About three years ago, we did some renovations in our kitchen. We decided to replace our oven. We did research on what to purchase and started looking at ovens in our local appliance stores. Without a doubt, we had the best experience at the Framingham Best Buy. The salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable without being overbearing. We also purchased a range hood. Both products were delivered as promised with no damage. When the hood arrived, it had the wrong exhaust kit. When we called the store the salesperson immediately ordered the correct kit with no charges and delivered to our home in a timely manner. The store also offers price matching. We couldn't be more satisfied and highly recommended. read more

Bought a beverage cooler with professional installation, they took three weeks to deliver and it does not work, a replacement won't be available apparently for weeks and even for some one to come and take a look at the product apparently will be 10 days. Trying to get out of a really bad experience after they got $1600+. Once they take money, forget about anything else to get things right. Purchased a range at Best Buy. The tag on the range said it was a discontinued model. I also paid one hundred fifty dollars for the installation. When the gas range was delivered it was found to be damaged the deliverer/installer said Best Buy would take it back with no problem and he would install the new range as the old one was at the curb, upon installation he noticed the shut off valve was not up to code and he'd have to change it to the tune of one hundred dollars. Seems to me I paid for the "installation" of the range at the store, one hundred dollars for a ten dollar part. Called the store and was informed this was a "damaged" range. There was no mention of damage to the unit upon purchase it was stated that this was a discontinued model. He said he'd take fifty dollars off, wow. As it stands now they are going to take it away and I'll visit one of the myriad of other stores in the area. I have bought three tv's, a Mac and a few laptops from Best Buy and never had a problem but you can be assured I'll never step foot in that store again! If only there were zero stars to give you. Bottom line: Had an IPhone in with a cracked screen. $29 to be fixed under AppleCare+ but no appointments at the Apple Store that holiday weekend. So I took it to the authorized service representatives at the Geek Squad - bad bad decision. Two days later I had to go back to the Apple Store with a phone that had a new screen but whose logic board had been screwed up by the Geek Squad techs. Apple then had to give me a new replacement device. Nice job Geek Squad! If not for Apple Care I would have gone to the mall and had one of those kiosk guys fix it competently. They at least know what they are doing. The whole Geek Squad experience is so bad that it needs to be examined by corporate. I came in at my scheduled appointment time which was around 12.30. The agent who checked me in was very nice but already was being hampered by the systems they had in place. No matter what he did he could not get Best Buy's internal system (Nova?) to recognize that the device was covered by AppleCare so it kept wanting to bill me $149 instead of $29. Now usually a competent company would allow their rep to override this and charge me the proper amount but no such luck here - Best Buy was never going to let its agent charge a lower price than the computer wanted to charge. So after about 30 minutes of trying, he called over a manager and asked that she ring me up for $29 and let me go since I was definitely covered. This manager was not sure she could do that so we called another manager. That manager wanted the agent to try some internal help line (Bridge?) so I had to wait another 15 minutes before the agent came back and said Bridge was no help, but now the manager had gone elsewhere in the store. Page him again, then wait 10 more minutes before he comes back, finally rings me up for $29 and I leave 2 hours after I came in with an appointment for 8 pm to pick up my phone. I come back at 8 pm, ask for my phone and am told they are still working on it. Curse under my breadth but wait for a bit then someone comes out and says they replaced the screen but can't get the phone to turn back on. Can I come back at 4.30 the next day so another tech can work on it. Okay, i say, but why did you not call me to say it was not ready given that you had given me a specific time to pick up. " No idea why but we'll make a note to call you tomorrow if its not ready". I show up at 4.30 pm the next day and am told, nope, phone will not start no idea why. Did anyone call me to say it is not ready? No of course not, why would the customer need to know such trivial details. They want to keep the phone longer and "We may have to send it into Apple and see what they can do". At this point I have lost all faith in both technical expertise and customer service of the Geek Squad so I take the phone back from them and go to the Apple Store. The Genius Bar guy there takes the phone and says the screen was plugged in completely wrong by the Geek Squad tech, tries to remedy the situation but says that the repair has been butchered and they give me a new phone. How the Geek Squad is an authorized Apple repair service is beyond me. I hope Apple audits the repairs done at the Geek Squad and delists them as an authorized service representative. The techs are not well-trained but the real issue is the corporate culture. These people are not motivated, not given the tools and basically make a living transferring files of old people from one computer to another for $100 (although even that is not done well - one couple who had just bought a new computer at BestBuy were told it would be 10 days before data could be moved from their old computer to the new one!!!). Again I put the blame on corporate not on the agents, they can only do what they have been trained to do. Whatever you do do NOT go to the Geek Squad. If you are under warranty go the Apple Store, if you are not under warranty go to the repair guys at Mall kiosks. Even if you watch YouTube and do it yourself you will end up doing better than this. I will never go to BestBuy for help ever again and I pity anyone who buys annual service contracts from them read more

