This store is terrible. I ordered a washing machine for my family in Gilbert. They scheduled delivery. I had to request off from work to receive it. They did not call or show. When I spoke to the store they told me it was a mix up and re-scheduled. I really could not afford to miss work again but had no choice. Again no show. Third time I told them it needed to be a Saturday because I could not miss work. They made it between 7-12 and once again didn't show. They have cost me more money in salary than the value of the washer. They have absolutely zero concern for their customers time and no respect. It is beyond frustrating. Based upon prior issues with Best Buy policies I haven't made a purchase with them for more than 8 years.Perhaps things changed since the last poor experience. I thought I would give them another try as they had a good price. unfortunately this deal turned into another frustrating experience making the savings not worth it. I should have dealt with a local small business and avoided the cold customer treatment at Best Buy. I purchased a remote auto start for my wife's car as a Christmas gift, paid for installation at time of purchase and bought extended warranty coverage. I wasn't told that this store doesn't perform installations until I returned to schedule the installation . So I had to schedule at another store, not really a big deal until I found the earliest is almost 7 weeks out. Rather frustrating to kick off my experience but it got worse. I asked about the extended warranty I purchased. Does it start when the system is installed? No it starts the day the item is delivered to me. Basically I have purchased the extended warranty coverage and pay for time which the system is not is use which is no fault of my own. Correct ! Why was I not informed of this up front ? I would have held off receiving the item until installation. That's not the way Best Buy works I was told. And why was I not informed I would need to travel to another location for installation? Well this store doesn't do installation anymore. How would I know this if I'm not told? The sales person had no acceptable answers for my questions. He's just a kid with a job doing what Best Buy has told him to do. Essentially Best Buy can't support timely service for items they sell. The Best Buy extended warranty is truly an example of Best Buy worst buy ! This is a deceptive Best Buy policy. Stick with local small businesses to avoid being taken advantage of. read more

The service I received from Best Buy was amongst the worst I have ever experienced. I ordered a $200 product using their online system. I paid an extra fee to get it delivered early. On the day of delivery, I got a text message saying the delivery was canceled. No explanation as to why, but they did supply a phone number from ROADIE, their delivery service. I called the number and after being on hold for half an hour I gave up and used Best Buy's chat service to find out what was going on. The agent I chatted with could not tell me why the delivery was canceled but took my information and assured me that the product would be delivered by end of day. It was not delivered. I contacted them again and asked for a status. They could not give me one. They suggested that I wait until the next day to see if it would be delivered. It was not delivered. I contacted them again and they said that my item had been returned as undeliverable. Strange considering that I have had stuff delivered from them before. Again, no explanation as to why. I stated that I did not authorize a return and wanted my product. They told me that they could not do that. They told me that I would get a refund in 7 to 10 days. They then suggested that I reorder the item. I asked for a contact with their corporate offices to escalate the issue. They gave me an issue number and told me I would be getting an email with further information. That was two days ago and no email so far. I did take their suggestion and reordered the product...FROM AMAZON. read more

We were trying to buy tablets for our kids and to the tall guy who said I can't help you because you are not wearing a mask, sir there is a special place for people like you. If you would have said let me get a mask for my comfort we would have worn one. But to act the way you did was uncalled for. We were more than 6 ft away from you. I purchased a new dishwasher with geek squad protection from Best Buy in the beginning of the year. It was delivered at the end of February. The dishwasher stopped working in September and I called the geek squad. My appointment had to be cancelled because the Best Buy geek squad agent overwrote the address I gave him and sent the parts to a wrong address. The geek squad then called to tell me he didn't have parts. So he then Ordered parts and cancelled the appointment. He brought them to the next appointment but they were the wrong parts. He then said the problem was misdiagnosed and ordered new parts. The parts took a long time to arrive. Your geek squad just left my house after telling me the dishwasher is not level -Best Buy people wrongly installed the new dishwasher. They then Told me the last tech misdiagnosed the problem. They said the dishwasher is working fine besides not being level. They ordered new parts because they heard something clanking around in the dishwasher but couldn't see it. I tried calling the store manager and the geek squad manager multiple times. I was on hold for more than 45 minutes and was hung up upon multiple times. I'm extremely frustrated with this problem. We've been through thanksgiving without a dishwasher and next will probably be Christmas. I would appreciate a response. At this time, I'd like a new dishwasher. This is ridiculous. read more

