The menu at Bert's and the iconic sign.

Every single time I walk in I'm greeted by name. They get to know you they know their community. They are so kind on Valentine's Day. Dan was giving out yellow roses to women and children that just needed a smile. The food is amazing. It's always got great flavor. It's always fresh. The bread pudding is something new in the last year or so and it's perfectly portioned into muffin sizes and there's always a super amazing twist to it and every week it's something different but it's only one flavor a week a until it's gone... so don't wait! If you love Coca-Cola, you'll love hanging out and looking at all the memorabilia around this place it's just iconic if you are from the area, you know Bert's Chuckwagon is absolutely the place to be. I wish their hours were longer, but they're amazing and my kids absolutely love it!

The food was super good and quickly made. I got the brisket nachos! I am 35 weeks pregnant and the man cooking the food kindly told me I wouldn't be paying, but they still charged me, no issue though! Good service and super good food!

I had a vanilla malt. It was basic in a good way. Just what I want from a soda-fountain style place. I'll be back.

If you get a chance to say hi to the owner, Roger, make sure you do! Fast, great, cheap food. Definitely get enchiladas as part of your meal!!

    Super Mex Dinner

Went to check out Burt's Chuckwagon based on a colleagues' recommendation. We really wanted to like this place based on the reviews and we knew one of the guys working there; unfortunately, it just didn't deliver. We all got the same entrée, the Super Mex Dinner which comes with a taco, enchilada, burrito, tostada, frijoles, and Spanish rice for $10.29 (fountain drink extra). It just didn't deliver. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing was particularly good either. As a bonus, we each also received a free BBQ pork slider; this too was very dry and stringy. People obviously like this place as it has 4.5 stars, so I just don't know what happened. Maybe we'll try again and hopefully see what others are seeing, but it certainly didn't work for us this time.

The outside of the building is absolutely stunning with great art and decorations if it was so cold…read moreI would have eaten out here. The inside was very claustrophobic with tables all mashed together forcing you to sit shoulder to shoulder with the people around you. I ordered the torta with French fries cause I like to get a traditional Mexican dish but with an Americanized item too, I'm also a certified torta pounder. It wasn't too pricy but also not too cheap around 15 for the sandwich which tends to be around the average. Service wasn't to amazing got the order in fast and out but was forced to order the appetizer with my meal, and didn't get a refill of water until after I had already ate. I would definitely recommend as a place to eat but not necessarily the best. Personally I would wait for the summer just to eat outside. Last picture is proof of my certification.

This place is very cute. The vibe check is very good, unfortunately the food is just meh…read more I got the Baja fish tacos. There were no chucks of fish but rather flakes and it wasn't very good. I had to ask for limes! What fish tacos do not come with limes? The service was also very bad. Our food was served and then we had to find people to help us get half of the things we ordered. Then we were overcharged by $60 on our bill. So watch your bill, make sure you are not getting overcharged. I really like the place, it's so cute and the have karaoke but food and service need to be better.
