I comped the same window pricing the owner stated are "top of the line" and was quoted 60% less than what they did at better install quality. They have a 4 star for a reason. If you like your money to fly away, this is your place. If you value honestly and the hard working dollar, then stay away! read more

UPDATED REVIEW: After writing this review on Yelp, Google, and their Facebook page (which was quickly deleted), the owner Hector (part owner) was in touch with us the next day. Hector came by a few hours later and had let us know that he had no idea that this had been going on. Hector asks what it is we want, we simply state it is not the integrity of the turf that we have issues with, it is the customer service and integrity of your employees. He states that he will give us a discount and re-do our turf at "his" cost, which was only $300 less than I had originally paid. He suggested that we should just fix ourselves. We had already planned on doing that since we had gone 4 months trying to get a hold of them and decided it was now up to us. We did not expect free turf, even though the gentlemen that sold us this turf stated we are completely covered with all issues of the turf and our warranty extends to the future owners of this home. All we wanted was someone to come out and help us problem solve our turf, what was covered or not covered and how this could be fixed. We would have been more inclined to pay them to fix it, but this is a little too late. He had asked if he can count on us updating our review, we said we would, and here it is. He then followed up with us yesterday asking if we can get to it. Not sure if he is expecting a 5-star review but my honest review is that this company is shady and not worth your money or time of day. There are plenty of better customer service turf companies out there. I had also noticed that the original comment to my review was changed, his original comment stated "We have not received a service call but will input one ASAP. Thank you for the feedback and our office will be reaching out to you." It now says "....we will be sending a supervisor to your property immediately to see what exactly the issue is and if it is under warranty we will take care of right away." Clearly, he decided this was not a "warranty" issue. This is 4 months too long of back and forth phone calls, inconsistent information, and horrible customer service. It took 4 months of about a dozen phone calls, and three 1 star reviews for someone to finally reach out to us and our problem is still not fixed. I still do not recommend this company and hope this helps you in deciding what turf/home improvement company to go through. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS. I purchased turf from this company three years ago. After paying extra for the pet enzymes in the turf it made little to no difference. We had called to ask if there could be more done since this was months after getting it installed and had received no call back. 2 years later our turf had begun to pull away from the fence & began sinking in certain areas, come to find out this is due to gophers underneath the turf that had now created sink holes & now our turf does not reach to our fence. We have been in contact with Best Choice Home Remodeling about a dozen times since April requesting someone to come take a look and get this fixed. Darrell was sent to come take a look for us, weeks went by then he said he would come after his vacation and still had not called us back. He then set up 2 appointments with us (after 4 weeks) and said he would come by, we never heard from him and could not get a hold of him. To note, we cleared our work schedule so we could meet with him. We finally called the front desk & Darrell had assigned Jose to come take a look, Jose finally did 2 weeks later and said he was going out of town and would take care of it as soon as he got back. 3 weeks later and we had not heard from him after trying to get ahold of him. After finally getting a hold of Jose, he states that he has a lot of work to do with their current project and he will have to ask his boss (I'm assuming Darrell) when he will have availability to fix our property. This is now almost 2.5 months later, we are back and forth with Darrell, Jose, the woman who works the front desk and are getting absolutely no where. We are still awaiting a phone call back on an "estimate" as to how much fixing the turf will be, even though we are "covered". Now we are in the midst of trying to sell our home and our turf is still not fixed, this is 4 months later and we have not heard back from anyone. When we signed our contract with this company we were "promised" that we are covered for life for the purchase of this turf as well as the future buyers of our home. Any issues or problems would be taken care of. We have been blown off numerous times by the front desk, Darrell, and Jose. The amount of unprofessionalism and lying is beyond my understanding for a company that has reviews on their site claiming that they are "efficient and professional at completing the job". Beata was our contact and her professionalism and follow through was top notch. Update: BCHR finished up the exterior remodel on our house this week and my wife and I couldn't be more impressed with the final result. The care, quality and craftsmanship they provided was second to none. Every single person associated with our project was outstanding. From day one our salesperson Beata (Bee) made us feel comfortable. She promised we'd love the final product and man was she right. Bee kept in touch with us through the whole project which was awesome because this was the first big project on our home in 17 years. Then there was Trish from the main office who called often just to see if everything was going ok. I mean who does that. We can't thank her enough for the reassurance she provided, thanks Trish you're awesome. Now for the amazing crew. Josh and Rene (foreman) were there every step of the way to oversee the demo of all the facia boards and trim, great guys. The paint crew did a wonderful job repairing our outside back patio which had years of dry rot that needed to be replaced before the Tex Cote could be applied. Once all the trim work was finished it came time for the Tex Cote to be applied (which by the way will last forever). Bee helped us choose some beautiful colors that matched up well. Then it was time for the crew to get busy and paint, and man did they ever. They masked everything off before each new color was applied and I can't find any overspray anywhere. I realize I'm rambling right now, but I'm just so thrilled that every single team member went well beyond to help us out. If I could give BCHR 10 stars I would. Last weekend we had the displeasure of having Best Choice Home Remodeling visit our home to provide a quote for an outdoor pergola. Beata was our consultant and showed up on time and provided a wealth of information pertaining to the aluminum pergola product that her company provided. Upon completion of the measurement of our space and the overview of their product, Beata began to crunch the numbers and provide us with our quote. This, however, is where the situation started to fall off of the rails. An initial price of almost 10k was discounted to around 6.5k if we "signed up today" as this was their slow time of the year. I asked if they would honor that price in two weeks if I agreed to their terms and the answer was "most likely." Beata then decided to berate us about affordability, how serious we were, and even brought up the fact that if we liked her personally (tough call only knowing someone for 30 minutes) then we should sign on the dotted line. She basically used every hard sell tactic in the book to get us to sign a contract even after I informed her I worked in the sales industry and would not be making any decisions on the spot. In closing, this company uses doorknockers to set appointments and then sends in the "closers" to use high-pressure sales tactics to seal the deal. In my opinion, if a company wants to close you on the same day and does not allow you any time to think it over or shop around then they must not have a quality product or service. We said a definitive "no" at least ten times before this grueling consultation was over. I can see how they are successful as a majority of the population would sign the contract just to end the nightmare of the hard sell. read more

