I just wanna thank everybody out there at the urgent care office of Sizemore. I was in so much pain where you want to say number 10 but that means you want to call 911 but I have this terrible pain that just scares me because I think it's my heart. I don't care for the new sign in system where you have to use your phone and put in your insurance cards every time, but they are still really kind about it. I feel bad for the receptionist she was trying to explain it to new people. I had trouble explaining my pain to the doctor because it is so New and different and just hard to define, but he was understanding the young man who did the EKG test was really kind too It must be so hard to deal with so many different people but they all handled it really well and I was surprised to get a phone call back from the doctor later in the day. Don't bother making an appointment because apparently it's just a suggestion. There are no doctors, just one nurse practitioner that seemed to care less about me. To many more things to list, but if you have the option I would highly recommend going somewhere else read more

I'll start with a copy of my original review from my visit on 8/1/25: "I will NEVER visit here again. After taking my $200(self pay), I was told by the Dr. that they can't help me and I need to go to the hospital. I was never even examined. What a complete rip off! They should be ashamed of themselves." On 8/4/25 I received a reply from a co. representative to ask me what happened. I explained the visit to her and requested a refund of my money. She told me they will look into this further and get back to me. That was over a month ago. I have since called her three times and left voice mail messages. She will not return my call. A few weeks later I requested a copy of my medical notes from the visit. The notes stated that I denied examination, which is a complete lie. The entire process appears to be a charade. It seems they never had any intention of returning my funds. Rarely do I post reviews, but I'm sincerely warning you to be wary of this place. It is not the same since a large conglomerate purchased it from the original, local owner. read more

If you call, you get an AI bot that refuses to transfer the call to the front desk. When it finally agrees to transfer, I was automatically disconnected. Foolish me tried this THREE times. Is this our future? Have been here before and really liked a certain doctor. Want to come back in but want to know when that doctor is working. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with the care I received from Best Med. Four weeks Ago As a patient, I expect to be heard and understood, but that wasn't the case here. The medical staff seemed dismissive and uninterested in my symptoms. I tried to explain my concerns, but they didn't take the time to listen or investigate further. that didn't address my specific needs. I felt like just another number, not a person deserving of quality care. The lack of empathy and understanding from the staff was staggering. As a patient, it's infuriating to feel like your concerns are being ignored. I would not recommend Best Med to anyone. If you're looking for a healthcare provider that actually listens and cares, keep looking. read more

I have always been satisfied with the care at BestMed. However, on my last visit I was assigned, without my knowledge, to a provider who did not accept Medicare . When I received my billing, I realized that there was a problem as I was billed for the full charge of $295 for irrigation of one ear. When BestMed informed me that my credit card would be charged this full amount, they said nothing about the fact that their provider did not accept my insurance. Of course, I should have been informed before treatment so I could make an informed decision. I understand why a provider would not want to be limited to the Medicare reimbursement but patients must be notified in advance. While this is not the law it is common curtesy and good business practice. Losing a repeat client was not worth it in the long run. read more

I was very impressed with this urgent care. I came down sick with strep while on vacation in Bend, OR and was unsure where to go. Mikayla did an excellent job with my intake, vitals, and understanding my health concerns. The PA Scott was equally excellent with doing a thorough exam and explaining everything in detail. My wife missed a step and broke her wrist while visiting family in Bend. We went to BestMed Urgent Care and we're seen promptly. The staff examined my wife's wrist, x-rayed her wrist and put on a fiberglass splint. We were told that the injury was a crack in there binder ends with no displacement. BestMed told us that they were sending a referral to an orthopedic practice nearby to have the splint replaced with a platter cast. BestMed did not give us a CD with the x-rays. The splint was too long and hurt her elbow. They never explained why her elbow had to bed immobilized for a wrist injury. The orthopedic practice never received the referral. I called back and they promised to send it again. It was still not received the next day. We were told to go to another orthopedic practice. They too had not received a referral. We were given a walk-in appointment and had more x-rays taken which showed a bone fragment that either needed to be surgically set or allowed to heal with a consequent loss of wrist mobility. Not ideal for ones dominant hand. She was given a short cast and scheduled for surgery. BestMed did not provide a correct diagnosis, a correct prognosis, an appropriate cast or a CD with the x-rays. In addition, BestMed is the one urgent care center in Bend that cannot send x-rays electronically to other practices. You can find better urgent care practices. They now have x-rays! Great! Beats the wait at the local hospitals. Also, it was super cheap. They even offer coupons for local restaurants for free! All you need to do is ask Dr. Anthony Dechristopher personally. He's the best. But he prefers to go by Tony. He's very personable and enjoys ballet, trumpet playing, and long walks on the beach! read more

This urgent care had no front desk staff when we arrived and then when they finally came out, the front desk was rude and turned us away when trying to get our toddler's ears checked quickly saying they were "at capacity". Utterly shocked and disappointed that an urgent care, supposedly to help people, turns away a quick ear check, especially in such a rude manner. I would never return here or recommend. read more

