I love everything I have ordered from here, their Cuban, ficken chicken, their classic cheeseburger, and even their pretzel!!!

We loved their former location; Sled Haus in Lead so we were excited to try their new venture in Spearfish! They were out of several items but were accommodating otherwise; ranch, a beer on tap and not enough wings to complete a full order. We had the dry rub wings (8 wings for $15) and one of the Schnitzels ($28). Wings were delicious! The Schnitzel was underwhelming. Without the gravy the pork had minimal flavor and noodles just seemed like oily egg noodles not what I expected for "German noodles". The red cabbage was super flavorful and honestly the standout of the dish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The waitress was very attentive and the vibe is a moody modern eclectic atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If in the area I'd maybe stop back and try something else.

The food was not very good. And the service was worse we'll never go back. I see it's for sale.

Our server greeted us, but was very rushed to try to serve us. I explained I had never been there before and needed a few minutes to review the menu. We tried to give a drink order and she would run away before we could even tell her that we wanted an appetizer. when we would tell her, we would want one appetizer she tried to walk off before we could tell her our second appetizer choice. She was very friendly, but definitely was very rushed even though there were no other customers in the restaurant. If I would've known any better, I would've assumed she was busy trying to get to other customers. You get two free breads slices, but we ordered the appetizer it got for additional slices of the bread. I personally did not like it. It was very greasy. When I asked what it's made of it is imitation, crab, mayo, and cheese on top of bread. We also got fried okra as our second appetizer. I took pictures of the menu and the appetizers, but forgot to get a picture of our meal because I was so eager to try it. Our entrées were very delicious. I ordered snow, crab, shrimp, and scallops in a garlic butter sauce with no heat. The person with me order Dungeness crab, lobster tail, shrimp, and clams. We both enjoyed our entrées a lot. We will be going again sometime in the future.

My wife ordered the Chicken Primavera with gluten free penne, featuring grilled chicken, pesto, and carrots. It was excellent and easily the standout dish of the evening. I had the grilled salmon, which was cooked well and was also very good. As always, we put restaurants through a bit of a stress test. My wife has gluten and dairy allergies, while I manage Alpha Gal syndrome, a tree nut allergy, and diabetes. The kitchen was able to accommodate the gluten free pasta request, which we appreciated. The atmosphere is one of the restaurant's biggest strengths. The historic building and the old photographs covering the walls make for a fun dining experience and really add to the character of the place. Service was just okay. Nothing was wrong, but it also wasn't particularly memorable. One thing worth knowing before you go: the restaurant adds a 4% surcharge for credit card payments, so if you'd rather avoid the extra fee, bring cash. Overall, we will probably pick something else a try if we return to Deadwood. Worth it if you are heading there just for the historic atmosphere. Their signature cocktail menu included many different options. If you're ever in Deadwood, I highly suggest stopping by there. The service is also amazing.