We had a great experience from beginning to end. We first met Joe when he was doing door to door marketing. It was quick and his team contacted us right away. We then met with Robert and he sat down with us for hours to go over options, payments and he was a great salesman. He didn't pressure us or make us feel uncomfortable. Truly can't say anything negative about the process. Brian was our project manager and he came in to measure all of the windows and he was super nice and polite. He was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Installation day took two days and Francisco and his team were great. They had the system down and we're in and out with little mess and disruption to our household. They came back the second day to finish the project and our windows look beautiful! Wow. Just wow. Jason and Christian were amazing throughout the entire process of completely redoing our entire yard. I cannot recommend them both highly enough. Our yard was really ugly and now it is gorgeous. They demolished an incredible amount of old and poorly constructed concrete sidewalk and patio and expertly replaced it with concrete pavers. They built up the yard to improve drainage and appearance before installing artificial turf. They also installed a beautiful concrete paver retaining wall along the back fence. Marketing guy came round just to ask if i was interested in replacing my windows. I said no, as the ROI (was not good short term). He said the whole house (condo), could be done for as little as $2,5-$3.5k. I asked in this figured included removal and replacement labor (yes he said). Ok then, next day 2 others came inside to determine the amount of windows and i asked them if say $3-3.5k was realistic. In the end, they said "not even close" and said the marketing guy doesn't know what he's talking about. So in the they end spent 30mins for nothing, and as a rough estimate to replace around 10 windows low end would be over $9,000. In the end, Hector came through and made everything right. I wish I could give 5 Stars for Hector's efforts alone. But, the review is for the business overall. Wether it was poor communication or possibly underhanded business partners, optics are everything. Hector should not have to step in and correct failures from the staff/contractors he hires. Hector made sure the roof permit was taken care of after the project was over. Thank you! However, permit requirements were made extremely clear before the contract was signed. Miscommunication or shortcut, doesn't matter. The fact is they failed to pull the permit until weeks after the project was over. Next, spray painting over the old roof vents and reinstalling them when you are supposed to install new ones, doesn't bode well. Neither does making me complain until the roofers have returned 3 or 4 times to correct basic items written in the contract. Shortcut? Oversight? Miscommunication? The reason doesn't matter. All areas where Hector's team and business partners need to improve upon. If everything was completed the way professionals should do, this would have been a 5 Star review. read more

Totally disappointed in our choice of using Best Choice Home remodeling. We initially wanted our patio doors replaced. They quoted us one days total work for the windows once they were fabricated. We then also decided to use them for pavers for our patio, and flooring for our entire home. But we soon found out, they don't do any of the work, they use subcontractors and so far we are highly disappointed and we've only gotten the pavers done and had our entire enterior of our house filled with dust. The subcontractor sent his wife over to clean and dust, but she wasn't able to clean the entire amount of dust. They left out homeowners streets riddled with sand and dobros that I had to clean up myself. Phase two of the flooring and phase three of the doors hasn't started amd it's been weeks. and it looks like they have more delays as the subcontractors keep canceling. I'd recommend using a contractor that actually does the work and doesn't subcontract any of the job or jobs out. And cleans up after themselves. read more

Imperial Valley watch out! This company provided me with the worst customer service and remodeling experience I have ever had. They were extremely rude, unorganized, unprofessional, and took about 6 weeks to complete a job they told me would take 3-5 days. They scheduled a day to start, then didn't show up or return my phone calls for 3 days. When they finally did contact me, it was only to tell me that the start would further be delayed. When they finally showed up two weeks later, they didn't have all the equipment to do the job, so they left a backhoe in my front yard for another few days. When they finally showed up to START the job, they sent two people who didn't know how to use a backhoe. They almost flipped it in my front yard and the construction company across the street ran over to stop them before somebody got injured. "Best Choice" actually sent those workers home, completing nothing, and two days later the construction company from across the street came over to start the turf job. The company did about 3 hours of work per week, until the job was finally complete one month later. They wouldn't return my phone calls as they continuously didn't show up, and then acted like they had no idea what I was complaining about. They also attempted to install the turf without the weed barrier and other supplies, after they had charged me for them. All in all, this was the worst experience of my life, and I would never use them ever again, for any project. Please, take my word on this. Update: I was just contacted by a man. He said he went through his records and was trying to find who I was. He wanted to know my full name, address, phone number, and date that the job was completed. It made me feel very uncomfortable. I guess they don't want people telling the truth. read more