This place is not the same after changing ownership. Nurse Adrienne Mastrandrea is not a professional caregiver. She was very aggressive during the visit. It was more like an interrogation than a health care visit. I went there due to a lingering virus that tuned into a sinus infection. I felt degraded after my encounter with her. I will not return there again due to her attitude. I am retired law enforcement and have treated suspects with more respect than she gave me. read more

Back in November, my daughter and I visited the BestMed Urgent Care on the same day both suffering from sinus issues. We were in the treatment room together and both received the exact same testing and treatment for what turned out to be sinus infections. The experience was excellent. The physician was thorough, kind, and compassionate. The staff was amazing. And then came a bizarre billing experience. A few weeks later, we received the bill for our care. After our insurance contributed its part (we're on the same plan), the cost for my care was inexplicably more than $200 more than the cost for my daughter's. It made no sense as our care was identical, delivered at the same time in the same room by the same staff members. It is not that I wasn't willing to pay my bill, but I wanted to understand why my care was more than double the cost of that of my daughter before I did so. I immediately reached out to Best Med's billing department. The staff there were kind, but not able to explain why the charges were so different. I then called the clinic manager who was very curious and promised to look into the issue and get back to me. A few weeks passed with no return call or email. I called again three times, leaving voicemails each time and still no response. I also emailed both the clinic manager and BestMed's home office, but still received no response. It was very frustrating, to say the least. Ultimately, I paid the bill rather than risk being sent to collections, but the whole post-care experience has left me so thankful that we have many options in town as opposed to Best Med. I have found this experience to be so disheartening and unprofessional, as I still have not received any communication as to why my care was so much more expensive than my daughter's. Unfortunate because the in-office experience was really good. I typically don't take the time to write reviews like this, but I've since noticed that I don't appear to be alone in my experience. I've seen several other reviews online highlighting similar issues with BestMed's billing practices. It appears to be a common issue and one I think potential clients should be aware of before they use BestMed's services. read more

This place is easy to get into which is the reason I gave 2 stars. However, I went in for pink eye and the pa didn't even touch me or examine me. He just asked questions and left. They said they would send my prescription over and I had to call 5 times, and they said they had sent it but my pharmacy didn't get it. I asked if I could have them call it in since the electronic method wasnt working and they said to have the pharmacy call. It was a nightmare to get the eye drops. Then, come to find out they had just switched over to another company but hadn't changed the signage. So basically I looked up my insurance to make sure it was tier 1 and it was with the old name, but then it ended up being billed under the new company, so a much higher copay. I'd do zero stars if I could. Had the worst experience. They made me wait 2 weeks for antibiotics because they swore it was allergies even though my son had a double ear infection, sinus infection, and double pink eye. I was literally in tears after three visits in two weeks when they finally gave me a prescription. Because of the lack of care for me, my 5 month old then got what I had. When I took her in, they were googling symptoms in front of me! When I asked the doctor what he was doing he said he wasn't sure how to treat a child so young! Obviously I felt extremely uncomfortable but our pediatrician didn't have openings that day so we were stuck. They were condescending and clearly didn't know what they're doing. Would recommend literally anywhere else over BestMed. read more

My husband went to get his flu shot here, as he has in the past before BestMed took over. They billed the insurance company $252.76 as a "Specialist Office Visit". Our co-pay for what should have been a free flu shot ended up being $70. When we called the insurance company they let us know it was incorrectly billed as the office visit rather than the flu inoculation. When we called BestMed they confirmed that's how they do it there!!! They should have told my husband at check-in. A clear case of overcharging both insurance companies and the public! We will miss Family Choice Urgent Car and will now use BMC for all urgent care needs. read more

I was out of my meds waterpill for congestive heart.. started swelling. I had gone 6 wks before no problem. This time I go for help an the LPN was horrible like she was tryn to provoke me.. were talkn meds an in the middle she says I worry about. your driving...im like why? No tickets no accidents in 40 yrs. She says all I have to do is write DMV an your lic GONE;... AT that point I walked out before she had me arrested for saying something she didnt like....she never did do her job an fill my meds..she said she didnt feel comfortable with that. I ENDED UP IN ER With congestive heart. An breathing problems. They wanted to admitt me.. i couldnt I had 2 dogs at home.im 63 couldnt walk good bc I fell on my knee caps on concrete 2 mo. Before. And her errogant self took away the only way I could get food. Meds. Drs appts. An what a huge exspense paying others to do what I could before. I went hungry for over a week. Im diabetic. Veterns couldnt deliver. Food banks couldnt. That visit cost me everything.....i moved here from out of state. Knew nobody. I would think twice before going there. You never know what you'll get help or hurt beyond belief...... read more

I just had the best experience at BestMed in Bend. I saw Joe Brill and he made me feel so comfortable. I've been having issues for sometime and he's the first person to actually listen and want to help Me! He actually cares. I'm grateful after leaving there and that has never happened before.
