options to choose from! The summer cold noodles were super refreshing! They have excellent Korean fried chicken and beef dishes! I also really enjoyed the kalbitang, the soup was flavorful and the meat was tender. Their items come with banchan and there is such a tasty variety! Overall, a really great Korean restaurant that we would highly recommend checking out!

Located just South of downtown Bothell (in the same plaza as Potbelly) , this place offers fabulous food for a very reasonable price. We ordered the pork tonkatsu and a bowl of rice cakes. Shortly after ordering, our very nice waitress brought over side dishes, a bowl of fish cake soup, and four pieces of sushi appetizer. Everything tasted great. When the main entrees came out after 12 minutes, I was surprised at how beautifully plated they were. The taste did not disappoint either. Everything was finished within 20 minutes and we were very satisfied. The restaurant is clean, the service wonderful, and the owner generous. This place is definitely worth a visit.

This place is very clean, cozy, and friendly! They brought free appetizers - California roll, salad, and fish ball (Oden) soup. We ordered the army soup, and it was cooked in front of us. The army soup had a generous amount of ramen, sausages, spam, and veggies. All the side dishes and the soup were delicious yet healthy tasting. The service was nice and we had plenty of leftover soup to take home. I recommend this place for anyone who is looking for healthy and homemade Korean food!

I'm not sure how this place got the high ratings. As a Korean-food lover, I've been to many Korean restaurants, and this was probably the worst out of all (sorry!). I do have to first compliment on their service though. The server was great, very friendly, and got some crayons and coloring sheets for our kids. That's why it has a three-star and not a two. First of all, the side dishes were terrible. Side dishes are so important, and you can tell how good a Korean restaurant is for the most part just from the side dishes. Their kimchi and bean sprouts were just alright, the broccoli didn't have much flavor, the pickled radish didn't taste good, and the leaf vegetable (no idea what it was) was disgusting!! This place didn't have the good, classic side dishes like fish cake and braised potatoes. It's fine for it to be unique and have side dishes different from other Korean restaurants, but they need to at least taste good. I always get seconds for a few of the really yummy side dishes, but our entire table did not get any refills there. We didn't even finish most of them because they just didn't taste good. So disappointing. Now, for the main dishes, we ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings, roasted pork belly with veggies, and the LA Kalbi. Everything was average, portions were small, but SO expensive. We weren't even full afterwards. Such a waste of money! We did not enjoy our experience there. I definitely won't be back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Many other Korean restaurants have much better side dishes and good food with decent prices.

When we had left just a few minutes shy of 12pm, the restaurant was full and there were a few parties waiting outside. The staff were very attentive and would immediately replenish our radish if we were low. The jjamppong and jjajangmyeon tasted fine, if anything the jjajangmyeon was a little sweet. The fried rice however (without the jjajang sauce) was pretty bland and a bit dry. I don't know if it's intentional because they give the sauce on the side but I'd like to have the rice taste good without the assistance of the sauce. Other than the bland and dry rice, my only other nitpick would be that the jjajangmyeon came out a lot later than the other dishes. Otherwise we paid around $117 (without tip), for five dishes and two appetizers, which I think is pretty good for this area.

You really taste the spice if you ask for it. In long We've been talking about kimchi fried rice for 3 weeks, and finally got an order in. We're trying to cook at home more these days, but we opened the app and we were total suckers for the special. It was just a few bucks off, but when we built the order, it was 2-for-1, so we have an awesome pile of leftovers now. Showed up fast, still plenty hot. Kimchi fried rice Awesome chewy texture, great spicy tart kimchi flavor, savory fried egg on top with extra seasoning just on the egg. We got our 2-for-1 on the rice, and the portion is pretty big, so we will get at least 4 servings out of this. Tofu mushroom soup Ordered 4 stars, and there's actual noticeable kick to it, which not every place does. Excellent flavors. For $25, 2 little cups doesn't seem like much, so if I see that 2-for-1 again I might put it in on the soup instead of the rice. We're trying to think of delivery these days as a rare treat, and this place more than met the mark. We had a dozen other dishes in the cart before we could make up our minds, too. After ordering a beer/soju tower, our server asked for our IDs, which is completely understandable. However, she proceeded to examine them for an uncomfortably long time while repeatedly looking back and forth between my face, my ID, and my sister. She then told me I "don't really look like" my ID photo because my hair is different and even commented that my ID looked more like my sister than me. We're twins! At one point she had both of our IDs side-by-side comparing them while continuing to question things. I finally told her that while I understand validating IDs, the interaction was making me feel like the legitimacy of my ID was being questioned. What made it even more awkward was her repeatedly commenting that the tower we ordered was "a lot of beer," which honestly felt judgmental and unnecessary. We are clearly adults, presented valid IDs, and were simply ordering something from the menu. That said, the actual food was delicious. The BBQ combo we ordered was excellent, the sides were plentiful, and overall the meal itself was really enjoyable. It also seemed like the server realized the interaction had gone poorly because she later brought us complimentary soup and dessert, which we did appreciate. We still tipped well because we understand serving isn't easy and wanted to be fair. But honestly, the initial interaction left such an uncomfortable impression that if I returned and saw the same server again, I'd probably immediately feel uneasy. There's absolutely a professional way to verify IDs without making customers feel scrutinized or subtly accused of fraud.
