Showed up early, got in got out with some good coffee and some bomba azz snacks, hands down the must go to coffee house when in LA Jolla. *Staff is on point. *menus is easy to read. *Service is great. *communication is on point (especially this early morning 7AM) *No doubt (like the band) I'm sure you can't go wrong ordering any thing from this location. I can't believe how popular Better Buzz has become! I was pleasantly surprised to find this location as soon as I stepped out of the parking structure on my way to La Jolla Cove. I've been to several of their Orange County locations, so it was nice to stumble upon one while I was on vacation. It felt like a little taste of home, even if home is only about 90 minutes away. Of course, I ordered my go-to Snickerdoodle Latte, and it was just as delicious as it is at every other Better Buzz I've visited. The location is super convenient for anyone heading to or from La Jolla Cove, and I'm sure I'll be back the next time I'm in the area.

My matcha was grey. Half my matcha was in unsifted chunks at the bottom of the cup. See pictures. Food: 1/5 All the drinks are syrupy sweet. And just look at my matcha. It was only banana syrup. There are unsifted chunks at the bottom of the cup, and the color is just grey. Service: 1/5 And I would have complained about my drink too!! But everyone was so unfriendly and overworked here. There is only one minute of interaction during a transaction for me to decide if I like the service, and not only was the cashier unresponsive, she would also talk over me as I'm ordering. The one minute of interaction made me feel like a burden. Atmosphere: 2/5 It was cute in here. But I felt very unwelcome. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have told everyone I know who likes matcha to avoid this place. Final rating: 1.33 (rounding down to 1 on Yelp)

We stumbled across it as we were walking in La Jolla and of course we had to try it It has an interesting outdoor indoor vibe. There was a line but it went pretty quickly. They had a variety of drinks but I opted for a summer special which had a coconut macadamia cream on top. Drinks came out quickly considering it was busy. Taste of the coffee was good, not too sweet and it was cute too!!! Just fyi bathroom line is longer than the coffee line

This place can get busy and there isn't much seating for the traffic that comes through. There's lots of food and coffee options which has nice. They have a lot of specialty drinks, tons of pastry items as well. The food does take a little while to get. Highly recommend the avocado toast.

Such a yummy drink - dirty chai latte with oat milk and banana cold foam. The cashier was so sweet helping us out since we had never been there before and I was asking about the menu. Our drinks came out quick and we took them with us as we walked around the town! I would love to try different drinks from there if I ever get back to one in CA. The shop is so fun since it's half inside and outside. It's expensive, but most coffee everywhere is expensive - especially in CA.

This place has been my go to during my trip here in La Jolla. They are conveniently located by my hotel. The staff is super friendly and the ambience is really bright and lit. They offer many different choices such as a blackberry cheese, danish, scones, and cinnamon rolls. Love coming here I'm going to miss it when I have to head back home to another state where we don't have this.

I had Better Buzz door dashed to work, and I was not disappointed! I do think that in general, Better Buzz might be a little more expensive than other coffee places. HOWEVER, the few times I've gone-they never ever miss on my drinks. What I mean by that is, I take one look at the color of the coffee and I know it's perfect. Whereas at other coffee places, I take a look at the drink and I know that they added too much creamer or not enough, just by looking at it and Better Buzz is very consistent, 100% in fact. So because of this, I'm willing to come here and spend a lil extra. Price aside, the drinks are always very very good. My favorite is the hazelnut divinity, it tastes like the milk leftover in your bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. It's so so so good! I also ordered a prickly pear lemonade and that was really good, too! Highly recommend!!

We stopped here while exploring La Jolla. The prices were comparable to coffee places in the Midwest but the menu was so fun and I wanted to try everything! I went with a drink off their spring menu, the banana pudding best drink ever and it was so good! Just enough banana flavor to not make it overwhelming. I also got the better breakfast sandwich. It was so good. The arugula added such a fresh crisp and the pretzel bun was a unique touch I wouldn't have thought of. Despite it being busy the service was quick and everything was made fresh instead of being heated up in a microwave! Wish we had a few locations in MN!

Love this location located on Prospect St in La Jolla. This space has a very open concept and super close to the cove if you want to walk with your coffee. There was plenty of seating inside and outside and the staff was adequate. The Banana Pudding Best Drink Ever was delicious, but is definitely on the sweeter side. Cool spot!

