I literally walked in was assaulted by sales guys and simply asked a question, "what's the financing like on these bikes..." Sales guy, "oh give me 2 minutes to run your report, literally takes a couple minutes". me -"k" takes my debit card and ID... comes back after 20 minutes meanwhile he's trying to sell me on all the gear, even different bikes, just the whole situation... after this fucking jokesters run around, literally, i hear back that their interest rates are retarded... 15% and he goes on to tell me thats the lowest and they go up from their... total crap... Then i tell him i'm not interested, he then sends out the other "hard nose closer" to talk with me...( at this point i'm just asking for my stuff back which they kept) he comes out spews his BS about credit ratings and how i should buy now because my rating is going to plummet after requesting for this loan... i'm livid at this point... ( i basically tell him to go F himself and that i was never going to buy a bike that day... ) he looks at me like i killed his first born child. Worst experience ever with Joe Rodd, Tyler Middaugh, and Lucas! all of them are a bunch of LIARS!!!!! I called in and said I will not be able to come down there and they will have to deliver the bike to me. I also told them I am already approved from Honda financial for the bike and they have to just get a match call. they said no problem it will take a few minutes and they will deliver the next day with contract and everything. Sounded great to me! so I sent them all my info and the next day another one of their scam artists called me saying that my deal is pending and that I have to go down there to get a final approval and sign papers! this is bullshit because I deal with Honda financial everyday and I know how they operate! if they decide to do a phone interview with the customer they call the customer directly without even telling the dealership to prevent the dealer from coaching the customer on what to say. So after finding out everything about going in I was still going to go in and get it until I asked to go over the numbers again. we had originally settled at $10,490 out the door and the rate was 7.9% for 60 months. The finance manager told me that its $12,900 out the door and its a 19.99% interest rate!!! ARE YOU FRIKKIN KIDDING ME!!!!! after I gave them all my info these scumbags changed the pricing and everything and wanted me to go in so they can send a million salesman to try to convince me they have the best price! they Don't have shit but terrible customer service! will never think of calling this place again! and as for the customer relations rep who keeps commenting under every review saying sorry! I have been a loyal customer for berts sinse 2000 my las bike I bought in 2017 was a ttr 125 the bike was new and iy dint work after 6 months i had time to take it back they said it needed a carburetor cleaning they ended up needing a new pilot jet this bike is new and never been riging. They suck never going back or all my riding friends and family that I brought there. Also none ever cared to help or call back when they said they would. Gosh I wish my boyfriend had read these reviews before he got his bike here.... So we got a GSRX 2011 1000 (I hope that's right lol) everything was good until we finally left to go to our dinner reservations. He was on his bike and I was in the car ahead of him on the freeway, all of a sudden he calls me from the SIDE OF THE FREEWAY saying the clutch BROKE off!!!!! OMG my heart dropped I turned around and went back for him, he had already called Burts and they were sending a tow truck to pick up the bike. By this time Burts was closed already when we got back. They tell you they check the bikes for any problems when they first get the bikes and before they sell them. Well if that was the case you would have seen this broken clutch!! They do a Mickey Mouse inspection on these bikes. We get back to the store and ANOTHER guys is there because the bike he just bought that day the chain broke!!! O M G what a dangerous place selling bikes!! So I ask for the inspection paper from David and he can't find it. NOBODY can find it!! How unorganized is this place such a dump!! Finally it appears out of nowhere. Lance takes the bike back to fix it with the mechanic manager (ugh I forgot his name but he's a tall Hispanic guy) here it is already 8pm finally 845pm lance comes out saying they found the problem and will take the part FROM ANOTHER BIKE and put it on the bike we got! AGAIN MICKEY MOUSE SHIT HALF FAST JOB!! So when I'm telling David to refund my money for a face mask we got that day he wanted to get a SMART ASS MOUTH! So I told him to not speak to me! And nobody knew how to refund me my money, How rude I am so disappointed with this cheap half fast place!! Again lance comes out with the bike and the tall Hispanic guy is showing my boyfriend what they did ITS ALREADY 9pm and we live in Moreno Valley so I was there all damn night!!. I read the one star reviews on Bert's Mega Mall about their sales tactics of not giving prices and just trying to get you down there to run your credit so they can maximize their profits. So I decided to get a price quote at Mountain which they did with no problem then I called Bert's and they took 5 hours of giving me the runaround and tried to delay and just get me in so they could run my credit, all I wanted was a price out the door!!, oh yeah they also had an ad on the internet for a turbo razor side by side for $17,459 which they wouldn't honor salesmen was acting oblivious to it when that's his job to know everything there is about the product he selling. At the end of the day when salesman's are displaying that type of behavior it's because their managers and desk are a bunch of scumbags!! read more