We just had our entire yard - front and back - remodeled by Best Choice and it looks great! We gave a door to door salesman a listen and made an appointment with a rep. Jason listened to our wants and needs, gave some suggestions, and agreed on a price. A few weeks later the work started. Christian was the site supervisor and him and his crew were amazing! They were hard working and very polite. The crew installed almost 700 square feet of pavers in our front and backyard in less than 3 days! It was a big job but they were able to get all of the work done in 10 days total. They listened to our thoughts and ideas and accommodated us the whole time. Even though hardscape was this crew's speciality, they did a great job with installing sod and a few plants up front. We could not be happier with the results. After living in our home for 4 years with a vision of the yard of our dreams - we finally have it! The work was good and the price was fair but I found the business practices to be poor. We had Best Choices install some retaining walls, pavers, and a patio in our backyard. They didn't get a permit for the project and so the city of Santee shut down the project for a month. Then we had to hire an engineer to meet the city's requirements. Then the city's inspectors had to inspect and check off each step of the project. I had to accompany the inspector around because no workers showed up on inspection days and many times the inspector wasn't satisfied and had to schedule another inspection. When the walls and pavers were finished we learned that the patio contractor had sent back our patio because the project was 6 months late. When the project was finally finished Hector offered us a discount to pay in cash instead of a check. I can deal with all of this but they keep calling us every few months despite my telling them that I don't have any work, won't hire them, and I will post a negative review of their business practices if they won't leave me alone. So Hector, I'm done with the threats. Leave me alone or I will continue to post negative reviews. read more

This Company applied tex-coat "cool wall" paint to the exterior of our home. The process took four days. First day, they completely power washed, then masked all areas to be protected. Second day, they prime coated every single surface that was to be painted. Third day they painted the stucco body. Fourth day they did all the trim, cleaned up and installed lights and house numbers. Throughout the whole process, Oscar, the lead guy, kept me informed and addressed any issues I raised(which were very few). I was very pleased with the little details that they took the time to complete. One example of detail was the mask lines where the stucco and wood met. Oscar took the time to suggest how to insure a sharp crisp line around the garage door and front door was insured versus how the initial paint had been done. I agreed, he did it and I loved it! These guys from the sales staff, to the front office, to the painting crew are all very professional! read more

A setup man just happened to be in the neighborhood and offered me a seasonal discount of $600.00 off the total price. He couldn't stay to discuss windows. So, I made an apppointment. The following day, Beata Jenkins the sales representative came. Her strategy was simple. Find my comfort price then inflate the cost and then discount the price toward the comfort price. This was all part of the setup. Her initial quote for eight Anlin Catalina widows was $9,000.00! She demonstrated windows like Jeld Wen and Milgard from Home Depot were inferior quality. That Anlin Catalinas windows were well worth the extra price. Beata then began to include numerous other discounts to make the inflated price more reasonable. Beata used phrases like" what can we do so that we can move forward." "I hope I can earn your business." I never received a written quote. All the negotiations were done verbally then the prices were written on scratch paper. We can always just start off with a few windows just to get things started and do the rest later. If money is the issue there is finacing available. This was commission driven greed! Beata wanted a big piece of the pie. Jason Jenkins provided us with an excellent presentation and a lot of information about Anlin Windows. We were in total shock by the bid for the job. We wondered, did Jason forget something? We had no intention of purchasing right now but the bid for the job was unbelievable so we signed the contract. Raphael and Francisco arrived on the installation day on time and fully prepared. Their work is impeccable! Perfection to the 10th degree. Not only did they do a perfect installation they did an excellent clean up too. IS THERE AN OPTION FOR ZERO STARS!!! I would highly recommend avoiding doing any business with this company! They used to be Best Value Home Remodeling. Same owner, Randy Bolin, same address. Read the reviews, same issues seen here. They did $35k worth of work on my home to repair siding and apply Texcote paint using the Hero program. Not only was it a horrible experience, completely unprofessional, but now I have significant problems. Water damage, Everywhere because the the terrible work that was performed with improper application of the paint and incompetent construction done replacing siding and trim. It looked ok when they left but of course as it turns out they didn't replace all the wood they should have just tacked down buckled rotten wood and painted over so it looked right. A year later of course paint peeled, Same wood buckled again and created a bigger problem than I had originally. I'm screwed, because Of course, they closed the business shortly after and my 15 yr warranty and any recourse I had is out the window. I now have to spend another $25k to redo the horrible work that was performed in 2017. If the new company is anything like the old, which based on reviews appears to be.....Steer Clear!! read more
