If you are looking for a fancy bar this is not your bar!! However if you are looking for a dive bar then check it out. There was only a few people in the bar when we stopped in and checked it out. They had Karaoke going on the night we were there and were playing a good variety of music. I see they did have a list of food specials but I have no idea what food they offer or how it is. Fantastic neighborhood bar and grill. The bartenders are great. I was a new first time guest and I was greeted by the bartender immediately. She introduced herself and was willing to engage with friendly conversation. The regulars at the far end of the bar were friendly welcoming a stranger. I tried the Ruben rolls and they were fantastic! I love a neighborhood bar especially one that is welcoming to strangers. I highly recommend going to this friendly neighborhood bar. TERRIBLE! Women manager was the rudest, unkind, and mean bar staff I have ever met. Worst bar service I have received. Would not recommend. 0/10 if you aren't 50 then find somewhere else. They are rude to anyone who is 21-29. They need Bar rescue to come in and help then get their act together. read more

Really fun little hole in the wall bar! Karaoke is a blast and you never really know what kind of crowd you're going to get there, but it's always a good time! Bartenders are nice, owner is awesome and gives out free shots sometimes! My fiancé and I love to go there! read more

Horrible waitress. Wasn't allowed in because she was unaware of the Kansas ID laws. She asked the owner and they seemed unaware as well. Very poor management in my opinion. Lost out on our business and won't be coming back. Followed us out the door and yelled at us. Many better places in the area, don't waste your time. read more

Like the previous review below mine, the staff here didn't like our group of young folks in their late 20's. Also thought they may be racist since they kicked the only few people of color out of the bar for no reason, when asked she said "because I'm the bar manager" this was the first and last time here and wouldn't recommend anyone to come here. We have been here many times and loved the atmosphere and service but tonight they asked us to leave because the Karaoke lady was offended when we chanted let's get this going. We were a party of two and were not being rowdy or aggressive in anyway but the karaoke lady felt the need to be that person tonight. We won't be back. I know our $100 won't mean anything to them but so sad they let their provider run the place based on their "feelings" vs. running the place themselves. read more

I used to love this dive. The woman who has no teeth, works behind the bar, and claims to be bar manager, showed a horrific display of racism to my friends. She gave my friend a very hard time and made a huge scene because she couldn't understand his accent. She told him to finish his drink she just made and then to leave after. While finishing his drink, she barged over, pointed to him and my other ethnic friends and said "you people need to get out!"My African American friend had not yet gotten a drink, and said "I haven't done anything or got a drink yet why am I getting kicked out?" and she screamed "Get out" again. Meanwhile I am white and she had nothing to say to me. She is on meth what seems to be constantly (which is a bigger issue) and she makes the experience of hanging out there unpleasant . I knew she had bad customer service prior to this but chucked it up to a personality trait. No one was rude or violent and her excuse for kicking us out when I asked was "because I'm bar manager" I hope she is considered to be fired. I think by my description everyone will know exactly who I'm talking about. While I'm at it, another thing is she likes to excessively scratch her head (most likely to get to her meth scabs) and then touch the lemons to hand in customers drinks. Gross. Great bar, great crowd, great food and great owner! Plus vibes are super? One if the best dive bar's I've been too.

Local crowd, great place to watch a game and have a beer. Very friendly atmosphere, outside patio in back.

Great prices on drinks, great bar food, and even better service!! An absolute staple of a shawnee dive!

Excellent experience. Karaoke had a great variety of flavor and excellent singing too.

My grilled chicken sandwich was delicious, with a generous portion of moist, tasty chicken on a buttered bun with fresh toppings, and perfectly seasoned fries. The menu price was reasonable at $7.95, but daily food and drink specials were also available (including $0.75 tacos on Wednesdays and $5.00 burger with fries on Thursdays). The service was exceptional (friendly, cheerful, attentive, and fast). There was one pool table, an electronic dart board, one of those new juke boxes, patio seating in the rear, and a parking lot a few steps to the west. Very nice! read more

We've been by this place a hundred times and noticed that there were good reviews so it was time for us to check it out. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday a while back and it was extremely slow time which we thought was weird. We sat at a table near the front door and after sitting there for 10 minutes and no one coming by or even acknowledging us, we moved to the bar. There was a small group of people sitting inside and we noticed one of the employees kept chatting going over to chat with the group. At this point, I was ready to walk out, but luckily the bartender decided to finally greet us and at least ask for our drink orders. The food was just ok and the service was lacking overall so this was more than likely my only visit here. read more

Tasty food and very friendly staff. It's your typical bar and grill menu, but they do a good job. I had the tenderloin and my husband had the polish sausage topped with chili. The tenderloin was one of the better ones I've had in the area. Good seasoning and crunch. It's not going to knock Kitty's tenderloin out of the #1 spot in my heart, but I'd definitely order it again. For dessert they have a selection of Golden Boy pies, which are made in OP. This place is a decent little dive bar. It used to have pennies glued floor. My cheeseburger was the bomb and beer was cold. My son threw up his nuggets in the bathroom though and my buddy had a hair in his BLT. Other than that folks were nice. read more

Went there on Friday night around 7pm. I had the tenderloin and it was overcooked, my wife had a hamburger and said it was bland. The table next to us had 6 drunks that were very loud and cussing the whole time we were there. I will never go back. read more

Stopped in for a beer one evening with a friend,. Wait Staff was great. She said the food was the best and that we should come back. Well 3 days later I returned for lunch. Saturday special was Tenderloins. I ordered the Special with Onion Rings and the Jamaican Jerk wings. The Tenderloin was the best I have ever had anywhere. Had a season I did not recognize that set the whole thing off,. Onion Rings were great too, not those soggy kind that pull out on the first bite, but crunchy and fresh. The wings were good, not great because they were just a tad overdone, but a good flavor with a touch of heat. Bartender was terrific, making sure we were well taken care of. Full bar to belly up to, this small bar will be a great stop for me anytime I am in Shawnee. read more

One star may be too generous, though I can't complain about the waitress or the taste of the food. The atmosphere was like nothing I have ever experienced. If you enjoy eating a meal and listening to profanity being screamed from another customer sitting at the bar, then this place should be at the top of your list.