Brought in my Yamaha scooter for a factory recall on fuel pump. Took 2 weeks to get part then 2 weeks after that for an appointment and another 3 days to put part in. I hate berts. I bought a brand new jet ski 2 months ago. A week after i purchased it i took it to the lake and something went wrong, oh so wrong. It was'nt properly inspected by the Berts mechanics. I immediately called berts and Tony told me to bring in in right away (he was very nice and polite) I told him that it was a 2hr drive and i would make it in time. So i call on Monday, 6 days later i get a call back from Sean/Shawn. He is the service "manager" . He was very rude. He was whistling and humming while i was taking! After i explained what happened he told me "now you dont expect the manufacturer or Berts to pay for this right?" I tod him that i had paid for extended warranty and he told me that the warranty was not going to cover anything. He said that he was going to have one of his drivers pick up the jetski that Saturday. It's been a month and i have yet to hear from him, the sales person or any other manager. My brand new jetski is just sitting here collecting dust. I'm making payments on something i cant use because Berts refuses to work on it. So, The extended warranty that the sales rep told me would cover just about anything, doesnt cover "everything' and you CANT use your purchased warranty until the manufactures warranty expires BUT the manufactures warranty ONLY covers part that they manufactured incorrectly. wtf? read more

STAY AWAY if you are trying to purchase gear or parts. I've experienced some of the worst service in retail here at Bert's. A friend once told me "This is where salesman come to die" and I don't think there is a comparison more true than that. They are unknowledgeable, inattentive, and their prices are texa$$$. Most recently I came to buy a new pair of gloves. They had all but one size out on display so the guy offered to check in the backroom for it. He disappeared for 20 minutes, meanwhile I see him assisting another customer that his boss ordered him to help. Thanks for forgetting about me. While I was hanging around waiting for him to come back, I overheard another salesman behind the counter giving VERY UNSAFE recommendations about helmet size for this new young rider. Yikes. I ended up walking out and going about my way. I've also come here for parts. If you do decide to get something from their parts department, be sure to bring in a price quote from someplace like Ronayers because they price match. It's ridiculous that they charge sometimes 40% more than other retailers. And take their delivery estimates with a grain of salt, as they don't always arrive on time. I want to give Bert's more credit but sadly I can't. I keep going there in hopes that I will find what I need or at least get some help finding a facsimile. I get ignored most of the time I'm there. The last visit was to find rain gear that fit. I'm short woman (5' 3"), I'm rather well endowed and I have a deceptively small waist. It's hard to find anything that fits comfortably and doesn't make me look like an over stuffed marshmallow. Apparently women don't ride in the rain so why would they carry ladies rain gear... I was trying on jackets while my boyfriend, who doesn't ride, browsed the store. Every 5 minutes an employee approached him to offer assistance. I was ignored. I had to hunt one down and follow him across the store before he acknowledged me. I asked about rain gear, he glanced around the store and said, "no we don't have any rain gear for women but the mens stuff is over there" he pointed, walked in the general direction, I said "oh those full body suits?" he said "yep that's it" and walked off. Called to just get a price on a motorcycle, just a price that's it, got transferred around 5 times and when I did get someone they where speaking to me like I was clueless. I simply asked for a price on a motorcycle and all they where concerned about was how much I am going to finance and what percentage I wanted to pay......hold up......all I want it a price I told their internet sales manager and was told in return I would need to discuses financing first then the price will be adjusted from there. This review is for the price i received for my rzr 4 800. I was referred to berts by few people and never had a problem. I always walked out of there with a awesome price and a good feeling. This time it was different. Long story short i paid $1400 over msrp which is partially my fault for not haggling and just walking out but nothing was really broken down for me, even during the signing of the paperworks..nothing was explained to me and broken down which led me to believe they were maybe hiding something. After getting an otd price of 1400 over msrp and getting basically nothing for my trade in ..which i kind of expected but not that bad i walked out of there not totally happy..but again thats partially my fault..but my main gripe is when i got home i checked the polaris website and discovered they were running their holiday sales event which applies rebates to certain models of rzrs. well guess what..my unit, a 2014 rzr 4 800, qualified for a $700 rebate. I telephoned kennedy the next day and advised him of the rebate and he told me it only applies to certain models. I then advised him my unit applies for