What a fantastic brunch experience. I stopped here with my wife and son a few weeks ago. We were actually late for a reservation, because I forgot about the time changing when we crossed into Michigan, however they were able to seat us. The restaurant and the patio are beautiful. We sat outside, which has a great view. Our waitress was prompt and professional. My wife had the avocado toast. My son had the pancakes, and I had the burger. I have to say, the burger is one of the best that I've had in quite a while. It was Juicy, and cooked perfectly, My wife and son liked there meals as well. Great restaurant on the waterfront of New Buffalo inside the Marina Grand Resort. They have a fantastic bar along with some of the best seafood in the area. While staying at the attached Marina Grand Resort, we stopped in for a drink. They strongly encourage reservations but they let us sit at the bar without one. The bartender was really friendly and checked on us often. It was beautiful inside and very dimly lit. They had a few crafted cocktails to choose from but a good variety of liquor options, beer, and wine to choose from as well. I had the Big Shot which was beautiful. The burnt tortilla chili salt rim was exactly that. I wasn't a fan of that, but it was pretty and the drink was still good. My brother had the Fortune Teller which he liked as well. read more

We got hungry and actually picked this place after I used my Yelp! App! This place won after my research. Great food! We split the mussels and fish and chips and both were delicious. The muscles were flavorful and came with two thick slices of fresh sourdough. The fish and chips were also a hit. They give you a few toffees for dessert and since it was my birthday they brought them out in a little tray with a handle. Cute! read more

The food was good - my husband had the fried chicken sandwich and I had the turkey bacon sandwich. Both came with fries. Our server was also very attentive. Amazing service! Julia made sure to take care of every possible aspect and went above and beyond to make it enjoyable for our group.

We were seated by the hostess and then immediately asked by another employee if we had been seated by the hostess with the implication that we had seated ourselves right off the beach. I will say that we were not in fancy clothing, but nothing inappropriate, and we got the strong sense that we were unwelcome and unwanted, and, generally, an inconvenience to all of the staff that we came into contact with. We walked over a mile to try this place out and decided to immediately leave and walk a mile back. I'd rather done at a place with staff that greets me warmly. read more

Love the menu here! When I'm away from home I like trying dishes I can't get at home. On vacation with friends and this is the first restaurant we tried. Wonderful variety of different dishes. For starters we went with the toasted cauliflower, mushroom toast and the beets. All were delicious and shareable for our party of six. The lobster pasta was delicious. Lobster roll wasn't a favorite and my friend loves seafood, growing up in Maryland, shes pretty picky. Homemade chips were good to me but not everyone. Fish and chips were good too. Had dinner with the family while staying at the Grand Marina hotel. The setting is really nice, right on the marinara with sun shades. Holy moly what a tasty meal. A coworker and I were traveling on business when we were lucky enough to read the reviews and a reservation was available. Parking was easy, the decor is beautiful, the view was calming, the food was near perfection. I'd order the chicken thighs weekly if I lived in the area, this dish alone made the meal worth the drive. I'm several days past dinner and I'm in bed at 10:30pm thinking that although Vegas is home and a great place to live, relocation for culinary bliss might be worth it. I really enjoy stopping by Bentwood Tavern while visiting New Buffalo. A friend & I like to visit for brunch or lunch on each visit. The property and location are lovely. Set off the main street and along the harbor, it just makes for a great start. Once inside the lobby of the hotel that is connected to the restaurant, the atmosphere is very low key. Soft muted earth tones and a minimalistic decor, it is immediately relaxing. Curved couches and low lighting create the perfect atmosphere. The hostesses at the restaurant seem ok. They do their job but are not overly invested. Our service at our table is sometimes a bit slow but that's ok. Who is in a hurry sitting out on a deck sipping a nice cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc or a mimosa?? Our server Kylie was exceptional. She was adorable, friendly and always smiling. She was efficient and remained attentive. I would like to sit in Kylie's section every time. The food and cocktails hold their own. I have tried their salads, omelets and desserts. At the recommendation of our hotel proprietor we headed over to Bentwood for brunch. What a phenomenal decision! I had the tavern breakfast add the breakfast potatoes. Everything was good. My eggs were cooked perfectly, the toast was homemade, so was the jam, and the bacon was sooo good!! The coffee was strong!! Thank you Bentwood for an amazing night out! We did a masked-up, socially-distanced friend weekend and were so thankful when we were able to call and make a reservation here. They have a big semi-private room and put our group at two separate tables. There was one other table in the room with us and each table was over six feet away from any others. Bentwood sent a reminder text the day before to confirm the reservation and was ready for us as soon as we arrived. It went super smoothly! The food was also great. There is a range of options and prices that will satisfy anyone in your group. You can get a burger for about $15 or a steak or curry chicken for over $30. The food is all quality, appetizing and well-made. Our table ordered a few delicious cocktails as well. Delicious! Our server was wonderful (wearing a mask!) and a 20% tip was automatically added on to our group's bill, which we would've done anyways.
