We did the catering ice cream cart for our event and people absolutely loved it! The ice cream was fantastic and the lady who served was so friendly to all our guests! Would recommend!

Delicious Double scoop indulgence ! I recommend a vegan chocolate brownie chunk ice cream, chocolatey, it's delicious especially with the chewy brownie bits. Any chocolate lover will be happy with this flavor. I topped it with a scoop the vegan cookies and cream. Both were creamy smooth, delicious plant based bacon ice cream creams one would never know it wasn't regular animal dairy cream. The sugar cone was crisp and fresh not too sweet, not too hard, Very good. Sunday night drop it searching for a vegan dessert on a warm summer night was a pleasant treat not to missed. Service was friendly and fast, plenty of open seating. Parking on this busy La Jolla St. just above La Jolla Cove is a challenge but worth the walk. A must try for any vegan or vegetarian ice cream lover.

We were walking around downtown La Jolla on a hot day and decided we needed some ice cream. We almost stopped at Haagen Dazs but then spotted this local shop and came here instead! I got the mango pineapple sorbet as a single scoop in a cup. Two of my favorite flavors that tasted excellent together! So refreshing on a sunny day. My husband got the cookies and cream, he said it was good but not anything exceptional. Glad we got to try a local ice cream spot to satisfy our craving!

Scoops La Jolla is sooo good! We tried the mango sticky rice (super creamy and tropical), the chocolate brownie (rich with legit brownie flavor), and the strawberry sorbet (fresh and refreshing). Every flavor was on point. Definitely coming back!

Cute little shop to come on a date. Their scoops are delicious. Service was fast even though it was busy for a Saturday night.

La Jolla is beautiful. Scoops is along a busy street where parking is taken up by outdoor seating. I drove around the block several times to find free parking. I finally caved and parked in the Morgan Stanley building. All parking lots are charging $14 for 2 hours. I couldn't back up as the garage was tight. Scoops is lovely. It is modern and fresh. Definitely has a beach vibe. Service was great. Plenty of staff to serve. I got the ube sorbet which was very good! I also got the blue pineapple sorbet which no one liked in my family. I'll stick with ube.

Scoops La Jolla is a must-visit if you're in the area. As someone who's lactose intolerant, I always approach ice cream with a bit of hesitation. That said, after being offered and happily trying two samples, which samples are becoming increasingly rare at ice cream shops these days, it was an easy decision. I ended up getting a two-scoop bowl with Peanut Butter Brownie Honeycomb and Hazelnut Cookies & Cream. Fully leaning into vacation mode, I added Peanut Butter Cups and crushed Oreos on top, and I did not regret it for a second. For those who are a bit more calorie- or health-conscious, one thing I really appreciated is that if you want to try two flavors without committing to two full scoops, you can order two half scoops for the price of one full scoop. That was a first for me and honestly a model I wish more ice cream shops across the country would adopt. Cassandra helped us during our visit, and she was not only incredibly friendly but also offered great recommendations that left me extremely satisfied with my choices. I will note that the ice cream is priced a bit above the national average, but in my opinion, it is absolutely worth it for the quality, experience, and service.

Great service and so many options! I wanted to try something different and picked the black cherry chocolate chip ice cream in a cone.

They also do catering! We got married in La Jolla this past weekend and really wanted a sweet treat to end the night for our guests. The ice cream was delicious, the setup was super cute, and they were above and beyond professional and communicative throughout the whole planning process. Would recommend using Scoops for any fun events you have in the area!

I am incredibly disappointed and feel ripped off. I brought my kids in March 2. We were greeted and offered assistance from a female employee behind the counter that didn't smile but looked a little hesitant (realized later she probably was a new hire). I told her my kids had certificates and handed her the certificates. She didn't put her hand out so I placed the certificates on top of the glass ice cream case between us. She glanced at them as if she knew and didn't need to read them. I proceeded to tell her the flavors my kids wanted. She didn't ask what size. She scooped and handed the kids their cups. Not generous scoops but I assumed that's what was included with their prize certificates. We thought we were done but then she said the certificates only covered the kiddie size scoop and she scooped us small size scoops. I was annoyed but offered to pay the difference. I didn't see the cost of a kiddie size on the menu. The manager stepped in and said since the certificate weee good until the end of the month "why don't you just save the certificates for next time and you can just pay for these". I told her we wouldn't be able to come again before the expiration. So the manager said "ok then we'll give one free and you can pay for the other size small". I was a bit taken back and didn't want to hold up other customers so I just paid and left but thought later I probably should not have agreed. I feel it was their mistake. I shouldn't have had to pay since we had certificates for 2 free scoops. Poor training. Poor customer service by both the staff and manager. This was handled very poorly.

The flavor was good but the quality felt "chalky" when eating. The quality could have definitely been better.

Well, today was not the day to get it right either. First we waited 15 minutes for someone to even take our order, and since this was at the start of a different shift (we were the last order before 4), I guess they didn't even print our receipt and 3 people got their orders before I even realized what was going on. Mind you, this is now half an hour in front of the register. I ordered 2 Triple C's, with me asking for one to be adjusted to add Nutella and take out whipped cream. I got a hot cake with Nutella and caramel syrup, without ice cream, custard, Oreos or ice cream. I would suggest training these kids to properly handle food, but it would be a moot point past their blank stare, considering their brains short-circuit the moment they need to follow a different set of directions. At this point, I'm sick of it and I just want to leave and not cause a scene over an order of stupid crepes, which is btw, almost $40 (!!) with tip and tax. Totally unacceptable.

The white was cooked but creamy and even a little crisp edge like I like. The egg yolk was runny like a velvety sauce but not gooey. I appreciated that it was not drenched in hollandaise sauce, but just enough to add flavor and creaminess. The ham was light and thinly sliced to add a nice flavor. The added perfection was the fresh green crispy tart romaine salad to cut the creaminess of the sandwich and add a crunch. Our drinks were likewise delicious. The Mexican Mocha with Abuelita chocolate was the best I've had in a while--chocolatey but not in an oversweet way. The creamy iced caramel latte also was delicious without being too sweet. Finally the fruit tart had a buttery crumbly crust and fresh natural tasting (not overly sweetened) fruit was yummy. The decor is so fun. The decor and setting is cute and quirky, including cow sculptures hanging upside down from the ceiling. There were only a couple other visitors when we arrived, as it was near opening time. Our dishes took a whopping 35 minutes to be ready, and service was not very friendly nor helpful. Luckily, the music playing through the speakers added a nice vibe to the place, songs like Our House by Madness and Can't Fight This Feeling. We ordered the brunch pizza (with eggs cooked overeasy) and the breakfast flatbread which looked almost identical when served, as well as an iced mocha. The quality of the pizza was pretty average, and the eggs were slightly overcooked. The drink was really good, made fresh, with a smooth taste and a nice sweetness to it, the plastic cup coated in chocolate sauce. It tasted more like chocolate milk with a hint of coffee, which I personally enjoyed. They typically serve gelato here, but it would not be ready till almost two hours after opening time. So no milkshakes or cold desserts were available in the morning this past Sunday (no worries, Ghirardelli is just a block away). I appreciate the variety of menu items offered here. But they really should communicate online that their gelato's not ready till two hours into the day. If there's one thing that irks me about an establishment, it's failure to communicate appropriately. Even though our recent visit was somewhat disappointing, I still gave 3 stars, assuming this was an off day for them.