I was a loyal Best Buy customer - but after this last experience, I'm never going to shop there again. I had spent $2K plus on TV, Geek Squad - they canceled their install and said would call to reschedule - still have not heard from them - when I called in Geek Squad they cannot reschedule - but when I asked to cancel my order - they said they could do that!!! There were so many employees involved in the purchase of my camera but the main players were Marilyn and Osama. They went above and beyond to help me get the camera that I wanted. Best Buy should be very pleased to have these two employees who care about their customer service. I placed an order early last month and received several emails and telephone calls saying that my order would be delivered between eight and noon on Wednesday. I stayed home and waited from eight until noon on Wednesday but there was a no-show. I called up to cancel my order and then learned that I had been placed on a reschedule delivery status. No one called to let me know that I had been placed on a new delivery schedule status and therefore I wasted the morning.I had to cancel my order because now I can't believe in the integrity of the store. this best buy takes the prize for the worst customer service i've ever experienced. it started when i went to exchange a week old digital camera that had a glitch. according to their return policy, full refunds are given for defective cameras but of course, it wasn't that easy. i wanted to exchange my camera for a different brand since i didn't want to risk having the same problem. i walked in with the model # of the new camera i wanted in but was told it wasn't in stock, so i asked for a full refund instead. the "returns guy" refused, and suggested i just exchange it for the same model with the addition of an extended warranty. then he straight up accused me of tampering with my camera! his reasoning? he owned the same camera and his had never given him any trouble. as this guy was speaking to me, i found myself transforming into one of those crazed angry customers that i didn't even know i had in me. after some shouting and arguing, suddenly, a new shipment of the new camera i had asked for just happened to come in! wow! what are the chances, right? read more

Terrible company. Took a day off work for a treadmill delivery. They pulled a no call or a no show . I lost a days pay over this . When I eventually got through to someone they informed me they didn't even have it in stock yet . They told me they MAY have it in a few days and gave me a 9hr delivery window . I had a lot of faith in them and I signed up for delivery and installation with Geek squad too. After the no call etc I requested a refund as I didn't want to loose another days wages from their negligence. I would like to add that my wife has purchased many cameras and lenses etc and we have bought a lot of other items annually from them . The last delivery was not great either fridge was scratched and the team were a rough bunch . I went to buy an iPad here also in Framingham with $500 + to spend and I couldn't get anyone to serve me . One kid said he would be Back to me shortly it 30 mins later still no service . I eventually called manager and I couldn't understand how they were so incompetent. Hate to be negative and talking bad about a business but it's the truth from my experience. I bought a Dynex TV from best buy not even a year ago. I also purchased a 4 year warranty for the TV. A few months ago the Tv started to issue a weird high pitched sound that sounded like your ears were ringing (but it was the TV). I brought my TV in to the store today and even though I had a warranty, they refused me service. They also refused to make the situation any better and the managers argued with me. I have never been so angry in my life and now I am calling corporate and they are giving me the same BS. I recently purchased an HP Omen Desktop in late May. I didn't get a chance to set it up and use it until July. At that point, I realized I didn't get the model with the GeoForce 1070, but the the 1060 . I was past the 15 day return policy and wasn't sure what I was going to do. The manager and supervisor allowed me to exchange it and put the credit towards a purchase of the higher end model. The staff tries, but the store is not anything special. They have a decent selection of video games at reasonable prices. That is just about the only thing that keeps me coming back. Returning things can be a hassle, so I wouldn't recommend making any expensive purchases from them. I'm not sure if its store policy or the employees, but they will give you a hard time even if you are reasonable with them. Finally, after explaining to the manager that I just wanted to exchange my item for another one I was able to do so, but it shouldn't take 20 minutes of fighting to get a simple exchange done. I can see why Best Buy is slowly going out of business... When you go to a store ready to buy something that you know you want it shouldn't be a challenge to purchase something. I went in last week to drop $700 on a new Surface. What did I get instead? Absolutely no customer service. So, I waited 45 minutes until someone was available. After waiting so long I went up to customer service thinking that I don't need help figuring out what I want, I knew what I wanted, I just wanted to buy the dang thing. Then, the clerk went to get someone and that person went to grab another person and they were having a conversation over who has the key to the back room. Instead of figuring it out, they told me to wait a little longer. I'm not impatient, I've been waiting for over 50 minutes now! So I walked out absolutely furious and I still am, one week later. These are poor sales people who are seriously hurting the business by driving customers away. I will NEVER go back to this Best Buy or maybe no other Best Buy again. Instead, I gave my business to the Windows store at the Natick Mall. They were MUCH more helpful and the Best Buy workers should take a lessen from them. read more