Walked to Better Buzz with my husband from where we were staying in La Jolla since he used to come here. He ended up getting the breakfast biscuit and coconut buzz while I got the bacon ciabatta. Coconut Buzz - Actually pretty good, it was a little too sweet for my taste, but I liked the coconut flavor to it. Wished the ice were a little smoother since it all clumped together in the middle. Bacon Ciabatta - For $10, I could have gotten something a lot better. It was pretty bland and didn't have much in it. The spicy aioli sounded a lot better than it actually was. Honestly, I would probably go to Starbucks instead of Better Buzz. It wasn't a terrible experience, but it was nothing amazing either.

I see a lot of bad reviews about service. I went in November and had such great service! The ladies were so nice to me and even chatted with me because they knew I was traveling. We visited on a Thursday and it wasn't too busy. I can see if it were a weekend it would get busier. Their signature drink is the Best Drink Ever. It's a classic americano and signature creamy vanilla. It was cool to see the layers and mixing it was pretty good. We also tried the the Mint Infused Iced Coffee. The mint flavor was spot on, I really enjoyed this one! read more

Go to coffee place when you want coffee, smoothies, food or tea. The different options allowed friends I was with to choose items other than just coffee. The coffee place is nice to sit and enjoy your items without rushing and has nice areas to sit and enjoy it, love the overall decor of Buzz coffee. I tried the pink dragon smoothie and was love that I was able to add or minus ingredients. The staff answered questions about items and the service was quick. You need a code for the bathroom so you just have to ask staff. read more

This was such a great location, nice and close to our hotel and a great way to start the morning. The OG açaí bowl was delicious, fruit was fresh and flavor was great. Cute brunch spot and cafe with very open seating and great service. Food was good and drink was not very good. I tried their Buzz blended ice coffee and it was a very sweet slush that was overwhelming. Horchata Tea Latte (2/5): Coffee had a bitter, spiced acidic taste from and had a very faint hint of horchata flavor. It tasted woody, smokey and a burnt flavor that wasn't very pleasant. I wished there was a stronger horchata and sweetness presence to balance out the espresso flavor. Better Breakfast Sandwich (3/5): Hearty breakfast sandwich with a yolky fried egg and fair portions of ingredients. The arugula was a bit too bitter and overwhelmed the rest of the flavors and I wish there was a bit more garlic aioli sauce on the buns. read more

Better Buzz coffee is located conveniently just 2-3 blocks away from the beach. They had an open space that melted with the outside which was pretty cool. It looked really modern and inviting. Spacious, with lots of seating - it made for a perfect stop along our day trip. It appeared to be quite a popular spot too. The lines were long and seating limited due to the amount of people. My mom and I got our order within about 10 mins so not the bestest of times but considering the amount of people we were pretty patient and neither was the wait terrible. We also got lucky someone was getting up as we were passing by and we were able to grab a table to rest and enjoy our coffee and meal. The coffee was delicious. I got latte which was priced around $7 which is standard these days for a coffee house of this caliber. The peanut butter and jam sandwich was also reasonable priced at $7 a slice. The presentation did impress me, but at the same time I expected something aesthetic from a stylish shop like that. For sure very Instagrammable spot if that is what you're into. read more

I understand as a business you have to be strict about the bathroom and that is their policy however if it is a juice/coffee place your customers are bound to use the restroom several times especially if they are continuing to order. Unfortunately, It did turn me away to try the food which I actually was looking forward to as they did offer organic croissant sandwiches. We decided to just choose another place to order food. Overall, service here was very poor. In terms of food, it was unfortunately pretty good but not worth the wait. I really liked the simple toast with matcha cream on top as well as the curry hamburg. My friend ordered the shakshuka (not pictured because it came last and everyone just wanted to eat at that point) which was also pretty good. For the avocado toast, the toast was too hard so I wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered a yuzu and matcha yuzu mimosa. Both tasted like yuzu. The matcha yuzu one was basically a green yuzu mimosa. They have a vero water purification system so their water was really good lol.

Liz, my barista, was so awesome; she was the one who helped my friend and me when we came. The environment here is so relaxing and fun. They have a good amount of seating, and it's an open area, so everything's open to the beautiful weather of sunny San Diego while also offering roof coverage and outdoor areas. Ive been to a lot of the better buzz locations, but this one is arguably the best one! The cafe has a very welcoming vibe, with the amazing staff to accommodate as well. So I just had the best experience ever at this location. The super visor Robert was very kind to me and very helpful. I am not good at speaking English and he helped me a lot when I was ordering. The drink he made me was AWASOME. I would give him the highest position. read more

Julissa was so cheerful and made me feel like we've been friends. I like being greeted as soon as I walk into a retail store and I have a 30 second rule! I didn't get to 5 when I was met with a smile by this young lady. I hope to come again soon! read more
