Taco Man Wedo here Food Discoveries and more . . …read more This is my second review. Yesterday, my Schnauzer Lola and I had a special day in Carpenteria & Ventura. Food: Rori's has the best tasting ice cream going on the Central coast and surrounding areas. I've been to the Ventura & Arroyo Grande locations and they are fantastic as well. They use high quality ingredients and you cannot go wrong with whatever you decide to order. They actually have chunks in their ice cream, unlike the overrated Handels. However, that's another story for another time. One of my personal favorites is the Pistachio Ice cream loaded with delicious nuts. The chocolate peanut butter is fantastic and the chocolate with chunks of fudge brownies throughout the frozen masterpiece. Muy Delicious! Service: The service is fantastic and they greet you with a smile and they are very accommodating and very dog friendly. Ambiance: The ambiance is not the greatest here and very small. It is a shared location with a Mexican restaurant. However, you're going here for delicious ice cream. Furthermore, they have tables set up outside on the sidewalk with umbrellas and it is usually shaded here with dog friendly people always walking by. I would like to see them eventually get their own stand alone place similar to Ventura with room to move around. I would give this place overall a 4.5 review due to ambiance. However, on Yelp they get 5 stars because half's don't exist. . It would be a sin to give them 4 stars here. 5 stars all the way. Rori Trovato has empire in the making. May God bless this place substantially. Cheers my friends!

One day the world will understand what I say to be true -- one day, Rori's will have its day in the sun. It's Q-U-A-L-I-T-Y in all caps. It's everything I could ever want in an ice cream. My favorite flavors are chocolate ice chunk, banana brown sugar, and salted caramel. 100/100 score. If you know, you know. P.S. Rori's makes McConnell's look like child's play. Many will disagree. But what can I say, I have a supremely well-refined palate.

I wanted to try some so we ordered 1, 5,8- Corolla, Americana, Portuguese. Luis told us he doesn't feel bad for charging more than others bc he puts more filling than dough. I honestly feel it's worth the price. You get lots of meat and stuffing in that crispy dough. Damn well worth the price. And it's a good size too, when you pick up the empanadas, it has a good weight to it. I was expecting a smaller empanada, but these truly make me feel like it worth the price. Luis has a tricycle he rides to bring you the order, which we thought was cool. My favorite was the Americana bc that gouda flavor was so tasty!

Totally worth the price, three whole ones would totally fill you up. My favorite is number 5 the Americana, it had bacon, smoked gouda and jalapeños....it was so flavorful and cheesy. Number 1 Criolla was my second favorite...mainly because I don't really like raisins in my savory type of food....but I didn't notice it that much. Number 8 Portuguesa was good too, a lot of meat and flavor...just not my favorite. We got this while we were at the Apiary tasting mead and cider.

It's probably the best meal for the money on the Central Coast, and my daughter will tell you they have the best clam chowder too. They're famous for their baked potato, which has the skin removed and this crispy fried outside. It's really good and unlike any baked potato you'll get anywhere else. The service is fantastic too. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel right at home, which really adds to the whole experience. Dinner also comes with a piece of homemade pie, which we almost always take to go because we're too full by the end of the meal. Clementine's is just a really unique place. You won't find another restaurant quite like it. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, and a great value. It's our favorite place to eat dinner in Carpinteria.

I told the owner, he was nice and understanding, took full responsibility for it-and said "they're everywhere." I appreciated his honesty. Western extermination had been trying to cure the problem, he said, but they keep failing They need to close down the restaurant and take care of this. As someone who has traveled to Europe many times and tried a variety of local chocolatiers there,…read morethe huge stream of 5-star reviews (and finding out the owners were French) had me ecstatic. However, my experience was disappointing. The two girls in the shop were almost asleep. One was barely conscious, the other was trying to make up for her. The chocolates looked very interesting, but they were rather dull-looking and often hard to differentiate because the display case had no lights. Add to this the already dim lighting of the store and that it was an overcast day outside, and it felt like trying to buy chocolates in an old library. As for the chocolates themselves, they did not taste like French/European chocolates at all; they had the very standard American chocolate taste-that is, Hershey-like and with no deep resounding real cacao flavor that is like bass from a speaker on your tongue. That's what real European chocolate tastes like. This was just sugar, sugar, sugar, and cute designs. Maybe they are using cheaper American ingredients rather than importing higher quality ones? No point in having the Eiffel Tower on your logo if you wouldn't be able to keep this store open in France. But the best part: the girl at the counter didn't let me try anything other than the three pre-selected types of bon bons on the sample tray! How cheap can you get? I've never had any chocolatier deny a sample of a simple truffle, especially not one with the gall to charge $3 per chocolate in a tiny town like Carp! $35 for a dozen, just to not even be able to try what you are putting in the box? You must be joking. Anyways, onto trying to find another good chocolatier in the 805...
