First time trying Better Buzz & was disappointed with the quality of matcha that they serve. I ordered an iced matcha w oat milk. Right when seeing the cup served the vibrant color ceremonial matcha has was def not there. Instead, it was a murky dull pale green. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt since we had pulled off of the drive thru. The matcha was lacking the typical matcha flavor & just taste like milk w a hint of sweetener. read more

Hands down a favorite of mine for years now when visiting California; so when I saw they were opening in Arizona a year ago I would drive to their Phoenix location whenever I could, then Tempe and of course this morning on their official opening day. Bright and early I made my way to the already formed line. Hoping to get a free hat and cup. Periodically some employees came out of greet us and get ready to help the double lane thru start. Right at 4:30 doors opened to smiles and welcome greetings. We received our awesome free items. While pretty long, the line went fairly quick. The entire time everyone was friendly and energized. Once at the counter I was asked if I was a loyalty member which of course I am so that I can earn points towards free and discounted drinks etc. they offer order ahead as well. Our cashier was so kind and calm through the chaos. The inside is quite smaller than other locations with limited sitting, but with the walkable areas around Surprise near the spring training field (this location) as well as Prasada this is becoming more common. They do offer good size patio seating if you'd like to sit outdoors. Parking even though quite crazy this morning wasn't an issue. If you've never been to a Better Buzz they offer more than just coffee. You can also find teas, smoothies, food, merchandise and of course coffee to go. Yes they are a chain, but it doesn't feel like it. The nearby "other" coffee spot has a definite run for its money. I'd choose Better Buzz first every time. Amazing job to the staff today! read more

Saturday morning I ordered a coffee from the drive thru when I turn to purchase a the window, there was a drink on the window counter been sitting there. When I finally got to the window, I purchased the coffee and she handed the drink on the window counter to me. I had to tell her to make another one because I don't know how long that coffee sitting on the counter. I see customers take a sip and they don't want it and put it on the side for the next person. I seen that happen before and I don't want coffee that been in someone's mouth. I was very paranoid and seriously a germaphobe. Not sure if I want to continue purchasing food there because of the bad attitude drive thru cashier. read more

My girlfriend and I used to come here 2-3 times a week when this store first opened but we've slowly stopped coming since we noticed the service and product get worse over time. I was skeptical to try this place because they charge so much for almond milk instead of regular milk, I don't think people with allergies should have to suffer, but I finally tried today... I did uber eats because I didn't have my car this morning and they were offering a deal, but when I got my drink I was very disappointed. The carrier just handed me a drink with no cover on the top, just completely open to all the elements.... My carrier was super nice so I didn't think she would do anything to my drink but you honestly shouldn't offer uber eats/deliveries if you do not have the resources for food safety... and coffee was mid. Twice now dealt with the same rude and petty barista. Menu knowledge also isn't common knowledge for baristas here as they don't know ingredients in their drinks which is scary. First time I ever came here I asked what was the energy concept of their energy drinks and all the girl could say was our energy blend, when I asked for further clarification she had no idea and just shrugged her shoulders. Seems like it could be a good place but I won't be back strictly because of the rude girls they have working here. I'm in customer service and you don't treat people like that. Im loving the new Better Buzz in Surprise. The atmosphere is super chill, bright, modern, and just a good vibe. It feels like the kind of place you actually want to spend some time in. Service has been on point too, drinks come out quick, even when it's busy, and the staff is always upbeat. The menu's got variety, and everything I've tried so far has been solid (highly recommend the "Best Drink Ever" and their breakfast wraps). Quick shout-out to James--he really knows his coffee and is always eager to help you figure out what to try next. Super friendly and makes the whole experience even better. Overall, great spot with good energy, quick service, and people who clearly enjoy what they're doing. Definitely a nice addition to the area. read more

The water in the store was off so employees could not wash hands or kitchen utensils. You could not get half of their menu without the water so limited options. Bathrooms were closed so you had to walk through the parking lots to find somewhere else to use the bathroom. read more
