I first off would like to say I live in Newbury park and come to this best buy store is for 2 reasons emilly utu and jessie Horowitz both were amazing to me especially Emilly utu I had a problem that I tried to resolve at my local store in thousand oaks but was just treated like trash. I called the Oxnard store and with instantly talking to Emilly utu and letting her know the issues I was having she told me to come into the store and she would resolve it for me no problem! And she did just that I can honestly say I was incredibly greatful for her and her amazing customer service as well as going above and beyond for me! She could teach the entire staff at thousand oaks store about what customer service is! I went into the store and asked for her as directed and she took care of my issue in no time and was once again incredible to me I was extremely lucky to have had the chance to speak with her and she restored my faith back in bestbuy she deserves some recognition for the outstanding job she did and how professional and and made sure I was taken care of before she left! I was again amazed! And really hope that she gets some kind of recognition! I work in customer service as well for (wholefoods) and know how challenging it can be! Sorry but you should not make customers wait on hold for 8 min and then pick up the phone and say please hold.. I waited for another 6 min. I asked to speak to a manger and Carla said ok you will have to wait on hold for awhile. Customer service sucks. read more

We received the Frigidaire Gallery (Stainless Steel)combo convection wall oven/microwave. After three months of use, both ovens are working well. The features work Great. Dan and Cody did a fantastic job of getting the unit installed. (We had a little tweeking to do) The complaint I had was with the bells and beeping. I was able to easily disable the microwave (user preference button) the convection also was easy. A volume control would be nice when we need the timer etc... It is really great to have a oven that works so well on all the variety of food that we have thrown in there. Also it is a plus freeing up the counter and having the microwave right there. First thing we have bought in while where I can give a positive review on the product and the seller. Good job Best Buy! read more

We recently purchased a 65" Samsung TV. Purchasing the TV was a bit of a pain due to a lack of communication but once the TV was delivered, the Geek Squad did a fabulous job! Best Buy and Pacific Sales, don't do it! We bought a broken WhirlPool dishwasher from Best Buy and have now spent 2 Saturday's waiting at home for correct Delivery and instillation of the replacement unit. Best Buy took no responsibility and passed us over to Pacific Sales a company they choose to do business even though customers are dissatisfied. We just experienced the second error in the same day! The second arrangement today was done by a supervisor and still is incorrect! This company is beyond disorganized. Shame on Whirlpool and Best Buy for contracting with a company that can't arrange a delivery and instillation after 3 consecutive try's. Until this is corrected amongst these organizations I recommend not purchasing from Best Buy or Whirlpool! read more

I came here yesterday wanting to buy a MacBook but being indecisive on which one to specifically get. I then approached an employee and asked him for some information on the different kinds and after speaking with him I knew so much information and was able to make a decision immediately! Came here on Labor Day weekend to buy a TV. I already had an idea of what I wanted. Best Buy was not that crazy busy, and I got help from a Geek Squad member, Marcus. I was happy to be with a Geek Squad guy, because they work on the technical side, and they know what breaks a lot and what doesn't. I asked him straight out what would he get, and he directed me towards a Panasonic Plasma, he said it was far more superior that Samsung and LED. So I bought it, and got the 4 year warranty, and I am super pleased. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! I brought my computer to this Best Buy Geek Squad so they could fix my charging port. They replaced the whole motherboard, now I get blue screen errors, or it shuts off completely and won't turn back on. 7 repairs later, I've spoken to the store managers, the corporate resolution specialist, and they are all "sorry for your frustration with your laptop, there is nothing we can do." Haha... My frustration is with the people/ company who broke my laptop! Do not use this company!!! They have no guarantee behind their work and they have no pride in customer service or resolutions!!! Small claims court here I come. read more