the rebate according to the website. He then advised me the rebate was already factored into the price which is bs. if there was a $700 rebate, im sure they would have advised me and even written down on the purchase order which was not. I asked him why it wasn broken down in the purchase order and he said not to worry and that it was factored into the delivery and fees. i call bs i never received a rebate nor was told about any rebate. overall not happy with this purchase. i feel like i got ripped off. And keep in mind, I am a repeat customer.. I have bought quads, motorcycles n the seadoo I traded in from them.. Also i was referred to the certain person by the owner of proline wraps who does all their wraps on rzr. UPDATE: so I called the # that Bryce or Ron put on his reply and guess what.. BUYING A MOTORCYCLE (ask for LARRY, go home if he's not there, come back when he is): I bought a Ducati Scrambler Full Throttle here last year from LARRY who is a sweet, honest and all around lovely human being who got me a great deal on the bike. Like any car / motorcycle shopping experience, if it's too easy, you're really not getting any kind of deal. So of course we went back and forth a few times on the agreed price, but I have to say it was enjoyable because Larry was so professional, and made an exceptional offer I couldn't refuse. I went in on a Sunday evening, and all the banks were closing so I couldn't finish the deal, but we had it locked down. Returned the next day, wrapped it up and rode home on my most favorite motorcycle in the world. 5+ STARS. FIRST SERVICE: Any bike, but especially a Ducati needs specific service on a specific schedule. So I did my first service here, as they had THE BEST deal, Ducati Master Techs, and could do my service quickly etc. etc. etc. Overall got a great deal because I bought the bike there, but I'm not convinced it's the best place to bring Ducatis. Maybe they're great but their communication isn't really trying that hard to ensure that I'm a valued customer. Either way I prefer taking my bike elsewhere and would rather pay a little more to have a better connection to the crew who's working on my bike. 3.5 STARS. SHOP (ask for CESAR): I bought a summer jacket here and my first helmet which was the HJC FJ-17 (great first helmet if it fits your head well). The first girl who helped me did not size my helmet right however (I wasn't sure what exactly I needed, I was a brand new rider). Overtime, the helmet was ok but did cause pain from pressure on my forehead on longer rides. So exactly one year after buying a helmet that should have lasted me 5 years, I did way more research and knew I needed something different but not sure on what exactly were good options other than really expensive helmets. CESAR in the shop is the absolute most educated and helpful guy. Next time I go, I will call ahead to make sure he's there, as I wouldn't buy another thing from Bert's shop without Cesar's help. I tried on my current helmet in front of him and he inspected all the specific issues that were not working for me, basically the helmet was too big in the wrong area. I tried on maybe 4 or 5 new Shoei and Arai options, and he guided me through each fit to make sure it was the right one. I was never guided to the most expensive option, only to the best option for me (which was obviously more than the HJC family of helmets, but I was ready to make that investment). All of the past issues I had with my old helmet are gone and I finally have a helmet that actually is perfectly shaped for my head and riding style. 5+ STARS. Overall, Bert's is a great place to buy a bike and to buy gear. It's a little Walmarty with all the other stuff they sell like jet skis and it's not as sexy as walking into a Ducati or Triumph shop etc - but at the end of the day you know what bike you want and you want the best price. Walked in, greeted nicely... someone offered help and everything that store employees are supposed to do... including follow me like a vulture.. the pressure was on haha.. i mean it was nice for them to try and pick at my brain to get exactly what i was looking for but i wasnt "happy giggles" for any of the bikes there... especially the price on them.. so i called to see if they did any inspections on a bike and they direct me to a sales person ... the exact person i wasnt trying to get a hold of but i understand its a business.... explaining my situation to "chris" (was thinking of buying a motorcycle elsewhere and was wondering if they did inspections in case there is something wrong with the bike.) he asks year make and model... and price i was getting it for.. and says its probably a rip off............. yes chris, i understand it probably is.... that is why i was calling to see if you guys did inspections before i purchase the bike..... he then asked me "why dont i buy a bike in their store" .. i explained it was too pricey and for the price i would pay for their bike i could get an entire gear wardrobe, because i was planning on spending nearly 2000 on gear alone.... he tells me "why spend so much on gear when you could have a perfectly good bike for a little extra money", and i told him "Yes a good bike is always nice, but im not trying to die because of cheap gear" he then says "well if u need anything else my name is chris" then hangs up on me... well chris... thank you for telling me to call back tomorrow because i wouldnt be able to get my answer until then... you were very helpful on that part... i understand you have quotes that you have to hit.... i understand you have