John the worst Manager I've ever come across!! This Manager was in charge of the phone sector of the store and was absolutely no help!! He was called over after I purchased a screen protector for my new phone which was, also purchased at Best Buy. I asked if they would put on the screen protector for me since, each time I purchased phones from the Chandler location, those guys at that location has always been so nice and catering to its customers that, I assumed this location would be the same. John not only screamed at me on the sales floor but he also told me that it cost another $35 to put on my screen protector. He was RUDE, LOUD and made a huge scene!! He then held on to my receipt arguing that he was going to contact the Chandler location and speak to their manager because "they can't be putting on screen protectors for free" and that "they are costing the company money" .. I told him that, I spent almost $1000 purchasing my phone along with the screen protector so, it's the least that Best Buy could do, considering I purchased my items there! John wouldn't give me my receipt so, I took it from his hand and told him that I would go back to the Chandler location since they cateted to customers! I returned to the Chandler location and told them about my experience at the Gilbert location and they apologized for Johns behaviour and guess what? They put the screen protector on for me, with no problem!! I will never return to the Gilbert location!! The customer service with the cashier(gave me a hard time about being charged another $35 when I asked about it), and RUDE , as well as, that Manager John! I was interested in a LG TV, but wanted to talk with someone and do a Q&A about features rather than just buy from Amazon sight unseen. Came in the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The store was moderately busy but there were a ton of people outside at their cars waiting for delivery. I went inside and found the TV, along with another similar one that was more expensive. I could not find anyone to wait on me- there were 3 people working the area but 10 people waiting for help. After a half an hour it was my turn, but my "helper" said it wasn't her department and she didn't know anything about the TV differences. Then she "managed me" as I asked for someone who could help, she was frustrating enough that I left. Then, I went to Spencers a mile away, who had the TV. The store was cleanish, but not as clean as the other location. They did not honor the delivery date. I had to wait 3 days to receive my 65" TV because their delivery driver "called out" and my delivery date was pushed back another 2 days. They did not offer any additional accommodations/credits/anything. This TV was a gift and instead of presenting it on the day of the party, I have to say it'll be here in a couple of days. Extremely disappointed with the lack of resourcefulness or accommodation this team provided. Best buy hands down my favorite store and the only major retailer around except for Fry's Electronics. I have made plenty of big purchases and spent thousands over the years. That does not hold true recently and because of this they won't give me the same return policy because I did not spend a certain amount of dollars this past year. I'm extremely upset and frustrated with this place that they will indeed lose me and my close colleagues for life! We have all made hefty big screen tv purchases and even more expensive pro camera gear but never again! I recently bought two camera bags both with gift receipts within their holiday extended return period. (December 31st to be exact) I wanted to gift one to a friend and keep whichever one he liked least for myself. We ended up finding something else altogether that just worked much better so these two bags from best buy sat in a room with tags and receipts ready to be returned but I did not think I would have to rush and go out of my way to return it right away. Well I was wrong, because after 18 days they would not accept it. There return period first of all is a lousy 15 days and you can argue that other electronics retailers are the same way but no that is not true there is plenty of retailers that will take returns up to 30 days such as Amazon, B&H Photo, Adorama, ABT Electronics and the list goes on. On top of this guess what my items are not even electronics so maybe you should have a different return policy for non-electronic items don't you think. Anyways, point made their regular return period is not good, no excuses end of story. Luckily I was in the holiday return period right? WRONG their holiday return period is not an extended return period from the date of purchase(Like how it really should be) but instead if you bought something during their holiday period you can return it up to Jan 14th. Ok let's look at what is wrong with this. They claim that my purchase made on Dec 31st was in fact within their