Coffee is good but some of the girls working there now are total bitches. I miss the original employees at the San Marcos location.

Found this through Yelp and definately agree this is a good find. The girls are really nice and helpful. I told them what I normally drink, and over the past three days they have perfected it... or as good as they can get it. I normally have four shots of espresso in my frappe every morning, but Better Buzz uses coffe, so i have them add two shots which brings the drink to over $5... ouch! Who cares, that is why I have a job. read more

Absolutely delicious. Best drinks ever. Nothing else needs to be said. I tried it after passing by a few times and it's a very tiny drive thru. It has a small walk up window and a few seats outside. If you enjoy Starbucks or other to go coffee stores. This is a must try. read more

Stopped by Better Buzz, San Marcos on a warm summer day and ordered an iced coffee (I know, nothing fancy). It was good and strong. They have a nice patio area, or you can use the drive-thru if you are in a hurry. I like this concept of a drive-thru coffee place, which is a nice diversion from other coffee shops. I plan on returning and trying another beverage soon. read more

Really great coffee and unique. Their honey latte is amazing. The drive through option is always convenient and price is avg. The only reason I knocked a star is that often times my drink has been a little sloppy on the outside. IE coffee dripping out or lid insecure/ sticky stuff on cup. Its not all the time; but I like to keep my car clean and don't want to be that snotty person asking for a new drink so I just make a mess each time its happened. Every time I order a cold drink there is always "drink" on the under part of the lid that you have to clean up or have extra napkins in your car for. It's funny because when you get hot coffee they have these adorable cardboard type stickers they put on top to avoid spillage- so the owners are obviously trying to be considerate and think ahead, but the employees seems to maybe be a little careless when pouring and putting lids on. I don't know. It's a weird thing to complain about but really a issue to get messy cups all the time. I want my coffee IN the cup please. The drinks and quality really is great though, definitely worth trying. It's so yummy that i have driven here from my house in Vista if I am having a "craving". read more

Weekend coffees are not as well prepared. We've noticed on several occasions like this morning, for example, my 1/2 sweet Honey Latte is neither sweet or latte tasting. Tastes like coffee was over-roasted or burnt. Customer service can be less stellar as on weekends too. I purchased a black card that their reader can't read after the first purchase so instead of replacing the card I was told to call the office to fix. read more

After my friend got me a mint mocha, I was an addict. They take a little longer than Starbucks but definitely worth the wait. Today was my last visit though, after I ordered my usual hot mint mocha but got it blended. Not a big deal, people are not robots and mistakes happen. However, instead of an apology I was adamantly told I ordered a blended coffee (NO, you ordered a blended mint mocha...)- I never order order iced coffee. If you mishear an order, that's fine, but don't argue with the customer. Then my corrected drink was watery and did not have any mint syrup. There was no effort to make the mistake right. I liked Better Buzz but for the piss poor attitude from the barista, I'd rather avoid it and drive down the block to Starbucks. They get one star for making good coffee when they get the order right but I won't be making the mistake of paying for watered down, flavorless coffee again. read more

Better Buzz id definitely better than Starbucks! I often try and switch it up and everything is always good! The only issue I have is that they can be slow and the menu needs to be updated. I constantly try and get the yogurt parfait which they don't have but has been up for over 2 months! The staff are always friendly and try hard to get you in and out of the drive thru based on their ability. read more

I've been here a couple of times, tried a couple of drinks to give this place a fair shot because Ive read some awesome reviews, but I came to the conclusion that I really just don't like the place. The Iced lattes are just too sweet. I ordered extra shots and the price of the coffee with the shots is just much more than I'm willing to pay for my everyday coffee. I don't feel right paying extra to have my coffee taste like coffee. Starbucks is a better option for me personally although my boyfriend does like this location. It depends on what you like really. Also out of the five or so times I've gone I've only had good customer service once. read more

Every single time I come to better buzz The girls are so friendly to me both at the speaker box ( or person standing outside taking orders) and window! The line is not that long of a wait which is cool :) my drinks are always perfect whether it's a iced or ice blended drinks. For being a little coffee shop they definitely kill it ! This coffee shop is one of the best. At Starbucks you can't even taste the coffee and when you do their coffee in my opinion is nasty. Better Buzz always makes a good latte, Americano etc. and you definitely taste the coffee and it tastes very good. The pastries are yummy also. I love this place; I wish there were more stores. LOVE their coffee...and I am NOT a coffee drinker. One try after the suggestion of a friend - who also was not a coffee drinker - and I was hooked. One suggestion though: speed. Each time I go it's an expenditure of 10 - 12 minutes minimum whether there are 5 cars in front of me or none. Too long! This is the best coffee house ever. I used to drop by here every now and then but since I found their carmel-vanilla latte, I pick up one every afternoon @ 3PM. To me Starbucks is cult-like and I do not like the snobbery that seems to come with getting coffee there. That is why Better Buzz has had my business for the last 3 years. The coffee is great and the ladies that work there are down to earth and personable. It can take a little while in the drive-thru in the morning but I feel they are still faster than Starbucks. I drive-by a Starbucks on my way to Better Buzz and see a line wrapping around the parking lot, I just shake my head and think, those people don't know what they're missing. read more
