They had the microwave we originally wanted , gave us $20 off , and it will be here in a week ! Terrible experience at this Best Buy. I brought my young son in to buy a Pokémon product and was told that kids are not allowed to purchase Pokémon. While we were still in the store, we watched other families buy the same product--including a 10-year-old child--and saw people looping back to rebuy. The policy was clearly inconsistent. When we questioned it, the manager mocked adults for buying Pokémon while at the same time refusing to sell Pokémon to kids, which made no sense at all. The situation escalated further when he told us to "get the F out of the store" in front of my child. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate. I followed up afterward and received only a generic response about an "internal review," with no real accountability. I went to three Best Buys, one of them three times to browse higher end TVs and was unable to find anyone knowledgeable enough about model specific tech, or that even seemed moderately interested in selling me one. All were nice enough, but none seemed to know much more than brochure differences. I walked into the El Cajon store on an after dinner whim, and met Wade. Wade was up to speed across all brands, knew the technical differences between all the models, picked my brain and was able to make the right recommendations. Moreover, he was enthusiastic about selling me one, while also forthright enough to tell me the one I I would be most happy with wasn't even in stock. He also provided his cell for any future questions, or to help with returning it should I have buyer's remorse. After a day of digesting, I drove back to El Cajon, a significantly longer drive than two other stores, or the convenience of buying it online, to buy it from him. He told me to just buy the fan on Amazon and do it myself. I asked him a couple simple questions and got "yeah, I've got a bucket of screws but I don't know," plus he had no idea what anything costs unless I buy a $200 Best Buy Plus membership first. So I kept my appointment just to be told to go elsewhere and pay them for the privilege of asking. If you need actual help, look anywhere but here. I came here to buy a desktop computer for my mom. The girl who helped me her name was Natalie. She was fantastic. There was one computer I considered, that was an open box that she gave me a very good price on. I asked her. If she has anything that I could clean the screen with just to make sure it wasn't scratched or damaged she went and got me a microfiber cloth and some cleaner in the end, I ended up getting something else new in the box but she definitely went the extra mile. Went to Costco. Spent 900 on a very nice TV and they even enlighten me about the refresh rate that I had no idea what that was. Well I came in to look at a TV with my wife, strictly to look! But while we were looking we were approached by a sales rep Joaquin Gonzalez. He was the best sales person by far in that department. We had several questions and he answered every single one of them. We were originally looking at other brand TVs be he recommended the Samsung Frame TV which of course that's what the wife wanted in the first place. Once he showed it off and how you can change the frame we were both sold on it. It was a bit out of the price range but he pointed out that they had an open box of it which was a couple hundred dollars off. In addition they had a sale of the picture frame speakers which ended that day. They were half off and I can't resist a good deal, so I got a pair. If it wasn't for Joaquin I would not have bought anything that day especially the picture frames. He was not pressuring us or anything like a typical sales person. He was extremely patient and understanding. You can tell he enjoys his job and making customers happy. Compared to some of the other people it that department.... Overall Joaquin is an A+++ salesman and I highly recommend asking for him if he's working that day. read more

Walked into Best Buy with my boyfriend to return an unopened phone case I bought a little over two weeks ago. Still sealed, nothing wrong with it, and I had the receipt. He was literally about to buy a laptop while we were there. They refused the return. Few days past their 14-day policy. I stood there while the cashier counted the days. I come to Best Buy to buy big tv. Me and all my friends went and spent around 7 hours there. It was a whole day event and we even brought sodas and candy. After we selected the tv we met some workers there and started discussing Elden Ring play through strategies and then Pokemon Fire Red. This lasted for around 2 hours and was a highlight moment. Walked in looking to buy an after market car stereo. I found a group of staff and asked for assistance. I was told to meet someone specific in another area they didn't know about it. I waited about 30 minutes. I was referred to a product and was surprised the the advertised $300 stereo that included installation was actually $800 with all the additional accessory that you have to buy. I went ahead with the order and used the financing option with 0% interest for a year. That took another 30 minutes to enter. Turns out, my information was not entered correctly. My card was sent to the wrong address. I called the company to update the address, I was told I couldn't do that over the phone because my phone number wasn't listed in correct line as a mobile number. I had to drive from Julian to Best Buy in El Cajon to have customer service add my mobile number to the correct line. Basically 2 hour drive for a simple entry. When I called back I was told the phone number was not updated and I still could not access my account. The issue still isn't resolved, super frustrated. Do NOT buy the extended warranty. We bought a Bosch dishwasher from Best Buy, and the 5-year extended warranty. When the dishwasher stopped working today, I tried to get someone to come out to fix it. First you have to get past the AI chatbot that confused dishwasher with washing machine, then got a live chat agent who *slowly* processed the request. Then the final straw was that it would take 6 days before they could get someone out to fix it. I wouldn't ever buy the extended warranty again. I called Cox Cable to come and take a look at my TV. I had sound but the screen was black---not even a "menu" was visible. My cousin Lisa thought it might me the cable box. The technician checked everything very thoroughly and determined it was the TV. Accordingly, I headed down to Best Buy in El Cajon. The branch closer to me in La Mesa closed down and is now a Frazier's Farms Grocery Store. When I walked in to Best Buy El Cajon, I advised the female greeter that I needed someone to help me. She replied that I should proceed to the very back of the store where the televisions are located and someone would come to assist me. Took my computer in on Saturday without an appointment. It just quit working while I was listening to music. I had to wait while others with appointments were helped. (no problem) A young man named Chris helped and was very courteous. It turned out my power supply had failed. It was an older PC so I bought another same day. I ordered a black steel color LG dryer through the store a month ago, the problem is they sold me a sealed box with a different color LG dryer in it graphite gray. When I called the store and let them know they told me that they would charge me money to come pick this one up and deliver me the correct one when it comes in. PICK UP ORDERS ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK! In November, I purchased a television through Amazon, fulfilled through the El Cajon Best Buy. I purchased it on a Friday morning and was told it would be held until Wednesday. That Sunday, I went to pick up my television at the El Cajon Best Buy. To my surprise, I was told that someone else picked up my television. First I was told it was given to someone who claimed to be me. Then I was told it was someone who said they were a friend or family of mine who picked it up. In both cases, I was told that someone had stolen my identity by showing a fake ID with my name on it and that I had to wait until further investigation. After over an hour of waiting and trying to figure out what happened while the Best Buy associates investigated, I had to leave. I was not given a phone number, a name of someone to contact later, or anything! I was simply told they will continue to investigate the situation. Weeks passed, I tried at least a half a dozen times to contact Best Buy and since there is no direct number to the El Cajon Best Buy, I had to contact their corporate office. Though I was told by at least 2-3 representatives that I would be contacted within 24 hours by the manager at that location, I never once received a call. I also left three voice messages at the phone number of the El Cajon location, but never once received a call back. At the El Cajon Best Buy, there were no real attempts to resolve the issue. And my attempts over the phone were simply ignored. Thank goodness I purchased the TV through Amazon. I was in contact with them throughout and after a long investigation, they finally refunded me through their A-Z Warranty. I will never shop Best Buy again. Out of principle, for not taking my case seriously and for completely ignoring the situation in my several attempts to contact the El Cajon store. I know that if I purchased it solely through Best Buy, I would be out $211 AND the situation would've caused much more stress, wasted time and energy. I cannot recommend shopping at the El Cajon Best Buy. Not only do the customer service representatives not care if someone else takes your order, but they will not genuinely attempt to resolve your issue and if you try to contact them, they will ignore you! read more

A year later found a 200 dollar charge. Cancelled it and only got 150 back. If you want to talk to their customer service in person they are useless.