I often use store pickup at Best Buy, as it's convenient to run in and get your order. Unless it's the holiday shopping season. Went in twice before Christmas and was shocked how bad store pickup is. Very disorganized - not enough storage for items (I was very po'd to have the Xnox One I was picking up - sitting on the floor). The past two days I received the worst customer service from a geek squad technician that I have ever received in my life, about a week ago I set up an appointment through Apple to get a phone I recently purchased off a friend serviced since it was having a screen issue that Apple themselves told me was covered under a extended warranty since it's a well known issue with that model phone, since all of their locations are currently closed they are only giving people the option of either sending their device out to them or going to a Apple certified repair facility and getting the issue taken care of, at which point I decided to take the repair facility option since it made the most sense to me time wise, I decided to use Best Buy Framingham as a facility since it was the closest to me. So now fast forward a week my appointment is here and the day before I receive a call from geek squad to confirm the appointment with me and the gentleman on the phone procedes to inform me of what do I need to bring in with me to get the phone serviced and their safety procedures they are implementing at the moment due to the virus, after he concludes informing me of those things I proceeded to let them know my situation since I just purchased this phone of a friend and the touch screen was not working so the phone couldn't be reset, then the gentleman tells me that my friend would need to be present just in case they need any information from him which I understand and at that point I told him that I could have my friend via FaceTime during the whole time just in case they needed any personal information from him and the gentleman says in a very rude way that no, my friend needed to come in himself and get it done because they are not willing to wait for someone to answer the phone while they have other customers there waiting to receive their services, at which point I proceeded to let the gentleman know that to avoid that from happening that my friend was willing to get on the phone with me before I even approached the store and stay on the phone during the whole procedure and the gentleman kept arguing with me repeating himself, now moving on to the next day I arrive to the store and as stated I had my friend on the phone and I approach the designated area for service and the gentleman taking care of me this time proceeded to ask me if the phone was still under warranty and I said no and explained to him my whole conversation with Apple and that they told me it was a known issue with that model phone and they offer a extended warranty for that particular issue I'm having with this phone at no cost to the customer, then he proceeded to argue with me saying that Apple was wrong that they do not do that or offer any extended warranty. I then proceeded to tell the gentleman that why would Apple tell me that they do something and it not be true? Then he said that they do not know anything of what's going on with the phone because they didn't run a diagnostic on the phone and that they lied to me, mind you the diagnostic of the issue is very simple, the screen isn't receiving input so it lights up but when you touch it it does not respond, then he said that he was going to go and run the diagnostic and come back, he left for 5 minutes then he came back and said that they weren't going to cover it under warranty and that I had to pay for the fix of the device, so I ended up walking away and wasting 45 minutes of my very busy day for nothing. Now 30 minutes later I had the issue solved by Apple, I will have to end up sending my device out to them for service and not have to pay anything in order to get this issue that is under warranty fixed at the expense of 2 weeks being lost from me being able to enjoy using my new product, I would never recommend anyone to use their Apple repair services ever because you will be getting ripped off by these people, you will be better off sending it straight to Apple because 1. They will treat you better on the phone and be more helpful trying to get your issue solved and 2. You will not waste your time waiting for an appointment for them to tell you they can't help you with your issue. read more

IF I could give Zero stars I would! Every interaction with this store is terrible. Many of the employees are rude, lazy and don't know their job. They screwed up one phone and when they gave me the replacement the protection plan got left on the old one which I continued to pay but when I went to get the 2nd phone repaired they found there was no plan on the phone. Store did nothing to fix the phone or take responsibility for the situation. FINALLY spoke to Supervisor at BB Corp and Caesar refunded my payments to the protection plan and a $100 gift card. I went to get my new phone set and the Geek Squad guy and rude to me and said I needed an appointment and when I explained that Corp had called earlier about my case he still won't do anything and I asked for the Manager. He left me standing there for 10 mins and never called the Manager over. A guy who a spoke to the first time I was there said I should just go over to the Verizon store area. Why the first Geek couldn't tell me .... I have had several problems with this store over the years and I would tell folks to make the trip to Watertown where they are much nicer and more competent. When I was waiting at Geek Squad I spoke to another woman who had her Nook sent out there and they had input the info wrong and now they didn't know where it was! STAY AWAY!!! read more