What a "customer service" disaster. The store needs major improvement. I ordered a product (Order number: BBY01-629175003559) and I had someone call and say the product was in and at the store. When I went into the store today, they could not find the product even though they had a record of the transaction in their computer. They basically had no idea what had happened to it? Don't buy from Best Buy. I had to wait a week and a half for them to deliver the new TV. When they did, they said they had to unplug everything. But when the finished, my WIFI didn't work. They best they would do was come back another 10 days later. Worst customer service ever. Costco and sometimes Fry's have competitive prices. Go there instead. Best Buy is where I have been buying my electronics for years. It does not have extremely cheap prices, but I find technology I buy there is more reliable. Their protection plans are also a reason I shop there. Customer service is average, that could vary from place to place but personally in my area there are no problems. A tall gentleman who worked at Best Buy greeted me at the door and immediately got my item for me. It took all of one minute to enter the store and get my item with an emailed receipt. I have been a member of 'GEEK SQUAD ' for many years. They have always been great at fast repairs, done well. My last visit (a year ago) was okay, except I had a "hardware problem", and they stated that due to new policy, they had to send all of these types of problems out... to some other location, for repairs! (This really turned me off!!!). I just came from the Geek Squad at Best Buy, for what I thought would be a simple virus removal. The intake clerk told me no problem, but it would take from 8 to 10 days to complete... now I was really mad, and asked why so long? The Answer was swift, and had something to do with not enough personnel and not being supplied with enough of the proper tools & etc. to keep up with demand!!! Also something about taking on 'Apple Products'. I will now try to find a shop that is more reliable, faster without a long wait time. I can surely see why this store only has two stars. The service is horrible. I purchased a stereo here and it was to be installed last Friday. I went in on Friday and was told my appointment wasn't until the next day, however I was told a kit I needed wasn't ordered. The associate state he would order and call me the next day. Its now Wednesday and no one has bothered to call me. I've called the store a total of 6 times and according to sales reps the department is always closed. I recently did a software update on my Samsung S9+ and after the update completed, I could not operate the phone at all. I lost all the information in the phone. I called Best Buy and spoke to Yami, one of the Samsung experts. She invited me in to look at the phone. When I got there she spent about 2 hours retrieving all my information and setting up a Cloud account in case this ever happened again. She was very patient and professional. When I left, the phone was operating awesome. I use my phone for work and was stranded without it. Thanks Yami for taking care of me. Went to the store the other day after dealing with the rude and dishonest corporate store down the street. They had me going up to T.O. for no reason and would always make up a story as to why they couldn't help me with my problems and all I needed to do was call an automated number, that did not help me whatsoever. I came into the store for some xmas shopping and ended up browsing at the phones when a young lady named bianca attended me. She was so nice and polite, she was entertaining my kids while still helping me with her charismatic attitude. She got me the phones that I wanted and lowered my bill. I was so appreciative that I asked to buy her lunch which she turned down, I even offered to tip her and she turned that down as well. We just another pleasant experience with "Ryan" the manager of Pacific Sales in Best Buy. Initially, 1) Initially, Ryan was helpful in matching and 'besting' a price for a french door Kitchen Aid refrigerator. We were comparing to Lowes and Home Depot at the time. 2) As things happened, when the new fridge did arrive (and fairly quickly at that) with scratches, he was courteous in having it replaced promptly. 3) Recently, the ice make auger wasn't lining up and he just (today) after a careful over-the-phone diagnosis, then arranged for a new part to be sent out. Once again, he was professional and courteous. These experiences will lead us to recommend going to Best Buy / Pacific Sales for major appliances -- I hope that he is training the other staff to this level of assistance. :) Thanks! read more

Worst customer service ever! Went in last night to go look at laundry center. There was a older man with glasses from the "pacific sales" side who walked over and immediately said don't buy this. You would think a sales person would try hard to sell you something your already looking at. I asked him why? He stated that I get a ton of returns on this and it's just not worth it. I then asked him about any promotions or sales currently have. He stated that all done and over. It was during the holidays. I asked him about price matching. 6/30/2012 I patiently have been shopping around for my first i-pad for several months now. I attempted to shop at Fry's, target, even walmart. I have many questions, I never could find a Sales Associate that was willing to assist me or one that was knowledgeable nor patient. This was not the problem at Best Buy! I came across the most helpful sales associate named Zack. Zack answered everyone of my questions concerns and had a pleasant disposition. Not once did he roll his eyes or lock at his watch. After three months of waiting I walked out of Best Buy with a new ipad and faith in the city of Oxnard Customer Service may still exist at least at Best Buy! Best Buy in Oxnard always has helpful people working there that are able to answer my questions and help me find the products I need. I've purchased a computer, a phone a wireless speaker, and music and movies there so far this year. Every time I come in, I am helped. Sometimes there's an issue that's related to their corporate systems, but the managers and employees in Best Buy actually care about you. You can feel the difference when you walk into that store versus the Wal-Mart across the street. They love their customers! read more

The sales people that work at the Best Buy are simply too aggressive when they are trying to let you know about all their deals available to a Best Buy club member.
