The food here is delicious and portions are generous. My family keeps coming back again and again. We have tried various pizzas, sandwiches and calzones and have never been disappointed. My son loves the nutella dessert pizza. I prefer this style of crust over some of the other local places. The family running the business is friendly and welcoming. Food is served quickly.

    Arugula white pizza

Absolutely the best pizza I've had in the area! Arugula was fresh and plentiful with imported prosciutto. Fox and Park soda as well as Coke products are also available. Menu also offer salads, pastas, sandwiches, and more. Family run, father and son on site. Will be returning soon!

    Large cheese

Excellent food and service!!! Arugula salad stole the show. Very kid friendly. Highly recommend.

I ordered a large cheese pizza, and it has to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char, not greasy at all, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every pie they make. It's that kind of pizza where you immediately know you'll be thinking about it later. Honestly, I wish my wife and kids were here to try it with me--they would've loved it. I'm from California, and I can say I haven't had many pizzas back home that compare to this. It's that good. In fact, I ended up coming back a second time before heading home because I just couldn't pass up another chance to have it again. That alone should say everything. On top of the amazing pizza, the employees were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it's a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. That kind of atmosphere makes the experience even better. If you're anywhere near the area, I highly recommend stopping by Fuoco Apizza. Whether you heard about it from Barstool or not, it absolutely lives up to the hype. You won't be disappointed.

I loved how inviting the dim environment with all their glowy lights was. I sat at the bar where this sweet bartender Liz helped me select a drink off of their extensive, delicious, looking creative menu. I started off with the cucumber gimlet given I needed something refreshing after running 3 miles. All the drinks were divine. The salad was perfect. I got my dressing on the side as well as their sweet citrus on the side but they know their stuff bc the cider vinegarette couldn't have paired better . I just say, and I feel this is most important other than the patient and menu guidance via Liz, this dirty pickle martini (which is subbed with gin) was the besttt martini I've EVERRRRRR had in my life. They make their own pickle juice here in house to mimic grillos pickles as much as possible. They are spot on, if not even better. I love this place. Everything about it is great, ambiance, staff, vibes, and most importantly their menu and the taste of their items in their menu. DIVINE. I will be back, maybe endlessly whenever I can . If you like New Haven style pizza, which is arguably the 'esemplare' of all pizza, then visiting The Little Rendezvous is a MUST visit if you live within 90-min. Plan a trip to visit some store you want to go to, a beach visit or whatever, just find a way to circle The Little Rendezvous into the trip! The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. Bucket-list item checked off! Overall score = 5.0!!!

As far as pizza goes, I have had the opportunity to sample most of the high profile places and understand why this place deserves to be on the list. The crust is pretty fantastic and overall a really good pie. When we went, there was no line. The grab and go was super simple, cash only. Order ahead, plan accordingly, and enjoy.

Hands-down the best gluten-free crust she's ever had. Perfect texture, great flavor, and it actually looked like real pizza -- crisp, golden, and not the usual sad cardboard situation you get at most places. I went classic with the pepperoni and it was unreal. Perfect balance of crispy edges, melty cheese, and that savory pepperoni kick. Everything came out fresh, hot, and honestly better than a lot of big-name pizza spots around here. Service was quick, the vibes were great, and the quality was top tier. If you're gluten-free (or even if you're not), Ritual Pizza is 100% worth it. We'll definitely be back.

The latter worked as the head chef for Krust Pizza & Bourbon Bar in Middletown. The venture initially started out as a pizza pop-up that would appear at various Connecticut breweries and festivals. The partners quickly gained a following with their delicious pies. One of the breweries that Ritual frequently crafted pizzas at was Labyrinth Brewing Company in Manchester. In November 2023, Ritual opened a brick & mortar location inside of Labyrinth complete with a new Pizza Master oven. Everything was going well for the pizzeria until a gigantic ball was dropped in July 2024 when Labyrinth announced that they would be closing their doors by the end of the month. For the rest of the year, Ritual went back to operating as a pop-up venture. In February 2025, Ritual opened their new brick & mortar location inside Counter Weight Brewing Company in Cheshire. In addition to their delicious pizza pies, the menu also consists of smash burgers, hot dogs, fries, and various small plates. My family and I tried out food from Ritual Pizza Co this past summer while we were at Labyrinth Brewing. We had stopped in for lunch after visiting a fire museum nearby. I had visited Labyrinth a few times before, but this was my first visit since Ritual set up their pizza kitchen there. I had been following them on social media for a while and I had been anxious to try their pizza. We decided to order and share the "Pepperoni" (shredded mozz, oregano, pepperoni) and the "Street Korn Pie" (shredded mozz, braised chicken, chunky bacon, ranch drizzle). We also ordered a side of "Mac N' Cheese" (mac n' cheese topped with toasted ritz crackers) for our younger son who prefers pasta to pizza. The pepperoni pie had some great sauce, crust and flavor. We mainly ordered it for our older son; pepperoni is his favorite. The one that really impressed my wife and I was the Street Korn Pie. It was an excellent fusion of Mexican and Italian cuisines; so much flavor! Just 10 days after our visit, Labyrinth announced that they would be closing their doors. Ritual soon released a statement announcing that they had every intention of reopening at a new location. I was so happy to hear that they have now reopened at Counter Weight and I look forward to eating their delicious pizza again!