Like Jennifer, I am also a bit biased. I have worked at Best Buy for over 3 years. I have always worked in the cellular phone department, now called Best Buy Mobile. Upon my departure 2 months ago, I can honestly say that at Best Buy Mobile you will get the best service and prices around. All of the associates know what they are talking about and we had to be properly trained. The employees are non-commission so they have no interest in screwing you over. The manager of Best Buy Mobile is always willing to work with you and assist you on prices, service, or just questions. I really do not see why I would go anywhere else to buy a phone ever again. She told there was no reason why it kept cancelling on me. She said she put the order through herself. Got cancelled once again. Called the next day and they told me that I could pick it up at the store FOR FULL PRICE!!! And there was nothing that they could do. No options at all. I am done with this place. We bought a second fridge we desperately needed for a party. It arrived damaged the day before the party. The salesman Charbal went out of his way to arrange for a loaner with so many calls and lots of efforts., so warm and so interested in resolving it. The manager of the store, unfortunately don't know his name, arrived with a helper and the fridge. I was so impressed with his demeanor: caring and involved. He was not the manager type with the suit ordering others to do the work. He got it off the truck and rolled it quiet a way with little help from his helper. I am the happy new owner of a fitbit "charge" and I wanted to give a shout out to the terrific young man, Swarart, that helped me, not only with my decision about which model was best for me but he also set it up so I could wear it right then and there. Felt belittled and they were condescending to me when I return the product over there 15 day limit. I tried explaining that it was a gift for my elderly father and I was just getting back to returning it. But still they had to tell me over and over again they were going to give me a credit until I fought back and they finally returned it with the complete refund. While doing so they called the manager over who had to belittle me many times to tell me that usually it's 15 days. I've spent thousands of dollars on computers and TVs in the last two years and it was weird to have a young kid be so condescending to me. I made an online purchase today and chose in-store pickup. I quickly received an email saying my order was ready, so I headed out Route 9 to pick up the Christmas gifts. I arrived at the store and there was only one person in line ahead of me at "Store Pickup". After waiting 10 minutes (yes, I timed it), I finally got to the front of the line, where the salesperson could not find my whole order. While I had been waiting in line, I received another email saying my order could not be filled-----they did not have one of my items in stock. Note---I have already paid for this merchandise and simply want to pick it up. By the time the salesperson figured this all out (that they did not have all of my items), I had to leave the store in order to pick up my kids from school. I was there 15 minutes and left empty handed. She said I would have to call the 1-800 number to resolve my problem. I called the 1-800 number later in the afternoon. The man who finally answered the call (after getting transferred twice) apparently did not like the fact that my kids interrupted me on the phone and HE HUNG UP ON ME. I loathe this store. It is so poorly managed, EVERY TIME over the last 6 years we have a made purchase here, we have had trouble. SHAME ON ME FOR HOPING THAT I COULD HAVE A SUCCESSFUL EXPERIENCE WITH BEST BUY. I took my computer for service. After two weeks I got an email saying it was finished. I went in - email was in error. It wasn't done. Finally, I went in to find it was done. I said that I had taken my computer in with the power cord. They said I hadn't. I did and nobody would listen. The Geek Squad kid was rude and I finally gave up and left without the cord. Now I still can't use my computer. I went home to check with my son (it's his computer). He confirmed that the cord was on the machine when it went in. It's definately not in his room. So, I called the store and I have been on hold for nearly 30 minutes. Nobody will talk to me. The problem is -- where else can you go? They have an almost monopoly. With 6 kids I have spend THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS on game systems, computers, phones, and televisions. It is consistently terrible -- yet I go back. I'm an idiot and get what I deserve. I have been a returning customer to Best Buy for many years now. I recently purchased a $1000 TV and spent over $200 on insurance. The TV broke on me, and I promptly got in touch with the Geek Squad to help me fix it. It took them 20 full days to get back to me, and when they did they quoted me at $4200 to fix my $1200 TV. I declined their offer stating that I had full insurance on the product. Several weeks later, after my insurance had expired, they attempted to charge me $1200 to fix the TV - since I did't have insurance. I declined their offer once more and simply asked for a refund check. This past Monday I went to the Framingham location to pick up my check and spoke with a Best Buy employee named Paul who was very courteous and helpful. He checked the Geek Squad history, and realized they had charged me and treated me as if I had never had any insurance. After this experience with Best Buy and Geek Squad, with all the disorganization, throwing me through different loops, I will be taking my business anywhere else.