extended holiday return period but if I only have until Jan 14th to return it well guess what that is your same lousy 15 day return period again. You tricked me best buy that makes absolutely zero sense and you should apparently hire someone who can do simple math. I confirmed that this was indeed in your holiday return period yet no one told me that this will all end Jan 14th so in my head rightfully so I'm thinking ok this has extended return if I have to return it I'm good for a while. I'm done repeating myself I just wanted to make sure that got through. You know if your store managers would just hear me out (They pretended like they were but I don't think it was getting through to them) then there is absolutely ZERO reason why they would not be reasonable with me and just accept my refund. You know why because plain and simple I'm right and you are wrong and if you don't change mark my words your stores are going to start closing one-by-one. Saying that I'm beyond frustrated is still an understatement. Oh and I don't want store credit no I paid you with real money and I want that back which was their solution to this but absolutely not I do not accept. I'll be sure to make sure this is heard best buy I'm not letting it go I spent a long time talking to many of your people in charge in multiple stores. FAIL, FAIL, FAIL! So when I went to the web-site I was sent to this location "completely out of the way, but during this time it is expected! I called the location to confirm my order "again driving out of my" I think you can see where this going? At the point that I contacted the location they could have said they did not have the item in stock! Nope! I get there, I'm instructed to park, thankful after about 20min of waiting I decided to ask and wouldn't you guess it. The young lady comes back and says there's some hang up with there system and it's still in some cue? Ok, but then she says " we actually don't even have that particular iPad in stock! Shocked? Not me! Hire someone who understands OSA ' on shelve availability' especially during this time when online is all you have your brick and boarder stores should be doing scan outs " all day" and ZEROING out so the system is not sending customers on a dead end search! I spent 4000 on a fridge and stove scheduled a delivery on the only day they had available (Saturday). I missed my sons football game to make sure we got our appliances. A new leaf‽ Normally I walk around and it is a ghost town! Nobody can be found for anything. NOT TONIGHT! Somebody recognized pretty quickly that I needed help and radioed to Nathan, at least I'm pretty sure it was Nathan. Nathan was great! I had my raga-muffin daughter with me and she was running around like a crazy person! He was patient with me while I chased her around. He made sure I had everything I needed for putting my speakers in. Not only did he make sure I had the appropriate harness for my car but he price checked on amazon for me! Tried to exchange a defective router three days outside of Best Buy's already abysmal 15 day return period and was told there is no leniency in this policy and I would have to go directly to the manufacturer. The attitude and lack of support is unacceptable, and other retailers have a much better customer centric attitude. They will gladly take your money, but when it comes to solving problems it appears they would rather lose a high spend customer over a simple fix like this. I brought a New S9+ from them and they were very professional in the activation process, friendly, sense of humor, polite, honest, they get a 10 from me. The entire Mobile dept that night was very helpful to Brittany as we were her first S9+ activation and tbey helped her whenever need and with a smile, ( it helped she was pretty and young) they did not act like oh please do it yourself, they were very understanding and put us first. a true 10 star customer service effort by John, Josh, and Dan, and there Boss JT was super as well Que'ing people in and keeping them informed of the process and there status. Go to Target, Costco or Amazon instead Best Buy used to be my go to place for anything electronics, but after my last experience I'm done! Purchased a Philips Espresso machine on 1/12/22, added the 2 year warranty for an additional $90. The machine is great and I highly recommend it, but the hot water/ steam frother spout didn't work properly as it kept splattering as if the line was plugged or it wasn't drawing enough water. I worked with Philips to try to resolve this and they were great, they shipped me a water filter attachment to see if it would resolve the issue which it didn't (took 7-10 days to get the filter and do more troubleshooting). They determined it was likely a defect and offered to replace the machine or I can go back to the store for an exchange, since I purchased the extended warranty. We are now at day 33 of ownership 2/15/22, I went to Best Buy to exchange the unit and here is why I will not go back to Best Buy again. their return policy is 14 days which is less than any other retailer (Target 90 days, Costco 90+ days, Amazon 30 days). Even if it was 30 days I would have missed the window, I get it but perhaps I would have put more of a deadline for myself to cut off troubleshooting and go for exchange. Either way, it's fine since I have the extended