to make sales calls... i also understand that you really don't care for anyone else's interests but what i dont understand mr. This place is trash. I bought a Polaris RCR 1000 four seater for $23,500 out the door. After I paid cash, they told me I would be getting my side by side in three hours. As the time comes, they tell me it would arrive at 8pm so they would deliver it the next day instead free of charge. The next day comes and they never call to update me on the status. I call to see what was going on and they told me I would have to wait and MAYBE I wouldn't even be able to have it delivered Monday. Steve Peterson sales manager and JR sales rep were just playing games. They do not keep their word but are fast to charge the money. Bought a new orange Yamaha YXZ on Nov. 10. Completed purchase on a Thursday night-signed purchase agreement and loan docs. Took 3+ hours. Was told pick up tomorrow. Received a text Friday morning at 10am from Gerardo to pick up at 6p. Then received a call hours later from Marco at 1:30p that they made a mistake and sold me a Yamaha that was ALREADY SOLD on Tuesday and not in their warehouse anymore. Then why did Gerardo text me at 10am that we could pick up at 6p? Marco said they didn't have another orange one. Offered me a blue or yellow one for more money! Ended up settling on the blue one. Although they were apologetic and friendly, won't ever go there again. They don't have their act together after how many years of business. On both nights we purchased and signed loan docs, we dealt with at least 5 different people all night vs. one. read more

Well, I had a good experience buying a new Yamaha sport bike at Bert's (first bike, so I brought along an experienced negotiator) - although I had my guard up after reading other reviews here. The service department, however, left much to be desired... I brought in my bike to have something fairly simple taken care of (which required removing the seat), and when they were done they installed the seat wrong. No big deal in and of itself, but what they did required them to force some parts to fit in an unnatural way... to me, this implies two things: a) they were unfamiliar with the bike (hard to believe) b) they didn't care enough to take two minutes to either look at the manual or ask someone else In any case, I don't trust my bike to technicians that are willing to just wrestle parts together if they don't seem to fit. A never ending disappointment!!!!! If you purchase a boat at Berts make sure you get boatside assistance and get ready for the ride of shame to the docks. My family purchased a used Yahama AR 230 in 2012 with extended warranty. The first summer we took the boat out it was overheating. One or both motors would shut down in the middle of the lake or river. We took the boat back to Berts to have them fix the problem. Her were all the excuses we received in the matter of 2012 to present. Just needed a tune up. We paid for that. $$$ Then it was the thermostat. We paid for that. $$$ Then it was exhaust manifold. We paid for that. Somewhere around $1,000 We paid for them to lake test. So we wouldn't spend our money and time trying to vacation only to be stranded in the middle of the lake. They said the boat ran perfectly. They also stated it had a piece of bark that they got out. The first hour out on the water my family was strained. By this time the three year extended warranty was up. Last and final time we dropped off the boat due to the same exact reason we had the first summer. The case and the valves need to be replaced. This would of been included in the warranty but since the warranty is expired all the sudden it's the motor. They want to charge 6,600. On top of this we had taken the boat to other mechanics and to no avail the boat never ran properly. If only the lemon law could apply. My family has several off road vehicles and spent lots of money with Berts over the years. We of course will take our business elsewhere. Needless to say this has been the worse experience and waste of time with never ending trips back and forth to Berts trying to get the boat running. It's been a nightmare. So it's time to cut our losses and upgrade to a better boat and company. read more

DO NOT GO! I have a long list of problem with this place and the motorcycle i bought Hyosung gt250r. Bought the bike NEW "ON SALE" for $2800 on the yellow tag, in the end with registration and all the paperwork for the dmv etc... it came out to more than $4000. I probably should've take care of the paperwork myself to save some. Now let's start with the problem with the bike: I WOULD LIKE TO SPECIFY THAT I AM AN ELECTRICIAN AND MECHANIC SO I TAKE CARE OF MY BIKE, ALWAYS CHANGED OIL AND FILTER WITH FULL SYNTHETIC OIL AND K&N FILTER EVERY 2000 MILES, ALWAYS LUBED THE CHAIN WITH MOBIL RACE CHAIN LUBE EVERY 400 MILES AND DID ALMOST ALL THE SERVICE MYSELF ON TIME. After 4000 miles or so the chain started to get loose so i adjusted 4-5 times until after 1000 more miles i reached the end of the adjustment and brought it in to get it changed. I have warranty so i expected from them to replace it for free. They told me that the chain is something that wear out with the time so it is not considered a broken or defective part, just like a spark plug or the oil filter you need to change it as regular maintenance. Now, I NEVER HEARD FROM ANY BIKER THAT THEY HAD TO REPLACE THA CHAIN AFTER 5000 MILES. They last way longer, it never happened to me neither, the earliest it ever happened was 10-15 thousand so i believe that we have a DEFECTIVE PART and