Great Korean food in Glendale in the former Kim's Kitchen space. My parents frequented the former and have continued to support it now that it is Beulah Kitchen. We like to get the galbi or the bulgogi and we ordered those again this past weekend. The bbq beef rib or galbi is not cheap at $24.99 but the amount of beef ribs you get can feed 2 or in my case, make for 2 meals. The galbi is marinated and grilled to perfection. Great with rice or on its own. You get a selection of banchan with each entree and also a healthy serving of rice. The banchan this time was bean sprouts, kimchi, green onion pancakes and fish cake. I would order this again even at it's price. Wish it wasn't so much... If any more expensive than it already is, then I probably would not... The galbi tasted good, was authentic with regards to flavor and the banchan was good as well. The beef bulgogi ($19.99) was thin slices of marinated beef in a sweet soy sauce based sauce. It was very good and you also get a heaping portion of this as well. I could also see how this could feed 2 people. Good portion, good flavor. Great little "hole-in the wall" Korean restaurant. Order at the counter, served to your table. The food here is at a similar level as what one would expect to find in a higher- end restaurant in K-town. It doesn't have much atmosphere but the prices are reasonable. I had the beef Bibimbap in a stone bowl. Excellent! With all the fixings including Banchan. The rice was nice and crispy on the bottom! My friend had the Jap Char and seafood Soybean Soup mild. Yum! I can really only comment on the beef bulgogi kimbap, but it was really tasty and well put together! Also super fairly priced. Every element of the dish was fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Presentation was also on point. I loved that their eat-in container turns into a to-go container if you just request a lid. We easily found street parking in front, but there is also a small lot on the side. Right across from the dollar store. Small interior, but friendly and efficient service. Seems like it's a family-run business, which is also so great. Definitely wouldn't mind going back and trying more dishes if I'm in the mood for Korean food. ;) read more

Raw eggs in the bibimbap and an overall thin experience. Loads of jalapeños in one order of the pork bulgogi (and yet not flavorfully spicy - I like it spicy). The other order of bulgogi had only one slice of jalapeño - but same flavor (maybe they were tossed in at time of serving for garnish??). Not really grilled flavor on either bulgogi - just seemed like it was sautéd in sauce. Pajeon was good, but not enough to make up for the meal. Didn't notice this restaurant opened nearby at the end of 2020; but was moving into a home and raising a puppy at the time. It's been hard finding some good Korean food in the area and now the search is over! It's a small operation but quite busy. Patience maybe needed. Small sacrifice to avoid the over-covid gridlock to Koreatown. Street parking can be difficult. It does have a small driveway leading into a small lot. What a great find in Glendale! If you're looking for tasty Korean food -- this is THE place! I did order take out to get dinner after work and everything was packaged so perfectly. The portions were a lot larger than I expected too! I was getting meals for 3 people (Beef Bulgogi, Beef Bibimbap, Soondubu) and you would think I was feeding a small army LOL. The parking lot is VERY tiny. I had to circle a couple times in order to truly fit in the lot. They were kind enough to help bring the food to my car! Which was really nice of them. it's a pain going to ktown to get Korean food. I finally found a spot that serves yummy Korean food . I forgot to take a pic of the soups I ordered . I ordered also soon tofu and doejang-Jjige. They give huge portions and pack it really well. The older gentleman who took my order and rang me up was super nice. The only bad thing is the parking. Only a few spots in the back and limited street parking so give urself a few mins to find a parking spot. The place was clean and I would definitively ordered take out again. read more

It's nice to find a Korean place in Glendale too as you'd usually have to drive to Koreatown or La Crescenta-Montrose area. I'll definitely be back to try other menu items. Parking lot is extremely small and one path for both incoming and outgoing traffic -- please reconsider parking here if you own a large vehicle or an SUV, just park on the street. There are only a few extremely small parking spots so unless you own a compact vehicle or a VW Golf -- chances are that you'll struggle to park and maneuver getting in and out if the lot is even semi-full. read more

I love this place. First of all, the customer service is really AWESOME! Me and my husband go here so many times and don't recall any rudeness from the workers. When I was pregnant and had to limit my sugar intake, they went the extra mile with pork/squid kimchi stew and not add any in! We were so happy when the lady did that. We recently went in and the same lady happened to serve us again but this time we came with our newborn baby. It's true-Beulah is at the location of the former Kim's Kitchen. My daughter and I decided to give it a try. We were very happy with all that we ordered: the kimchi soup and the beef bulgogi. We had previously bought a jar of homemade kimchi from Kim's Kitchen and the friendly lady on the phone said she would be glad to prepare a bottle for us. The banchan was delicious, packed very well, each in its own separate compartment. It's so nice to have Korean food without having to make the trek to Koreatown. I love this place. I love that they have delicious, home-style Korean food. I love that it's prepared family style. I love that the menu rotates so you get to try different dishes (but I always let them know which ones were my favorite so they'll come back on the menu). Honestly, Korean food takes a lot of time and prep, so it's hard for me to make it for my family. But Beulah has perfected their dishes and I have zero regrets about picking up a delicious meal to make sure my kids know what good Korean food tastes like.