warranty. Their extended warranty, which isn't cheap is no longer prorated. It used to be where you pay for whatever portion you used of the warranty, in this case 2 weeks and get the remaining to apply towards your exchange, that is not the case any longer. I was charged the full $90 for having a defected item for 33 days. I'm not upset about the $90 as much as I'm upset about the principal of this as it scales up to a TV or an appliance etc. Something that would have been covered under the 90 day policy from Target or Costco. Not to mention that they only offer store credit past the 14 days which is also a let down compared to other retailers. Bottom line, purchase your products from somewhere else and save yourself the extra money and headache that comes with dealing with Best Buy. read more

Best Buy is always a challenge for good service BUT not usually enough to make me leave the store and buy elsewhere. This location is by far the worst I've been in and won't be going back. We went in to buy two large tv's and left with none. The three guys working that section were only interested in their own visiting amongst themselves. They might have been willing to check us out but that was it. Not another soul around but us and wow, what an inconvenience we were. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Went shopping for Pokémon GO stuff for my nephew and found a wristband in the Nintendo area for $8.99 and a little Poké ball for $49.99. I asked the sales associate about the difference, pointed out both items, grabbed them from their respective areas, and handed them to the sales associate. They explained the differences and I commented on the price difference between them. He explained that one worked for the Switch and mobile games and the $8.99 one only worked with the mobile game. When I tried to purchase the wristband it rang up at $39.99 and they refused to sell it for the price it was listed at. I have worked in retail for years and when we clearly make a mistake by putting things in the wrong areas, we honor that price but then make sure it's corrected for the future. I normally don't complain but honestly, we were in here twice in one day, because legit no one would help us. The workers would look at us and then walk right past. We spent a total of two hours here, before finally being helped. The first time we came in, my boyfriend and I went to the help desk and asked for Jon, and the chick said she would call for him and that he wouldn't be in until later. That was fine, except she said she would send someone over to help us. We stood there for 30 minutes, and NO one came over to us. Where was all the fucking help?? So we left, got something to eat and came back. We sat at the table in the middle of the store, right next to where we needed help. For ONE. HOUR. Multiple workers walked right past us. Another couple strolled right by, stopped by the Nest section and then immediately was helped. they were not even ten feet away from where we were sitting, they were then pulled over to the section we needed help in and helped by John. Finally that Jon guy came over, finally asked us if we needed help, we said yes, and then he went and helped other John help that couple. Did they seriously need two people to talk about security system???? I think the fuck not. After thirty minutes of that couple JUST asking questions, it was our turn. finished within 20 minutes, and finally out the door. I don't appreciate this location or the workers. read more

I sat alone in the Apple section for about 20 mins waiting to see anyone to help me answer a simple question on whether they had an iPad case in stock. As more people showed up, I finally saw employees. First was a female who looked at me and immediately asked the young man who just showed up. I waited patiently as she helped him get a watch and then help him pick out accessories, another man came by and first asked the older couple who showed up after the young man, again I'm just standing there. I finally see the girl starting walking toward the register with this young man and proceeded to check him out even though there was another girl at the register available, but again I tried not to get frustrated and just waited. Once she finished checking him out, I made eye contact with her and she just sat back on the counter and began chatting with the other coworker. I finally approached the man, who was still helping the older couple just to try to single someone that I was here and needed help. I told him I just needed help once he finished and went back to waiting by accessories, until I made eye contact with the girl again and finally she came over but appeared to be taking her time doing so, at this point I just approached her and asked my question. Then I get to the cashier and as I went to tap for payment I tapped the wrong side - he pointed the appropriate side out and stated "just look for the symbol, what is this your first time" and not in a joking manner, I was kind of speechless at this point and just left. I get paid shit at my job, I work in customer service and I'm not saying you need to bend over backwards for a customer but you should treat them with some respect because at the end of the day we are all humans, if you'd like me to treat you with respect then I will expect the same. read more