not a REGULAR MAINTENANCE. They told me there was no way HYOSUNG was gonna replace it under warranty. I bought a DID chain on eBay and installed it myself Now let's go to step 2. I had a problem with the side stand kill switch. It would just turn off the bike at a stop light for no reason. Brought it in, they realized I was right and they kept the bike to fix it under warranty. They gave me an ESTIMATED TIME FOR REPAIR OF 7-10 DAYS cause the part needed to come fro HYOSUNG Korea. IT TOOK 2 WEEK ONLY TO GET THE PART. Last one today. I needed the washer for the front sprocket. They said they have it new. I send my wife to pick it up and bring it over. When i got it it was inside a ziplock with a part number so i assumed it was new, then when i took it out i realized it wasn't new at all. You can definitely tell it's a used washer. scratched and dent. I took pictures of it then called Berts and they told me "if you bring it back I'll give you a new one" and I'm like "if I don't install it I can't come over there so how can i give it back to you if I already put it in?". This place is huge and you might expect a decent deal and great customer service from a large dealer as Berts but you would be wrong. We found the used bike we were looking for only to realize that Berts was asking over $1000 over blue book! When I asked the salesman about it he stated that they use NAADA, thanks to my I phone I found out that suggested retail price was $500 difference from Kelly Blue Book. We negotiated the price down the best we could but we still went over budget by $200 bucks. We wanted the bike since we couldn't find another in the same condition. After the sale they ship you over to a guy that's suppose to go over the functions of the bike. Well he couldn't get the ignition key to work properly and explained to us that you had to "wiggle" it to get it to work. I expressed my reluctance to accept this and demanded they fix it. After another 90 min of discussion I received a "bill due" to replace the ignition but with the exclusion that they would not re- key the other locks on the bike to match. Again I expressed my displeasure and asked for the manager. 30 mins later Berts agreed to fix it. But my saga isn't finished, Berts agreed to call us on the following Monday and let us know when the part was coming in and set up an appointment for the work. Of course we hadn't heard anything by Wednesday and I stared to call. I finally talked to thier "internal service" guy and he was suppose to set up an appointment for the next Saturday because he expected the part on Friday. I called on Friday to verify the appointment and of course nobody knew what was going on and this knuckle head was off. So I asked for the service manager but he was on break so I next asked for the store manager but he was at lunch. Now I'm pretty livid and wish I could undo the deal. Finally I get a lady that confirmed that the part was there and could set the appointment. Now this lady informs me that "tech" doing the work comes into work at noon on Saturday. What the f $#&k! Who starts thier day at noon only to go home at 6pm! Who runs this place? And of course there isn't anybody else that can perform the work. Terrible terrible. Just bought a pwc last week. Andrew in sales is nice when you buy something (of course everyone who sells something is, any buyer is aware of that) but after you call and ask something he's a smart ass about your problem. My family has decades of experience in car sales/finance. Have some respect for your customers berts! Warranty that was sold by finance is a fake lying scum (I'll update his name later.) I bought a warranty being sold on it when he said in case my pwc sucks up rocks it's covered. It happened unfortunately, and what do you know... It's not covered. I Read the reviews here before going to bert's ... I wish I had listened. Let me just say I'm not easily angered or offended by bad customer service experiences, I understand things happen out of their control, bad days , etc.(I've worked in sales before). SO, I went in on Sunday wanting to purchase a Ducati scrambler, I knew it was the bike I wanted and just wanted to see what the numbers looked like. Well the bike wasn't there and I thought, "i can wait", Jay took care of me and put me through with financing and everything looked decent. Jay seemed like a nice dude and promised to keep in touch on the status of my bike starting the next day because he could see i was excited to have it and he was excited to sell it. So, I left a deposit for the scrambler they had coming in and went about my day. Monday came and I didn't receive a call, "okay, probably busy day". Tuesday came, still no call... "people forget...maybe tomorrow". Wednesday was the worst... My baby Grom was stolen from my apartment in the afternoon. WELL F&*K, now I have no bike, no transportation. I thought "Well, at least I have my Ducati coming in, now if only i knew how much longer It will be". Gave them a call and Jay wasn't in, so they were gonna get the manager... which turns out to be busy with a customer and so the front desk told me he would call me back. NO CALL RETURNED the rest of the day. Thursday, SAME THING, so i called again. Jay and the manager were in but no one was able to take my call, so I was told again i would get the call returned this time... NOPE. The hell with Bert's, looked around my area for other ducati dealers, found Pro Italia, went down, bike needed to be prepped, sales man kept in contact the next day about the status, then had it arrive the following day.
